Today, Dr. Danielle and her assistant Emma were phenomenal. They were incredibly thorough, asked personalized questions about my son to tailor their approach, and worked quickly and efficiently. Emma also took the time to go through our paperwork carefully and correct anything unclear. I will absolutely be requesting this team for future visits. We were also told multiple times that certain appointments or repairs would be "no charge," yet the insurance company was still billed afterward. To make matters worse, we took my child to his primary dentist and were told that a filling this office had placed only a month earlier was already loose and about to fall out. The very next day, it did fall out. When I contacted the office, they made him an appointment knowing the filling was out but he was put in for an exam appointment only. I was then told that I would have to make another appointment to actually have the feeling replaced. I understand that dental work can sometimes need adjustments, but having multiple issues in such a short amount of time, combined with confusing and inconsistent billing practices, was extremely frustrating. I would encourage other parents to ask detailed questions about charges and carefully monitor any dental work completed here.

The Hygienist was friendly and helped me relax as a stressed out patient who does not like going to the dentist. I felt they made every effort to be thorough and not rush through things while ensuring that every detail was accounted for. I've had dentists that are obviously making stuff up like an untrustworthy auto shop trying to sell you stuff you don't need. I never felt that pressure here. I already have my next appointment set up and will go in with a lot less stress knowing I will be treated with respect for my time and concerns while taking good care of my dental needs.

There was no judgement on my overdue need for a cleaning and the ladies were so helpful with giving me info and recommendations for addressing some things I wanted to improve with my oral care (like hot and cold sensitivity or remineralization after pregnancy)! The office was clean, cute, and the staff were kind and professional. I was also able to get an eligibility screening complete for overseas living (hello military) and overall I had a great experience! You can tell that Dr. Egg went above and beyond to make her office a place that kids would love to be at. She has this amazing wall mural with zoo animals that was hand painted on the wall. The waiting room has fake grass and a play area for kiddos. She always has the tv playing the newest movies for the kids in the waiting room and there's complimentary coffee! ( for tired mamas lol) Over the past 10 years it has always been like this! In the back the set up is so cool. The kids lay on tables and they have their own movies playing on TVs that are mounted to the ceiling. My kids look forward to their dental trips because they are treated so nice. And when they are done they get to pick a treasure, a sticker, and a pencil. They also get a bag with their new tooth brush, tooth paste etc. Its unlike any dentist I ever went to as a child! I would like to make a comment regarding alleged racism that was made in another yelp review in regard to this Dr. Office. My family is of African American descent and this is the only dentist that my children have been to since they were born. Ten years doing business here and not once have I EVER experienced any racism here. Me and my children have only been treated with kindness from everyone. From the receptionist, to the dental hygienist, and Dr. Egg. I have NEVER left this doctor office with a bad experience. All staff has gone above and beyond to make our experience here great. As someone who was traumatized at a young age by my local pediatric dentist, I understand all too…read morewell the significance of having a dentist who goes above and beyond for children when it comes to something important, like teeth. We went to another family dentistry across town (they were also exceptional in treatment of my kids, I still go there for myself) but since they caught a cavity they sent us to White & Johnson, knowing they could handle my oldest kids anxiety. I am beyond grateful to have such an amazing staff to work with my kids. The layout is efficient, the teamwork that I have witnessed during our appointments is flawless , and bedside manner is second to none- they sing songs, talk to the kids throughout cleanings to explain what they're doing and reassure them, and are completely transparent about everything upfront with parents. The only crying my anxiety-prone child did was in the wilmington office, as they tried to get the gas mask on him (he ultimately had to have his cavity taken care of at the hospital under general anesthesia) but even having gone through that, he is not at all scared of coming back. THAT is how I know they're doing everything right. While we do spend a bit more money here than we did elsewhere, but it certainly shows in the quality of care our kids receive.
