Each time I visit my family in Texas, we visit several antique stores. There isn't a whole lot to…read moredo in the small town of Silsbee so it has become a favorite pastime for my family. Having lost a child, I love to look for angels! I hit the jackpot when I visited Neches Belle! Not only did I find angels galore, I also found lots of militaria! My family is proud of their service as we cover every branch with the exception of Spaceforce! The store is well-stocked, well-Organized, & well-staffed! Never did I think I'd enjoy antiquing but it has definitely become a fun family activity, especially in other states while vacationing.

From the owner: Our small town of Silsbee is known as the commercial center of Hardin County. It's bordered by the…read moreNeches River, which in the past was a ferrying point for people and goods. The Neches Belle was designed in the late 1800s to be the most elegant steamboat on the river. Seasonally, it transported commodities or provided pleasant excursion memories for folks throughout Southeast Texas. Just 1.5 miles from that river, our mall and market honors history through our name and the antiques we sell. Even our remodeled space was once a feed store. Now it holds a curated selection of antiques, vintage, primitives, mid-century pieces, and collectibles. The furniture, home decor, glassware, art, and other goods all tell stories of bygone eras. Proprietors Dean and Gale Robinson have decades of experience collecting and selling antiques & collectibles. They are experts at preserving the best of the best and are passionate about passing on their finds to those who'll enjoy them for years to come.

They specialize mainly in clothing, babies, children, men & women's as well as shoes, formals, handbags, toys, and baby equipment/necessities. This is a consignment store, so the inventory is constantly changing and fresh. I dropped off two full bags and only got a few dollars back, so for sellers -- might not be the best for profit unless you're just wanting to make a little bit off unwanted clothing but as a buyer, I LOVE THIS PLACE. Items that don't sale quickly, get moved to the "porch sale" where I've scored new with tag items for less than a dollar! Inside, I've found boutique and brand name clothing, such as Matilda Jane, for $5.99 & Miss Me Jeans for $15-$20 -- you can't find that anywhere else!! The big bonus? Moms listen up... they have a PLAY AREA for the kids in a back corner of the shop filled with toys. SO your kiddo can be pre-occupied playing while still in hearing/seeing range while your shop! Doesn't get much better than that!

If you love Antiques, collectibles and Junktiques, this is a great place to stop when passing…read morethrough Beaumont. Right off IH10EB at Calder Ave, 1/2 block east of the interstate. Very easy to find. It has room after room after room of items and even an upstairs with multiple rooms. If you are looking for anything old, start here 1st. If you are someone who works in movie set designs ( I know it's a speciality job), you might find something you don't have to add to your own inventory. Just so you know, I don't know the owners and I don't work for this place and no family members or friends work for this place. I just happened upon it today and was blown away at how much they had on hand and I did buy something. This is just a review to help all those that like to look for old treasures and need a short break and want to find a bargain and might not know this place exist right off IH-10. Beaumont is a good place to stop before reaching Houston WB or to stop before you exit the state EB heading to Baton Rouge. - [ ] P.S. Travel Tip. For cheap gas, (like 20 cents a gal cheaper than on the interstate), take the College St exit for US 90, go West bound on US 90 for about 2 miles and you will reach the intersection with FM 364, and you will see a Speedy Stop station on the left, many pumps, clean rest rooms and food. If you are heading West to Houston you can a left at the light at FM 364 and it will bring you back to IH -10. If you are heading East to Baton Rouge, you just head back in the direct you came from to catch IH-10 EB. Safety note: if you are heading to Houston, I always take US 90 west from here because the interstate between Beaumont and Winnie is Notorious for highway accidents because of the construction going on and the poor signing for traffic control TxDOT and the construction company continues to allow to exist. Their solution is to keep lowering the speed limit instead of fixing the signing and to warning drivers further in advance for lane shifts and other changes not expected by normal drivers. AVOID IH-10 WB to Houston by taking US 90 West where it will merge with IH-10 at the Loop 610 in Houston. Drive safe. Sorry for getting off topic. This Antique shop is a great place to stop, Safe Travels.
