Every therapist has been effective, some areas are taking more work. I'm writing today regarding the superb post-right shoulder replacement PT. My therapist is Libby Sudhoff, she is more physical than most, and will work at any discomfort to mitigate the pain. I've had 12 sessions with her and only a few more before she goes on to her next traveling PT assignment. I'm very grateful for the progress and reclaimed flexibility her work has done for me.

From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed into a clean, comfortable, and supportive environment with a genuinely caring team. Andy and Danny are incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate. They truly listen--something that means so much when you're dealing with chronic pain and multiple health challenges. I've been treated for back and neck stenosis, knee issues from a torn meniscus, and ongoing pain, and they have been patient, thoughtful, and determined every step of the way. My PT sessions alternated between Maggie and Kris twice a week until late May, when my visits tapered off to once a week until completion of my therapy in mid- to late-June. Both Maggie and Kris are consummate professionals, friendly and engaging but also acutely aware of what I could (and couldn't do) at the various stages of my recovery. Without their help, I would not have recovered as quickly - and as strongly - as I did. They were very knowledgeable, while still being careful, about expanding my ankle's range of motion and building its strength, which in turn gave me more confidence in the progress of my recovery. Because of their prudent treatment and careful prodding, I was starting neighborhood walks by late March, resumed bike riding in early May, and started hitting golf balls again in mid-May. By the end of May, I was taking 25 mile bike rides and playing 18 holes of golf - well ahead of my anticipated recovery schedule. I'm very grateful for their treatment and professionalism, as well as for the work of the staff at Medstar PT Arlington. My treatment overlapped with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the protocols at Medstar were very solid. I would highly recommend their services to anyone in need of PT.

Despite my case being a bit of a head scratcher, Sydney, with Esteban's support, kept discussing and experimenting and not giving up on finding me relief. Which they have! I'm grateful that they didn't give up on me and were willing to dig in and figure it out. I would recommend The Physical Therapy Zone to anyone who needs PT services (and they have a laser and other new gadgets!). He and his staff are extremely motivated, professional and passionate in everything they do from receiving me, billing and more importantly targeted physical therapy and exercises focusing on my problem areas. Dr. Kwak provides reasonable goals and objectives, while providing the scientific explanation. I have improved remarkably in my core strength and flexibility since I started Fall 2019. I completely surprised myself the other day when I was able to exercise with no extra assistance in weights while conducting leg/core exercises. I couldn't have done it without Dr. Kwak. Ivy was the only place that would guarantee the availability of short-term daily PT as requested by my surgeon (and covered by insurance). I was extremely fortunate to have treatment by Gregory B., who provided skilled, patient, effective care (no handing off to exercise technicians). He paid attention, answered questions thoroughly, made suggestions for different approaches, and was very kind and patient. The staff are diligent about cleaning surfaces, and the receptionists are excellent at handling appointments and other requests. There is plenty of parking, which is comped by Ivy. In addition to "routine" PT, the practice also offers other helpful treatment, such as dry needling - which helped me almost immediately - and for Meniere disease (vertigo). The vibe is excellent, not too crowded nor too loud and everyone is friendly and helpful.

Every day chores became 3x harder because the slightest bit of movement caused shooting pain from my lower back down to the back of my right leg. I couldn't even lift my then one year old child without hurting myself. It felt like I had a spine of an 80 year old, at only 22. I saw various specialists and underwent different procedures but nothing helped to improve my back until physical therapy. From day one at this facility, Dale was attentive to my needs and was always encouraging me. I really liked that she challenged me every session and believed in my abilities when I didn't.
