BEWARE!!!! I realize some of the reviews are awesome however if you're willing to roll the dice then go ahead and use this company. My partner and I booked online feeling confident after reading some of the awesome reviews. We anticipated that a driver would be waiting for us as indicated upon arriving in Barcelona however to our disappointing surprise we waited over 40 minutes for a driver to arrive. In that 40 minutes we called customer service three times and they continued to tell us that the driver was looking for parking -finally someone showed up and said they were told to come pick us up because the driver was stuck in traffic. (I would also like to mention that we paid extra for a premium minivan and the car we got was a hatchback). Not sure who is telling the truth nevertheless he was visibly annoyed and outwardly annoyed that he had to pick us up as he told us he was supposed to be driving home right now not half hour away to Sitges. He was driving fast and again was visibly bothered. We tried to make pleasant small talk but he blatantly ignored us. When we booked online we also booked the return trip. Because we had a plane to catch we called the day before to make sure that we were still scheduled and expressed our concerns about the initial pick up being late and wanted some reassurance that the second transfer wouldn't be equally as late. Customer service told us that they would call us back to finalize the pick up details. I asked customer service to please text me as well as call so that I would be sure to receive the information. When we didn't hear back from them six hours later we called again. The customer service agent, again extremely annoyed, said they tried calling us three times however we had no missed calls and we tried to explain that and also explain that we didn't receive a text either but because they were talking over us they did not acknowledge what we were saying. Thankfully, we were picked up for the airport on time- the driver was a few minutes early which made us happy because we were ready early and we were nervous. The driver was not friendly at all, he didn't have a paper with our name so we asked him if he was from suntansfer and he asked our name and we told him (obviously) but he was standoffish and cold. This is not the type of service we are used to or welcome. We have booked many car services world wide and this one was sub par (and that's me being nice). The only redeeming quality is that we were picked up and made it to airport on time. read more

Great service. Friendly and prompt drivers on our trips both to and from the airport. Had to change my pickup time on short notice going back to the airport, and they were able to accommodate me. We got a minivan that was a newer model, and very clean and comfortable. Price was also very competitive. Would definitely recommend Sun Transfers. read more

WORST CAR SERVICE EVER! We arrived at the airport in London on time and could not find our driver anywhere. After 10 minutes I call the office, 30 minutes later the driver shows up. He had been sitting down having breakfast in the terminal. On our booked return leg the driver was not in the lobby. I called the service and they said the driver waited for 25 minutes than left. I asked how could that be as it is now 7:10 and our pickup was for 7:00. I informed him we have been in the lobby the whole time. The man for the service began to yell at me, calling me a liar and telling me my time was wrong. I confirmed the time on my phone with the lobby and he told me the driver would not be coming back, he was dispatched for another fair and I needed to find my own way back to the airport, then hung up on me. I have posted below excerpts of the letter I sent to Sun Transfers detailing my daughters experience of the company in the hope that other people may think twice before using them and also so that they may decide to do something to prevent such an appalling repeat. Please be advise that I am absolutely disgusted with the treatment my daughter and her friend Mr Abernethy received today by your company. My daughter has been extremely in hospital for 6 days in Spain and only came out yesterday. As a result she was booked on the first available flight home my her insurance company and I booked and purchased a transfer with yourselves so as to ensure that she would have a trouble free journey to the Airport after her hospital stay. My daughter was contacted via a message from the Hotel reception this morning and advised that you would not be picking her up until 13.00 hrs instead of the requested 12.30 pm booking that was made... No reason was given for this... At approximately 13.10 hrs after being stood in the pouring rain for 20 minutes my daughter contacted your office to find out where the taxi was... To her complete horror and my utter amazement she was simply advised.... we can not send anyone....phone your own taxi and we will give you your money back.... Why ? Why ? Why ? No apology was given and no explanation...why was she not called to advise this ? To make matters worse my daughter and her friend had no money and had to contact me in the UK to transfer her some to pay for the taxi the hotel ordered. When she told the Sun Transfers rep this on the phone at the time, she was simply told "there is nothing we can do". !!!!! Why couldn't you .. Sun Transfers ... have called a cab for my daughter and paid for it on an account or via card payment which is what my daughter had to do ????? I will be sure to share my experiences of this horrendous treatment by your shambolic company to all. Fortunately and no thanks to you the Hotel called a taxi and my daughter managed to catch her flight just in time...causing her immense and totally unnecessary stress after having been seriously ill in hospital for a week. Never again will I ever use your company and I will advise all my friends and family and all Trip Advisor and Trust Pilot Customers to do the same. I set up a transfer for my wife with a broken foot, my son and his wife and their 2 small children, along with my third son and his girlfriend at the Madrid airport. I clearly told them 5 adults and two children to be transferred to an Airbnb in central Madrid. The confirmation described a van to pick them up. My third son and his girlfriend arrived early and took their own cab to the apartment. For some reason, Suntransfer sent a full size coach bus. At first everyone thought it was cool until they arrived in central Madrid. The bus could not drop them off at the apartment because of the narrow road. Instead, they had to get out of the bus with all their luggage 3 blocks from the apartment. Remind you, a 60 year old grandmother with a broken foot in a boot, a 2 year old and a 6 month and about 6 pieces of large luggage. After struggling to get to the apartment, my wife had to rest an extra day in Madrid. She lost a day of sightseeing in her wheelchair. I was upset and called/emailed Suntransfer asking for a refund. I asked why a full sized bus and not the van. The confirmed emails clearly show 5 adults and two children. The agent said it was a mistake that someone put 12 people. Then she quickly followed up by saying that Suntransfer had a right to substitute another vehicle. The agent refused to refund my payment. Suntransfer made an mistake and refused to resolve it. Rates were reasonable, driver was 10 minutes early and I was very happy with the service.

We booked Suntransfers to pick us up at the Madrid Airport after a long overseas flight. We had provided the info on our flight well in advance. Sun transfers confirmed they would be there. They were nowhere to be found when we arrived. We went to where other drivers were picking up and they said we were in the right spot. After waiting quite awhile we decided to call-which cost us long distance charges. They said they did not have an answer and would have to call us back. After 10-15 minutes when we did not receive a call back we phoned again and we were told our driver was stuck in traffic and it would be another 15 minutes. We wondered how all the other drivers were there and only our driver got stuck in traffic? We had waited so long and were very tired so I told Sun transfers we would take a cab and that I would like to cancel. I was told that was not possible. I followed up when I arrived home asking for my money back and I have yet to receive ANY reply to my numerous emails. I would not recommend using this service read more

Service was great. We arrived in Barcelona on the biggest holiday of the year- Sept 24. They called and emailed several days in advance to let me know that they might not be able to drop us off right in front of our hotel because of road closures on the Rambla. As it turned out, it was not an issue. We were met by a very nice gentleman with a clear, visible sign inside the terminal. On the return trip, the driver arrived about 5 minutes early and went into our hotel and had the front desk call us to let us know he was waiting outside. The cars were clean and comfortable, and the drivers were very pleasant and knowledgeable. Would definitely use them again. read more

Booked a transfer from the Airport to my hotel in Casablanca, Morocco before my trip. After a long wait through customs we walked past many drivers with signs, but none with my name on it as I was told there would be. Without cell service in Morocco I had to jump in a taxi at the airport after searching for my driver for about 20 minutes. When I complained about my experience they told me they expected me to call their office and would not refund me. I would not recommend their services, especially if you're unsure about your cell service in the country you are arriving in. Better off just using a local cab and not wasting your money. read more

Booked Sun Transfers in Dubai both from airport to hotel and then from hotel to airport. From airport to hotel the guide was visible with my name but had to wait for the driver about 15 minutes, which was fine as long as I knew that they were there. From hotel to airport driver was a few minutes earlier. Both times the drivers were very courteous and professional, cars were clean. Thank you! read more

This service was awful. They charged 50 USD for my mother to be picked up from the barcelona airport. My mom is not well0-travelled so I thought it would be nice to have "someone waiting" at the airport with a sign with her name on it. An hour passed and my mom had not arrived at the hotel. I checked her flight and it had landed 10 minutes early and I know my mom had no checked luggage. There was no number for me to call a customer service line, so I messaged with a liady back and forth asking her to call the driver because my mom was probably waiting at the airport at 1 AM wondering where to go. She told me the driver was still on the way and it was an hour late! I was freaking out hoping my mom was safe and not to frightened because as I said, she is not well-travelled. In the end she took a regular taxi because she figured nobody was coming after waiting 45 minutes and had to pay nearly 80 USD because the taxi driver took full advantage of her. I wrote all of this up in an email to Sun Transfers asking for a refund due to them not holding up their part of the deal and they said, since she did not call them, they would not refund me. How can she call them? She is from the USA and does not know how to use the internet well. I was chatting with them and letting them know that they were very late. This is a scam. I don't even care about the money, I care that my mom did not have a smooth transfer from the airport to the hotel. Very disappointed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Never again. The first time I used this transfer service, they didn't show up at the airport until we called--and then someone showed up without saying why no one had been there for us upon arrival. We then tried again--and was successful for about a half dozen transfers. Then, last month, the first flight of our three-part flight to Vienna was delayed so that we could not make our final flight. We had paid the extra 3 Euros so we could make a change in case of a change in our flight. However, upon calling, they said since our last flight had not been cancelled or changed, we would not receive a refund. It didn't matter that our first flight had been delayed so that we could not make our scheduled final leg. They then said that their transfer service should not be used if one was making connections (which I assume the majority of people have to do)--so be forewarned--if you have a delay in any part of your flight that makes you miss your original final flight, they will not refund your money unless that final flight had been cancelled or delayed. From now on, will be taking a taxi to and from the airport (which is usually either less or about the same as this service). read more

Terrible service. I booked a week in advance for a ride for my family (2 adults and 2 children) from the airport (ROME) to downtown with 4 bags as each of us would have our own suitcase. My 13 year old is considered an adult so the reservation states 3 adults 1 child. The driver was there on time and we only packed 3 bags instead of the reserved 4. The bags wouldn't fit in the car. When the driver called Patricia who is the contact person at Suntransfers in Rome, she was non-apologetic and basically blamed us for having too big a suitcase. These were standard Samsonite bags and we've never had issues elsewhere. We asked for either a refund for the prepaid fare but that was no good - she wouldn't even think of that. So, we asked for a different car but she wouldn't budge on the fact that it was our fault for having "too big a bag". In the end, we had two of the suitcases in the trunk and then crammed one in the back seat with the 3 passengers. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE 40 minutes from the airport to downtown. I cancelled the return portion of the pickup immediately when checking into the hotel. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AS THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. Great service, on time, very clean vehicles. Our plane to Germany from the US was 30 minutes late and SunTransfers, monitor the flights and new it and adjusted their schedule to accommodate that. I had to call them the night before we were leaving to see if they could pick us up 1/2 hour earlier and they accommodated that also. Would definitely use again, no problems at all. read more

Please DON'T ever consider using Suntransfers. My wife and I were told to take a taxi in Barcelona because the driver didn't show up. I was told I would get a refund. Well, they credited my charge card for the original cost of the transfer. However, the difference between that cost and the taxi fare was wired to my bank. Well, the fee I had to pay the bank was more than the amount wired. They wouldn't even compensate me for the tip I gave the taxi driver. That's good business practice!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Do not use this company! You are SOL if you need to make a change. 4 of us were to all take the same flight to Barcelona. As taxis are small and we all had luggage, we booked a luxury car from SunTransfers to transfer us to our hotel. I also purchased the "Gold Protection" coverage just in case. As we were traveling on American Airlines, the inevitable happened - 3 of us missed our connecting flight to Barcelona. No way to get there until the next day and we had to stay overnight in Charlotte. Plan B: I would re-schedule the car for to pick us up on from the flight we would be on the next day and the one person who did make the flight can take a taxi to the hotel. ahh- but no dice! I called Suntransfer as soon as I could ( 11 hours before or scheduled arrival in Barcelona). The staffed 24 hr number that they provided was NOT answered.I got an answer 2.5 hours later when I tried again. and asked to re-schedule because we were not on the flight we booked. They asked of the flight had been cancelled. I explained that it had not been cancelled - we were not on it though because our connecting flight was 4 hours late. Too bad - so sad!. They will only re-schedule if the flight was cancelled! I again explained that we were not on that flight, we missed it because of missed connecting flight and asked to re-schedule the car for the next day - again, I bought their Gold Protection. Again I was told that since the flight was not CANCELLED, I could not re-schedule. As it was now 230AM and I now had a 6 AM flight to catch, I told them to just CANCEL the car and that I would dispute the charge with the credit card company. Now here comes the funny(?) part. My daughter is the one person that did make the flight to Barcelona. When she landed, I told her to look to see if there was someone there from Suntransfers, with a sign with my name on it. Sure enough - they were there to pick us up! Keep in mind that they had NO IDEA that one of us did make the flight and I told them to CANCEL as we would NOT be there! Pure Genius. In the interest of full disclosure, I told my daughter to take the car and she had no problems with the ride. When we arrived the next day, I had the additional expense of getting a taxi for the 3 of us. There is no way that I would try to arrange another car with Suntransfers. read more

Suntransfers is a fine service if there are no delays with your flight. My final destination was Florence Italy connecting from Rome embarking from LA. Our plane from LA was significantly delayed and I called suntransfer indicating I may not make my connection in Rome, thus missing my plane to Florence. Was told by customer service they will keep the driver in Florence informed and to call as soon as I arrive in Rome, and let them know my status. Called when I arrived in Rome, to the tune of 20$ roaming fee, and was told by the suntransfer person, because I did not call within the hour wait time frame the driver left. So lost 50$ on them not following through with their service, then had to pay another taxi to get to Florence. I did everything I possibly could to inform them of my delay and through no fault of my own, I could not make the connection. I would recommend highly to never use this service if you have a connection. On the voucher they only will follow your final flight and in fact want no other flight info. I used city transfers for other shuttle service and my connecting flight was delayed well past the hour wait time limit and they waited. I contacted suntransfer customer service after my return, and not one person understood my plight. Further do not pay the extra for the gold service as it only covers canceled flights, not delayed. That was also a waste of my money. Suntransfers told me it was Alitalia's fault and complain to them. I did, and they deferred back to suntransfer. It was a horrible and frustrating experience that suntransfer felt was not their problem. Also it should be noted, that suntransfer indicates on their web page that will call the mobile number provided if you do not show. They never called my number. Again no culpability. Do not use this service, as there are others who appear to follow through with their service in a much more professional manner. read more

Do not use this company at all, I booked a transfer back from Barcelona City to Barcelona Airport for Sunday 20 July to be picked up at 10.30. I sent at least 5 emails explaining that it was for my daughter and she was travelling back to the airport alone,so to make sure she is picked up on time, I was assured that everything was in order. My daughter telephoned me to say that the driver was still at the airport and she has been told to make her own way to the airport they telephoned her at 11.10 (knowing she had to be at airport for 12). I telephoned the number and was told the driver is delayed and she needs to make her own way there. I explained she is a young girl in a strange city with very little money, no card and that is why I booked a transfer and that I didn't want her to get into a strange taxi, whereas I booked with them so I assumed she would be picked up and safe. The customer service person didn't care, she said if she doesn't get a taxi there now, then she will miss her flight and theres nothing they can do. This company lies they take your money and then leave you stranded. please do not use. Like you are doing now I read all the reviews and I could hardly find a bad one so I chose to go with them.
