OG Sugarcane Spot Still Hits Different…read more This spot has been the OG go-to for sugarcane drinks for as long as I can remember. Small is $7, large is $8, and no ice is around $14. I still remember when these drinks used to be about $5... but let's be honest, that was a whole lifetime ago at this point lol. Even with all the newer sugarcane spots popping up with coconut water twists and fancy add-ons, nothing really compares to a classic, straight-up sugarcane juice. No extras needed--just pure, fresh sweetness the way it's supposed to be. Haven't been here in a few years, so I'm actually glad to be back. Plenty of parking right in front, and while the shop also carries a lot of Chinese herbs and remedies, don't get distracted--come for the sugarcane. Simple, nostalgic, and still hits every time. Happy sips

They juice by the order. They speak English, Vietnamese and Canto! Parking in lot is either a ton of parking or you may need to wait for one but, it's not too bad. Nothing in between, there are lunch and dinner rushes for the restaurants in the shared plaza. Soo good on a hot day or just an after lunch sweet! Wished they stayed open later in the evening.. for an after dinner sweet.

I usually place an order through their Instagram DMs a few weeks in advance for holidays. You can ask for their excel spreadsheet and they'll send it to you with prices and this same spreadsheet updates every year! There is also a little deposit for holiday pick up depending on the size of your order. Their sashimi platter is beautiful, fresh, delicious, and always a party favorite. I usually get: Salmon, Toro, Yellowtail, Scallops, and Oysters. If available, uni trays and fresh wasabi (which can also be picked up at HMart). Scallops are my favorite but every piece of fish is so good and cut perfectly. Parking and pick up is easy. It is a very small store front with one party inside at a time and pay at the counter. Highly recommend for party platters for fresh sashimi.

They have so many different options, including rice dishes, sauces, fried chips, snacks, and Indonesian drinks. I actually think some of their dishes taste a lot better than some of the Indonesian restaurants we've tried in SoCal. Everything is always freshly made, and the flavors really remind me of home. My friends and I usually get the banana-wrapped rice with beef rendang or the chicken version. We also tried the nasi kucing with octopus, and it was really good! The only downside I'd say about the rice plates is that I wish they gave more meat and less rice, especially with the larger wrapped ones. The prices definitely aren't cheap for these meals, but the food does taste good. We also tried their fried banana topped with cheese and Ceres, and it was chef's kiss. It was so good that I regret not getting more! This is a place we always used to visit when we lived in SoCal, and we still make a point to stop by whenever we're visiting down there now that we've moved to the Bay Area. There are still so many other dishes from this place that I haven't tried yet, but I definitely will the next time I visit! Parking is first come first serve and it's free. Sometimes during the weekend, it gets packed. There are limited outdoor seatings in front of the shop and no indoor seatings. They have microwave inside for you to heat the food and water as well. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're ever in the area. If you're craving authentic Indonesian flavors that remind you of home, this is definitely worth a visit.

I ordered the Nasi Padang Complete ($24), which included white rice, chicken curry, beef rendang, a spicy boiled egg, green chili with stinky beans, cabbage, and long beans in curry sauce. The flavors were authentically Indonesian and delicious. I especially enjoyed the cabbage and the beef rendang. The chicken leg was flavorful, though I felt it was a bit light on meat. Overall, it was a solid, filling meal that I would order again. My only critiques are that the portion was very rice-heavy and the price was a bit steep, especially with delivery fees. I'm looking forward to visiting in person soon to experience the shop firsthand!
