Every therapist has been effective, some areas are taking more work. I'm writing today regarding the superb post-right shoulder replacement PT. My therapist is Libby Sudhoff, she is more physical than most, and will work at any discomfort to mitigate the pain. I've had 12 sessions with her and only a few more before she goes on to her next traveling PT assignment. I'm very grateful for the progress and reclaimed flexibility her work has done for me.

5-Star Review for Full Strength Physical Therapy (formerly Solutions PT), Arlington, Va…read more I can't say enough wonderful things about Full Strength Physical Therapy and especially Andy and Danny. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed into a clean, comfortable, and supportive environment with a genuinely caring team. Andy and Danny are incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate. They truly listen--something that means so much when you're dealing with chronic pain and multiple health challenges. I've been treated for back and neck stenosis, knee issues from a torn meniscus, and ongoing pain, and they have been patient, thoughtful, and determined every step of the way. What really stands out is how much they care about your progress. They take the time to tailor exercises specifically to your needs and clearly explain how to do them at home, which has made a huge difference in my recovery. Their combination of hands-on therapy and targeted exercises has helped improve my mobility, balance, and strength--and most importantly, reduced my pain so I can finally rest better. The entire staff is friendly, helpful, and incredibly professional. There's a strong sense that everyone is invested in helping you achieve your goals. Convenient location with easy parking is just the icing on the cake. I'm so grateful to have found them--this team has truly made a meaningful, life-changing impact on my quality of life. Highly recommend!

We were talking about what it's like to go to one of those in-network PT farms where a 22 year old is loosely overseeing your exercises while also attending to several other patients in a large open area that all feels slightly chaotic and, to be honest, just a little bit sus lol. Core Wellness is not that place. If you can afford it, just go here. They have highly experienced staff who give you dedicated, one on one attention for the full hour and they take a holistic approach to solving your issue -- really listening; asking good follow up questions each session and pivoting as needed; explaining what's going on at all times and how different issues might be connected; working on your muscles with different techniques instead of just giving you basic exercises to do by yourself that you could have found online; etc. I saw Kelly and she is one of those healthcare professionals you wish all providers were like. My husband saw her as well last year and felt the same. Anyway, 5 stars, no notes.

Every day chores became 3x harder because the slightest bit of movement caused shooting pain from my lower back down to the back of my right leg. I couldn't even lift my then one year old child without hurting myself. It felt like I had a spine of an 80 year old, at only 22. I saw various specialists and underwent different procedures but nothing helped to improve my back until physical therapy. From day one at this facility, Dale was attentive to my needs and was always encouraging me. I really liked that she challenged me every session and believed in my abilities when I didn't. She is very knowledgeable and helped me in finding ways to improve my posture, movement, sleep position, and home workout. She is also very knowledgeable of the equipments, especially the reformer, which helped me a ton with gaining my strength back. I made a full recovery and now living pain free for almost 2 years. I'm so thankful to Dale for not just giving me my life back, but also for building up my confidence in myself.

I went to the Anderson Clinic Physical Therapy office in Shirlington for shoulder pain and was…read moreexpertly treated by Lindsay Smart. Her treatment began with an interview that ranged from questions regarding the location, nature, and possible causes of the pain to a review of my daily habits and routine. She then asked me to move my arms in various ways and directions and to report when and where I felt pain. There followed a demonstration, using a physical model of the shoulder, of how the shoulder skeleton and muscles work, pointing out where the problem most probably originated and how it would most likely affect the muscles and nerves in my arms. Subsequently and over the course of several weeks with two appointments per week, she introduced a series of exercises and adjustments to my routine (with how-to print-outs of each) that have made a significant difference in how I feel and can move. I was particularly impressed by the fact that, although she has a long roster of patients, at every appointment she remembered the particulars of my specific condition, which resulted in a very personalized (not a one-size-fits-all) regimen. As an 80-year-old, my regular schedule of lap swimming is critical to my mobility, stability, and general physical (and mental!) well-being, and Lindsay has helped me optimize all those. She is an outstanding physical therapist!

Ivy was the only place that would guarantee the availability of short-term daily PT as requested by my surgeon (and covered by insurance). I was extremely fortunate to have treatment by Gregory B., who provided skilled, patient, effective care (no handing off to exercise technicians). He paid attention, answered questions thoroughly, made suggestions for different approaches, and was very kind and patient. The staff are diligent about cleaning surfaces, and the receptionists are excellent at handling appointments and other requests. There is plenty of parking, which is comped by Ivy. In addition to "routine" PT, the practice also offers other helpful treatment, such as dry needling - which helped me almost immediately - and for Meniere disease (vertigo). The vibe is excellent, not too crowded nor too loud and everyone is friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, the ortho was going to be booked out for more than a month!!! Very fortunately, I decided to start PT to hopefully get relief before my consult, now I'm almost 100% better in pain, range of motion from the manual therapy, exercises, and modified movements learned here. My therapist, Marco, is FANTASTIC!! He's so knowledgeable and takes his time. Also, he's a miracle worker!! I definitely felt like I had a new knee after the first visit and I am getting progressively better. Furthermore, they understand my goals of getting back to the gym and my normal fitness level and are progressing me toward that!! The front desk staff here is amazing - she was able to get me an appt within a few days of me calling. Also called me back ASAP on my insurance benefits. Super professional!!! After obtaining my referral from my doctor, I scheduled my initial appointment with ease online. However, there was a minor mistake of location since I thought I had signed up for this location specifically, but it ended up being at the one on Duke St. Thankfully, they were able to reschedule my appointment at the right location. I knew that I would be required to attend a handful of sessions, so it was important for me to find a place that closed later and really worked with my availability. Wendy works the front desk and she's great. She really helped working with my insurance when there was some minor complication regarding my last few sessions. Andrew was my PT and he been really awesome to work with, helping to improve my range of motion, as well as strengthening a few weak joints. He makes sure you're able to do the stretches and strengthening without overdoing it. And he even helps to alleviate any pain or discomfort you're feeling during the sessions, which I usually get done at the end. I really appreciate the laid back and comfortable environment at this PT location. The staff and interns working here are all helpful, friendly, and attentive. They are always cleaning/sanitizing between clients, so you know they care about the people they serve. I know I'll have to be back in the future (especially after a possible surgery), so I know I will receive great care when I'm here. I highly recommend!

I was assured that my insurance would cover the costs beyond my copayment, which turned out not to be true. At the conclusion of my therapy, I received one bill, then another two months later, that was 3 times higher than the first. I also would not recommend this place because the therapist who was assigned to me, while competent and caring, was a therapist in training, still needing to pass exams and not yet fully certified. I wasn't told this, and it wouldn't have matter to me except that I was billed (months after the therapy concluded) between $235 and $375 per session, which never lasted more than an hour and which is about 3 times as much as I would pay if I didn't have insurance and just walked into a PT practice. Those are crazy rates. Seems fraudulent to me, and definitely not worth $235 or $375. Way cheaper to hire your own personal therapist, or not use insurance when paying.
