We have Thousand Trails Membership with the Trails Collection Package which allows us to stay at Encore Parks. Just our opinion; all the parks in the system aren't " destination parks" but are parks that are a way to setup for a few days and venture out to see the city or surrounding area. Some do have great pools or amenities and some don't. This park does have a great pool and a great Putt Putt Golf area. It does have a nice walking area but we've noticed not too many are friendly. Only had maybe two people say hello. I really don't like all the VERY old mobile homes that look like they are getting ready to fall apart. They are scattered throughout the park. The only concern we had during our stay was the water pressure! Our site was H1 by the new renovated clubhouse. At night (thank goodness) around 8pm the water pressure was fine and around 40psi. From 8am to around 8pm while people are washing closets and taking showers in the clubhouse area our water pressure stayed at 20psi all day..... I even talked with our neighbors that were next to us along the clubhouse sites and they said they had the same issue and couldn't figure it out. Oh added note; on one of the nights for one hour the water psi jumped to 80psi and glad I caught it in time. I just happened to walk out to look at the pressure regulator and noticed it was showing 80psi. I had been messing with the settings all day trying to figure out why only 20psi. I guess I had it set wrong and when pressure jumped up the regulator didn't fix it properly... My fault! Honestly; that really needs looked into regarding the water pressure along those sites around the clubhouse at site H1 through H10.... read more

We stayed here the week of Thanksgiving and while we were at the back of the campgrounds between long term campers it really wasn't that bad. We were a little skeptical on getting our camper in the spot it worked out. The bathrooms were clean, the ladies at the front office were nice. We played on the putt putt course and enjoyed our stay. read more

Came down for a last minute weekend away. Checkin was efficient. There was an issue with our booking and the kind ladies working the office were so helpful in getting it cleared right up. Our site was clean and a pull through site with no trees overhanging. It was close the office which also had main bathrooms/showers attached. Bathrooms were deep cleaned daily. Pool was clean and pool deck had ample shade/chairs. Property had a fenced pet area, playground for kids, tennis courts, basketball court, volleyball court and grill. Property is right next to the big Harley dealership, restaurants ands bars. We were able to ride our motorcycle over Friday night for live music. Only complaint we had during our entire visit were the hateful old ladies who swim in the pool for an hour each morning. They made comments shaming my body intentionally loud enough for me to hear. Then went on about how they hated everyone who came to stay that weren't year round like them. They complained about the children playing who were very well mannered and not bothering anyone. They also talked shit about the staff and the facility itself. I don't understand people like this and honestly they're bad for business. Would stay again but would avoid them at all costs. read more

Sunshine Holiday Resort sounds so nice, but staying there is anything but a holiday. It's poorly run, hardly maintained at all, full of chuck holes (which turn into ponds in the rain). It's difficult to think of anything positive to say about the place. Would never recommend it. Encore, inc. should be ashamed of themselves for putting their name on such an inferior offering. It's a crap hole of a place. Don't go there unless you want to camp in shanty town. It's hard to give it even 1 star. read more

Before we camped here, I gave a good pre--review to this place based on the interaction on the phone I had before we camped here. Booked our reservation almost 9 months in advance and asked for full hook up. To make a long story not so short, we still had pleasant interaction with the ladies on our arrival last month --but no full hook-up. We were told there are "honey wagons" that dump twice a week, Totally inconvenient for us as seniors. We were told we would get a discount to our bill but that never happened. Then we were told staff was "working on" getting us a full hook-up. That never happened. Our mail was "misplaced" halfway through our stay, because I guess we had the "nerve" to knock on the front door at 12:30 PM Saturday when they are not supposed to close on Saturdays until 1 PM. The bald man upfront was noticeably aggravated that we asked for our mail, and we eventually had to go through our own post office to get our mail traced -- which finally got to us thank goodness --because we have medicine, tax documents and insurance documents. We asked several times for our mail during this interaction, by lot number, another man in the front office rudely said to us: "We don't HAVE your mail" but the lot number was clearly on our box of mail when we finally did get it. I don't understand what happened here but this mishandling of our mail was totally unacceptable. This place has no obvious provision for dog droppings, And we had dog-do on our property --we don't even own dogs. The neighbors beside us often did not clean up their dog-do and you could smell that. Disgusting in the Florida heat. Their posted speed limit of 10 miles an hour for drivers is a joke. People sped through the place at 20+ miles an hour and I almost got hit by a car when I was biking in the park . We wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and would never return. I don't give many bad reviews on Yelp, but I would give this a zero if I could. Checking out other reviews of this place shows I'm not alone in this opinion. read more

Our mini family reunion was nearly wrecked by the awful sites we were assigned at this "resort". There are two large circles of sites -front and back. We were assigned to the back circle which consists of permanently parked campers, run down trailers and a mixture of ramshackle and unkept "homes". Our site was backed up to the central a/c units of the "community hub" for the residents of the back circle. The site was grass and sand- no picnic table, littered with pistachio shells and cigarette butts. It was literally camping on the lawn of a community building. We were approached by one resident - twice- who was carrying a bottle of whisky asking us if we had gotten a Walmart delivery. The residents walked thru our site going to and from the hub. The bathrooms in the hub were pristine - if that's what's important to you for camping. That's the only nice thing about this place. Our site was advertised as a "standard" site and was assigned to us two days prior to arrival. Never again! read more

Please don't stay here. Just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I won't mention the million little things that went wrong, just the one big one. They had us park out back in the mud by the storage lot, but they had our friends park ON THE LAWN OF THE CLUBHOUSE. And plug into the building itself, lined up right along the sidewalk leading inside! They absolutely wouldn't allow anyone to change sites, even though the site right next door was empty. And then all the angry old people came and picked a fight with us for sitting in front of the camper because we were in their way! I think they considered it entertainment. Nobody deserves the stupid medal more than Sunshine Holiday Daytona. We left before our reservation was up because...well, it's obvious. Good for a laugh, but whoever is running this place obviously has a screw loose. read more

I have stayed here twice, first time we were in a mud hole, staff refused to move us. Smelled of raw sewage, well we found out way. Sewer dump was flooded behind us, and under water. When making the reservation, we always ask for a site with no trees over head due to a medical condition I suffer with. So, we again came back and per the reservation, same thing, no over head trees. Well this time they did not accommodate us, had a huge tree above us dropping all night on top of our coach. Add to it, park is almost EMPTY! Plenty of other spots open! Wife asked at check in, no help. And we're next to the prior stay mud hole. This time it's dry but grass all damaged from the Snow Birds and there make shift decks and mats. Laundry room is still a mess, it needs a much needed remodeling. Cob webs, dead bugs and dirty machines. The concrete pad we have is so cracked and uneven, twisted my ankle the second day, foot swollen, they really need to start fixing them before someone gets really hurt. And enlarge them all. They are old and small. Sad part is we love the location and the park has the capability to be a jewel! But unless your a local full timer here, your treated like a second class RVer. Only thing that would bring us back, is the area. read more

Never, ever stay at this location. The rates are outrageous, $130 a night and they tried to put us in a site that was a mud hole full of water. The entire park is in need of maintenance. The pads are cracked , the leaves are not picked up, & the entire park smells of sewage. We will never stay here again. The office staff is friendly but when I complained about the mud hole site, they wanted to downgrade us to a site with no sewage hookup which I would not accept. We were finally given an upgraded site, but reluctantly. Do yourself a favor and avoid this location. read more
