Every day chores became 3x harder because the slightest bit of movement caused shooting pain from my lower back down to the back of my right leg. I couldn't even lift my then one year old child without hurting myself. It felt like I had a spine of an 80 year old, at only 22. I saw various specialists and underwent different procedures but nothing helped to improve my back until physical therapy. From day one at this facility, Dale was attentive to my needs and was always encouraging me. I really liked that she challenged me every session and believed in my abilities when I didn't. She is very knowledgeable and helped me in finding ways to improve my posture, movement, sleep position, and home workout. She is also very knowledgeable of the equipments, especially the reformer, which helped me a ton with gaining my strength back. I made a full recovery and now living pain free for almost 2 years. I'm so thankful to Dale for not just giving me my life back, but also for building up my confidence in myself.

One drawback is that it is extremely difficult to make appointments with one's regular therapist. At…read morethree weeks post wire removal, I still had pain, swelling, and stiffness, but every concern I shared was brushed off with "it looks fine to me." Despite visible joint issues and weakness in my hand, I received more care from my own home routine than in therapy. I've since switched to a new private therapist who took me seriously from the first conversation--and my recovery has improved dramatically. If something feels off, trust that. Your healing deserves attention, not dismissal.

The initial therapists were very helpful in my progression, however, following a racial incident…read morethat caused me to be late and cost me $40, it seemed like they stopped giving a crap about professional professionalism after that. The front desk staff were very short and dismissive. To top it off, I bring in my service animal, not only a certified service animal through his previous handler but also I have my own service paperwork from my own doctors I got in April so he's 100000% a service animal. Always has been always will be. I bring him in once he does OK. the second time, I make a PUBLIC observation about how I see his behavior helping my physical therapy recovery, and--I acknowledge with both myself and out loud to the therapist--that I am not interested in having him be there while I'm there because I saw it as a distraction to myself. Additionally, before the session even started, the therapist had previously asked if he was a service animal and I had said he's absolutely a service animal. Following that observation, as I left that appointment, I also said in agreement one more time--"this is the last time that you guys will be seeing him. I think that this is my time for myself." So then a day or two later, my tooth is gone. I'm at the dentist office in the middle of an emergency dental surgery and this inane manager calls me and once again reiterates-- not only what you had already instructed the therapist to tell me at the beginning of the session that happened the days before, but also to reiterate, that he's not a service animal and that he should not be at the facility. & at this point it's flown past like a potential misunderstanding and it's just professionalism. You're an unprofessional institution. You are very aware of the communication that you have with your clients and you also are aware of what age you and I both are. I'm not a child and you are not my parent. if we have already agreed to something it is just that. So for you to call me in the middle of an emergency, and reiterate a point as though I'm a petulant child...you're unprofessional and just not a safe space for people to recover safely. I think that people who are in the business of physical recovery should be interested in promoting a safe space of uplifting energy, and frankly vulnerability and hope, and you're not safe. You don't feel safe. You don't feel like a place of anything other than judgment and like dismissiveness. To top it off as I'm ending my relationship with this location and trying to transfer to another location, the manager starts asking me questions regarding information that I've only ever told my therapist! It's insanely invasive and it's insanely disrespectful because you've now thrown back the information that I've said in safety to the person that's helping me in recover as a way to start a conversation aka trying to backtrack and mend the relationship. Ha! we're past that now. I have no interest in recommending this facility to anybody. I honestly think that you should do your due diligence and research before coming to this institution, particularly this location. I think that this should be a lesson to their facility as a whole in professionalism. Professionalism is not a choice. It is the business that you are in and you are in a very specific spot where vulnerability is non negotiable. You have power over people that are in their lowest moments and depending on you for safety, so you should probably think about that the next time this location is advertises that it is professional and supportive, because you're not.

Then, I was told that I would be charged $40 if I didn't cancel the day before. I recently lost my job and had to change insurance. I had to call and cancel my appointment a couple of weeks ago because I was in between insurance. I called the day before and I was told that the appointment would be cancelled without an issue. Then I got hit with a $40 fee. I called to ask why I was charged when I cancelled the day before. I was told that I had called just a few minutes less than 24 hours, so I was charged. When I told them that I was not told that was the case when I called to cancel and the person pretended like it was fine, I was told that there's nothing they can do about it. So, I cancelled all my appointments with them and stopped going. I'm going to go with a much better PT place in town and there are a lot of them. As customers, we have choices. I do not recommend this place at all.

SPARK Physiotherapy saved my life! Last April I couldn't stand up due to terrible back spasms…read more At the emergency room I was given a strong pill "cocktail " and a referral to a neurosurgeon. I was desparate. What to do now?!! And then a friend recommended SPARK. I showed up with tears running down my eyes, my crooked frame and with little hope. After some tests Dr. Kristen diagnosed the issue and after a dry needling session I walked out of there like a human- with my back straight. After the second session my life was back to normal. Hallelujah. A true miracle in my book. I am forever grateful. I highly recommend SPARK Physiotherapy to everyone with any pain. All of the therapists are top notch and extremely knowledgeable. Do it- trust me on this one.

I tried…read moreto go to another PT place near my house (Solutions Physical Therapy) because the insurance seemed easier to manage, but it was a huge mistake. After three sessions there to try to treat a shoulder/neck injury, I had not been given any dry needling that I asked for and felt that I was simply being rushed, as my therapist was always trying to move to his next appointment. In one hour with Matt, he found muscles in my shoulder that I didn't even realize were causing me problems and he FIXED THEM. It was literally amazing. By the end of the hour, I had already restored almost the full range of motion of my neck and head. It felt like 3 hours, but it was just an hour to diagnose, treat, and to give me stretches to do at home to prevent soreness. Worth every penny.

I saw Cindy for what I thought was IT band syndrome but turned out to be another problem involving…read moremy hamstring tendon. Every appointment you have with Cindy is one-on-one - she offers you her full, undivided attention. She does a lot of manual therapy and also uses the one electric machine that stings you a bit and then the cold laser where you have to wear the glasses. For exercises, she would show me how to do them in her office and then have me do them on my own at home, so as not to waste time in her office. Unfortunately, because she was treating me for a problem that ultimately had to be resolved through surgery, I can't speak to how successful her techniques were. All I can say is that she was very friendly and it was nice to find a PT who meets only with you during your appointment, not you and three other patients. The only downside is that she does not accept any insurance. I had to submit claims on my own, which was a major pain and ultimately ended up costing me a lot of money. For this reason, it's just not practical for me to go back to Cindy if I need PT in the future.

Cindy is the physical therapists' physical therapist. My wife, a PT, got the recommendation from…read moreanother PT. My first visit was for mid-back pain, brought on by overdoing a thoracic spine-mobilizing exercise. She pointed out that one hip bone was lower than the other, and that she would take care of it. After 20 minutes of heat, she and her assistant went to work. I couldn't follow what the four hands were doing, but it worked. I was sore the next day, but fine thereafter. The next couple of trips, a year later, were for a sore rotator cuff. She pointed out that the ribs on one side were lower than on the other side. Fixing that involved heat, ultrasound, laser and some pretty painful poking and pulling. Again, sore the next day and much better after that. I was careful to watch my posture after that, so much so that I triggered a muscle imbalance with pain in both shoulders by correcting my slouch. Cindy's treatments and prescribed exercises have been a big help. If you can come in on short notice, ask if you can fill in for a cancelled appointment. Otherwise, expect to wait at least a week.
