Washers and dryers were never something I drove to use and to take my lack of laundrymat experience a step further, I've only stepped inside one, once, to drop off and do a pay by the pound program, they do such a fabulous job! I was dating someone in SC who went every Sunday - she'd roll the handle less cart, lift and stuff and it all seemed like a lot of work to me. The only fun for me was playing with the push/pull detergent machine handles. All sturdy and sterile looking, they've got big ones and bigger ones - all front loaders , my Maytag loaded from the top which still seems more logical than the middle - like R2D2 standing next to R2D3, similar but definitely different. I always liked the TIDE NASCAR car (2nd only to the M&Ms car) zip around the tracks in Houston Astros orange, so I dropped 4 quarters in that slot- thinking about the science of hampering. Although the internet here is fast enough, that stale fabric softener oderiferus emination is slight but unpleasant to my nose, so I tend not to stick around and watch my pants really roll. The quarters machine is always working -i hear that's an issue elsewhere, just hold the cup steady and pretend you hit Cherry Cherry Cherry on the one armed bandit as the avalanche of coins go "jingle jangle jingle" as they fall perfectly fitting your Dixie paper cup - if only they had a Missile Command or Robotron machine.. I'm also always consumed by the idea of pouring a excessive amount of detergent into the machine, set the controls to HOT and HIGH and let'er Rip. Fill the Lighthouse with bubbles to the ceiling, flicker the light switch (put the needle on the record) juggle the bubbles and spin within them like a spinny top. read more

I've been going to this particular laundromat for almost a decade and never had a problem with getting help or a refund if needed. But the newer owners are rude and not in a rush to help their customers. I had issues with a dryer not drying my stuff, so I left my name and number. The owner calls me the next day and proceeds to tell me " well I haven't had any problems with that dryer today, you must have overloaded it "...I kept telling her I did no such thing but she refused to listen to me so I hung up on her. I contacted Payrange and they were barely any help at all, instead of giving me back what I'm owed they only gave me half back...such BS! Will not be going there again! We stopped in last week to wash our king size comforter, and this one is big and fluffy. Not being a regular laundromat guy I asked Ed the attendent which machine to use. He was extremly nice and pointed us to the super size washer, which we used and then used the big new dryer which is really nice because during the dry cycle it reverses direction and if your not back right when the dryer is finished it goes into fluff mode every 3 minutes. Pretty cool. We would strongly recommend this laundromat because it is spotless and clean with great modern machines , not to mention the very nice help we got from Ed. read more

We were visiting the area and after two weeks in the car and I decided to find somewhere on Yelp to do laundry. This business was very close to our hotel so armed with quarters we stopped in. The sign said you could drop off so I asked and the helpful girl at the desk gave me a very reasonable price and asked lots of info about soap choices etc. Two locals picked up neatly bagged laundry while I was there so I asked her to just do ours. I am fussy and they were done perfectly and gift bagged like a Baby Shower gift! We got to spend the day eating lobster roll in Portland she texted when the laundry was done and held it until we got back! I got a whole additional day on our vacation for 20.00! read more

I was opening my car door to unload two weeks worth of laundry in the pouring rain when the attendant came out with a laundry cart to assist me. I have never received this kind of customer service at any laundry mat before. Inside the laundry mat there is a movie playing and a seating area for customers waiting. The business is impeccably clean with very thorough instructions and signs. As I was looking for somewhere to throw away my plastic detergent bottle the attendant pointed me towards the front area where they recycle plastic containers. I also used a recycling box for my cardboard detergent box. The customer service is above and beyond at this laundry mat. I have never used such a clean, thorough, eco friendly, and friendly laundry mat until now. I am very pleased and will be returning to do my laundry here every Tuesday! read more

This is the third laundromat that I have used within the Brunswick area. I have to admit that this is the most expensive and I am disappointed. I chose to try this one out since there was " free Wifi" however, I cannot access "free Wifi" and there is no one working. The prices are VERY expensive and I feel like there was false advertising about the Wifi. If you need to wash your sheets or clothes in hot water, the price of the washing machine increases too. My one positive feedback is that the facility is clean. Comparisons: All places have coin machines to convert cash into coins. I went to C & D Laundry in Topsham, Sunshine Center in Brunswick, and now this one (Sunshine Too) in Brunswick. C & D Laundry was BY FAR the cheapest (2.50 a load for small washers and 25 cents per 6 or 8 minutes of dry time. This laundromat is right next door to Hannaford too. The downfall to C & D was that there was no WiFi. Because of this reason, I explored the laundromats in Brunswick. Sunshine Center was clean and the Wifi was great. The cheapest load was 4.00 and dryers were the same price as C & D. Downside was that there were no places to hang clothes. I hope this information is helpful. If you want cheap.. C & D. read more

Best laundromat around, and we did try them all! Without laundry for a few months and glad we tried this one out. It looks small from the outside, but there are plenty of machines and options. I especially love the large 50 lb. dryers that reverse direction every so often. The owner Ed is very helpful! He recommended a larger machine instead of using 2-3 small ones and that has saved us a ton of money over the weeks! The biggest attribute that makes Sunshine Too stand out above the rest is the CLEANLINESS!!! It is soooo clean and I never wince when a piece of clothing falls to the floor out of the dryer. Lol! The male attendant is extremely rude and down right hostile. I hadn't even been given the opportunity to gauge whether or not my laundry would fit in the machine I chose before this jerk started barking over my shoulder that my laundry wouldn't fit and I needed to use a different machine. I have never felt so embarrassed in my life. I took my laundry to a different facility. This dude needs a reality check. You run a laundry mat, not an internment camp. Go somewhere else. Having no laundry at home due to brackish well water, I am grateful to have found Sunshine Too years ago. Now, in the midst of the Coronavirus, I am even more grateful to have a clean laundromat in which to do my laundry. No one is shaking their laundry out or staying to fold. It is open 24 hours per day so chances are you will be going in and out on your own. If you see another customer, they are respectful and are disinfecting as they come and go making sure to keep an appropriate distance from each other. Keeping things safe, clean and healthy for the next customer. Highly recommend. My big hope is that it will stay open as we navigate this uncertain time. In two separate occasions now the slob manager acted extremely rude, unprompted and completely without regard for the customer, I had my 80 year old mother, who is handicapped btw with me both times so I had to contain myself... I guarantee this wouldn't have happened if it was just me. I have never, ever been spoken to like that by an owner of ANY company in my entire life. This laundromat is the best. It looks small and quaint from the outside. Yet when you come inside you'll find state-of-the art machines everywhere. There is an ATM to get cash and plenty of change machines to get quarters. The place is spotless inside. There are very helpful signs that instruct you on how to operate machines. The free WI-FI and television makes the time go by fast. What's best is that everyone here is extremely helpful and nice. The place is open 24 hours seven days a week with attended hours from 8:00am-noon and 4:00pm-7:00pm. read more

I do not recommend this place one bit. The curmudgeonly gentlemen running the place felt the need to go out into the parking lot to call my roommate and myself back inside where he then proceeded to chastise us for using the cheaper washers. He claimed he didn t have a problem , but clearly he did. Ever since that day, he constantly breathes down our neck and stares at us. When my roommate went back inside to retrieve her keys, she noticed him leaving the spot we put our laundry in. TO me that makes your opinion on anything useless. You sound more like a very unhappy person who should probably be looking at your actions when visit businesses. When you have so many unhappy interactions with places....I begin to think you are the problem. As for Sunshine Too.....they may not be guiltless (I wasn't there) but probably fine if you don't return. I have been many times over the years, I have had nor heard of an experience you describe. This is the cleanest Laundromat I have ever been in, and talking to other customers some are traveling 25-30 miles to use this particular Laundromat, passing many others on the way. I have been ocassionally doing my laundry here for 5 years and never had any problems until today. I started taking my clothes out of the washer and realized that three items had big tears and were shredded. I showed the man attending the laundromat and asked him to reimburse me for the clothing. He says "I need to see the items and the damage. I also need to see the tags and then see what settings the washer was on." So he looks at the tears on a shirt, looks at the tag and then asks what setting the washer was on. I said warm and he says because the tag says to wash in cold water he can not reimburse me! I said " This has nothing to do with the temperature of the water. I have washed these clothes like this many times and never had a problem. This clearly happened from the clothes being snagged in machine." He says no the machine did not do the damage. I asked him "So your saying the water did the damage? Water tore my clothes all up??" He says well it's definitely not the machine! Do not go here!!! What a prick! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
