We bought our house three months ago and still cannot get anything done because they are incapable of doing their job... it's clear this company is cutting costs at every possible opportunity and it shows. They are impossible to get ahold of. Anytime you call and can speak to a person they cannot find any information. Every time we call they have told us a different name or email is on the account. They have no records of our transactions and we are still unable to set up an online account to pay online, as the account number we were given is not enough characters. Sunnova never completed the install for my solar system. I provide Sunnova with a breach of contract notice and termination notice over 3 years ago. I thought it was over. Sunnova went bankrupt and sold their contracts to Sunstrong. I was somehow included in this sale. I have provided Sunstrong with the evidence that Sunnova never completed my install, I terminated the contract for non performance, yet Sunstrong continues to harass me for payment and has reported me to the credit bureaus. When I have emailed them regarding the situation, Sunstrong has decided to ignore me for over 2 months now. I've also requested a debt validation notice which they refuse to provide. Impossible to speak with any upper management, or any other department for assistance. more than a year trying to get my panels fixed. They sent micro inverters in the mail. Finally they came out just for them to say there's bees underneath the panels, that I would have to get them professionally removed. They didn't even want to see the package. I went on my roof just to fine 2 wraps. 2nd visit they sent one guys to troubleshoot the panels. He looked at the box and said these are what needed to be replaced. but since they sent only one guy he needed help. 3rd visit the same two tech came back. As 1 went up the other called his boss to say this was an all day job. He got the answer of you guys can get it done in 4 hours. Again he went up for a couple of minutes and again had the same excuse of bees underneath the panels and vent. Recorded the vent and panels with nothing. no bees, or wraps. There is a total lack of service and breach of maintenance terms by Sunstrong. My system is showing an issue with a microinverter, and three panels are not working. Despite multiple communications, the company has failed to schedule a technician. Instead they keep emailing me to tell me my system is producing even though it is not producing to capacity. I would know, as I have had this system for almost three years. Because Sunstrong controls the system infrastructure/lease agreement, they are contractually obligated to maintain this equipment. I will update this review if Sunstrong contacts me with a concrete date for a certified technician to visit my home and review the system. Sunstrong has a very poor stystem in place for home purchasers that are purchasing homes that have their managed solar systems in order to get the account put in their name from the seller. In one phone call (phillipines) i was given two different numbers and was told that I was internally transferred to the wrong department. The account was paid in full and a month later, still cannot get a receipt to show it, just the cancelled check. Need to get a good lawyer and take them to Court! read more

This company is TERRIBLE!! SunStrong Management has somehow managed to make an already frustrating situation worse than it was under Sunnova. When they assumed these accounts, there was absolutely no sense of urgency about servicing them. Five months later, it still feels like they haven't even gotten started. Communication has been practically nonexistent. Customers were given little to no explanation about the transition process, the timing, or what to expect. Every time I log into the portal or call the support line, it feels like the system is designed to avoid answering basic questions rather than provide real help. Customer support has been particularly disappointing. Out of the five representatives I've spoken with, four had either very heavy accents or minimal English proficiency, making it extremely difficult to communicate or get clear answers. Even when I do manage to get through to someone, they rarely seem able - or willing - to actually address the issue. Today I was told that SunStrong is still working on uploading the information they received from Sunnova into their system. They said they started this process back in November. Here we are five months later, and they can't even provide an ETA for when it will be finished. Meanwhile, customers like me are losing out on renewable energy credits for power we're sending to the program because SunStrong can't get its systems in order. The lack of transparency, urgency, and competent support is unacceptable. If this is how they plan to handle inherited accounts, it doesn't inspire much confidence in their ability to manage anything effectively. Sunstrong took over my Sunnova account, which was on autopsy for years. After the initial notification of this months ago, I called them to set up autopay. Apparently, after doing this, there was an error by the rather inarticulate CSR on the phone. I then started getting daily collection calls from robocallers asking ME to call back and spend time negotiating their phone tree. Then, I got someone on the line, explained the situation and again, set up autopsy. Got an email proving it. The next day, collections calls resumed. Again, I spoke with another CSR who explained the autopay had been set up but I owed for the month before (God forbid they credit the month for the inconvenience). I paid. The next month... the SAME thing happened again. I CALLED, RESETUP MY AUTOPAY. Guess what, getting daily collection calls again. Would you trust this company with your financial information? Contacted the CEO via LinkedIn (being a journalist and compliance officer myself), and got NO REPLY. Getting daily collection calls still, despite having three rounds of emails showing I am enrolled in autopay. This feels like a scam and I am strongly considering the involvement of my state AG as I can't be the only one here in Sunnova's operating area being harassed by Sunstrong. read more

I contacted support to get access to a failed device that a solar repair company wants to check out. The reply was from someone whose reading comprehension skills are below average, who told me they do not offer support, and who advised me to take actions I had already taken. As for monitoring, I prepaid for a year for an application that tells me my batteries are 100% charged, when in fact they are dead. The dead batteries are the reason I hired a company in the first place. Support did not address my monitoring application issue or offer to forward my message to the correct department, assuming there is one. Despite my simple request for access to an essential component of a broken system, and my being a monitoring subscriber in good standing, SunStrong is ignoring me. I am a customer of SunStrong via acquisition of Trinity. We are in need of immediate assistance in the transfer of our lease. We have been ignored, misinformed and unable to make contact with a human being from October until today. We submitted a request to transfer the lease to no avail, follow up or acknowledgement. We received a confirmation and a timeline to pay for the transfer, but no way to pay. Do they not have someone to reach out to confirm or provide a way to pay? After at least 40 (FORTY) calls later, we got on the phone with someone who is not trained, helpful, nor able to provide us with a supervisor. Yet we can hear a ton of chatter in the background. How is this acceptable? We are closing on our home next week and this has been a problem for MONTHS. We have done everything but show up on their doorstep. Pissed off customer here from Sunnova. So based on the reviews here, looks like new management but same BS. Anyways I have repairs waiting for over a year and still no movement. I want so much to give new management a chance, in good faith, but so far it does not look like anything has changed. Somebody else mentioned "has anybody contacted an attorney"? I am not sure if there is an arbitration clause in the contract agreements but seeking legal reparations is definitely something that should be looked into. Sunstrong has not provided a signed contract between my account and Sunstrong because there is none yet still will not try to provide anything along these lones. Sunstrong has a poor online platform that originally was charging accounts trilions of dollars while asking for banking information. Sunstrong has not responded to 1 request for contact (5 since november). I feel that there is a natural assumption from Sunstrong that former Sunnova customers will just pay bills unquestioningly and that is not the case.
