I brought my 13 year old in to look at shoes and while trying them in, the plastic tag cut his finger open. The shoe sales lady sent him to customer service to get a bandaid. The lady at customer service said she didn't know where they were and flat out told him to go find a napkin for the blood--RUDE!!! The manager was somewhat apologetic and brought him water and alcohol to clean it and a bandaid....after waiting so long the blood had already dried! And then the wait to checkout was RIDICULOUS!!

A potential customer asked for the number to their corporate office after an employee tried to sell a pair of shoes far above the retail price while on the clock. That same employee went into another retail store for a confrontation with the person(s) who asked for CHAMPS corporate number while accompanied by his girlfriend. The CHAMPS employee then assaulted a young lady while in uniform and still on duty. I entered this CHAMPS location to question the employee about the assault. He was dismissive and lacked remorse. I asked the manager on duty, Nathan, for the contact Information for the regional and district managers. He neglected to give me the info I asked for. The other CHAMPS employee brandished a weapon and his it in the store once police were called. The store employees claimed that their cameras did not work. The manager also requested that the police issue a trespassing warning to someone who never entered the store. CHAMPS and their employees should be held accountable and I wish to speak with someone with professional and integrity to come to a resolution.

The decision to enter this store was both the best and worst decision of my life - the best being that I found one of my new favorite stores to shop in. The worst being that I will end up going broke! I have an obsession with flowy sheer (polyester) tops and this place has plenty selection and from what I've heard, recieve new stock & styles often. I walked out with two dress tops and a pair of brand name jeans for $84. According to their site, Yellow Box, Miss Me, LA Idol, Grazie, Katydid, Save The Ta-tas, & Jimmy Crystal are just a few of the brands they carry. Sizes run 7-16 for girls & 0-21 (S-3x) for women - you don't have to be stick thin to shop here, they had many plus size options. Oh, and they ship clothing as well (check out their fb page). In addition to the super cute trendy clothing, they have tons of accessories!! I'm talking hair bows, sunglasses, candles, personalized jewelry, 3d fiber lashes, spirit items (ya know like the bling bling shirts all sport's moms wear), & scarves out the ying yang (out the ying yang... is that even a phrase? Starting to see how a girl could go absolutely broke in this place?!) As with any boutique, some of the items are a pretty penny but each of the shirts I purchased were $22, which is about average for a dress shirt nowadays. The dressing rooms are uber tiny, awkwardly lit with a standing lamp, have no hanging racks but a small stool and curtains that you'll bump into while attempting to keep your balance when changing clothing but I gotta give the place kudos as they are working with very limited space and seem to have done what they could with the space provided. Speaking of limited space, the inside of the store is pretty small - baby strollers and other large items are not allowed inside. Something to bear in mind if you have little ones in tow. While trying to check out, she was harassed by staff who yelled across the store that they all needed to disinfect because a nurse was trying to check out. It's almost impossible for me to believe that Academy would be so unfeeling to those who are putting themselves at risk to take care of others, but here we are. I will NEVER patronize this store chain ever again, unless a public apology is made in behalf of my friend.
