It worked well for me using the GoTuscon Transit app to buy tickets. I explored 4th Avenue and found my way to the Convention Center and other gem show shuttle hubs from stops on the streetcar line. Very clean, often with fare enforcers who will scan your ticket. I don't give it more than 4 stars because when there aren't fare enforcers on the streetcar it is not clear how to scan ticket from the app. Overall very user friendly public transportation. For the gem show I parked near University Blvd & 6th, unrestricted street parking, walking a few blocks to board at the stop near Epic Cafe.

I love the idea that the SunLink connects locals to five districts: Mercado, Downtown, 4th Avenue, Main Gate Square & UOfA. After trying to use the Tucson "Modern" Streetcar since its debut, I've concluded that he hours of operation need improvement. Additionally,they don't make it easy to buy a ticket. The machines regularly run out of tickets, or they give you tickets that don't work. This often leads to an embarrassing exchange with the Fare Enforcements officers. To make matters worse, loading them online is even more complicated. Sure.... I'll Drive east to Alvernon to a Frys supermarket to buy a pass. Yep.....That makes a whole lot of sense.

Rather than selecting your own departure time, Groome assigns you a departure time based on your flight departure, allowing for plenty of extra buffer time. If you're the type of person that does not like to spend any extra time waiting for a ride or in the airport, Groome may not be the best for you as they dropped me a good two hours in advance of my flight departure. That being said, if you like having a chance to visit the airport lounge or grab a bite to eat at the terminal, Groome could be perfect for you. I arrived to the pick up spot about 10 minutes before my scheduled departure time and ended up waiting until about 15 minutes or so after the scheduled time. They do have a primitive trailer with air conditioning to escape the Arizona heat. Take note that they have multiple rides every single day so the van already at the pick up spot may not be your ride. Be sure to check with the driver before getting in. When the van finally arrived, they checked everyone in and made sure to do a final head count before departing. The van itself was fairly spacious and comfortable. About an hour and a half later, we were at the airport! Overall, no complaints. I would do this again.

Their flight arrived at 10:30 PM, with the shuttle scheduled for 11:30 PM, but the driver never showed up. They left my entire family -- who had never been to Arizona before -- completely stranded at the airport with nowhere to go at night. No emergency contact, no outreach, and they waited over an hour. This was extremely unethical and wrong, putting my family in a dangerous and stressful situation in an unfamiliar place. Groome tried blaming us for being in the wrong location. The manager was only focused on asking where we were waiting so she could find an excuse to blame us rather than offer any assistance or explanation. It wasn't until I caught her in her lies -- because I already knew about the construction they were unaware of -- that she finally gave up and issued a partial refund. She still owes me one more refund. She initially tried to give credit from a prior trip instead and refused to help cover any of the $500 rental car I had to pay at 2 AM. I've used Groome for several years thinking they were safe and reliable. They ask for flight information and make you believe they monitor flights and care about your arrival. I never received a single phone call the next day. I had to reach out first. They showed zero remorse. After the refund, the manager brushed me off saying "have a good day" and stopped responding to my messages because she didn't want to help anymore. Groome does not care about your safety -- all they want is your money. They look professional but will leave you to die. Do not use them if you want your family in good hands.

I have to act quickly too, because the storage fee goes up every day that I'm not able to come in and pick up MY ONLY VEHICLE. I'm sure the owners/employees are decent people. I stayed here for 5 nights with my 3-year old son and felt very safe the entire time. The hotel staff are friendly and professional. That being said, this is not a vacation destination. It's a bare bones box with walls that will keep you comfortable while you repaint your house or something. The rooms are small and cheaply decorated. There are very few amenities that the hotel has to offer other than free coffee. Everything considered the 65 dollar/night price tag is a good deal and you have everything you could possibly need within walking distance (Costco, Walmart, Planet Fitness, Dave and Busters, 10+ restaurants). I wouldn't stay again with my son but would recommend to anyone on a road trip that wants a real bed and bathroom for the night.
