We had a very disappointing experience with this dental office. Within a month and a half of…read moretreatment, my child's spacer came out twice. We were also told multiple times that certain appointments or repairs would be "no charge," yet the insurance company was still billed afterward. To make matters worse, we took my child to his primary dentist and were told that a filling this office had placed only a month earlier was already loose and about to fall out. The very next day, it did fall out. When I contacted the office, they made him an appointment knowing the filling was out but he was put in for an exam appointment only. I was then told that I would have to make another appointment to actually have the feeling replaced. I understand that dental work can sometimes need adjustments, but having multiple issues in such a short amount of time, combined with confusing and inconsistent billing practices, was extremely frustrating. I would encourage other parents to ask detailed questions about charges and carefully monitor any dental work completed here.

Our first appointment with…read moreDr. Conner was great -- he made my 16‑month‑old feel comfortable and answered all of my questions, which is why we chose to return. Today, Dr. Danielle and her assistant Emma were phenomenal. They were incredibly thorough, asked personalized questions about my son to tailor their approach, and worked quickly and efficiently. Emma also took the time to go through our paperwork carefully and correct anything unclear. I will absolutely be requesting this team for future visits. My 22‑month‑old left happy and completely unafraid of the dentist. Bonus points to Dr. Danielle for knowing the Duck Song!

The facility was clean and all the women behind the counter were professional and cordial. Upon calling my two kids back for X-rays and cleaning, I learned that I was not allowed to be with them while their procedures were getting done, however I could watch through the windows. At first I was extremely taken aback by this news, as this was never the case at their previous pediatric dentist, so it was a lot to handle in the moment. My immediate response was to ask for the office manager for more clarification. The OM did come out shortly thereafter and explained their policies to me, she also explained how this policy-no parents inside during treatments-was conveyed to whomever scheduled the initial appointment. (This was true and did happen-mom forgot to mention it to me initially) After hearing from the OM, I understood and had a more clear picture of why this policy was being utilized. Although different for me and my children, I 100 percent understood its purpose-I unfortunately was just opposed to it. The OM immediately sensed my discomfort and offered to have the head dentist come out and talk with us once she was free. This small act, was much appreciated and went a long way. After hearing from the dentist and then my children, after the appointment, my initial apprehensions were dismissed. Before we left, we scheduled two more appointments for them and placed their names on the short list in case anyone canceled. Luckily, we were informed yesterday that they would be able to come in for their procedures today, Thursday 17, which we did. Both of them had another great experience and so did I. Although, I am still unhappy and uneasy with this policy, I am extremely satisfied with how they went about handling it, especially the Office Manager. I appreciate all the women that we have encountered at Smile Starters, and would definitely recommend them. From the Receptionists to the Office Manager-to the Dental Assistants-to the Hygienists-to the Head Dentists-everyone who came in contact with, myself or my kids, was excellent! Thank you WD / SS.

His waiting room is very modern and beachy, when you go to the back he has a sky painted on the ceiling with positive music playing, colorful paintings on the wall with big windows that just open up the whole place. I highly recommend taking your child here, because it is so important as a parent to introduce your children to things like dentists and doctors in the best and most positive way possible so that they are not terrified for the rest of their lives. This dentist office will do exactly that for your child. I would give Dr. Skip and Dr. Stephanie 10/5 stars if I could.

The ER recommended Dr Tyson and Dr Stephanie and they got us in this morning at 11am. Barely anyone was in there (COVID times) but their waiting room was comfy and we were able to distance appropriately. We waited in rocking chairs (visiting from VA this was a nice southern touch), and didn't have to wait long until we were taken up to the office. They have perfect decor for children and the hygienist Crystal couldn't have been more comforting. She was with us the entire time, explaining everything and patiently answering questions. They were able to X-ray our daughter (with me holding her) and we all decided it was best to remove the tooth. They gave her some meds to chill her out (she just seemed drunk but no other side effects), and they took her back to the procedure room. They strapped her to a "papoose board" so she wouldn't flail around and we left the room. 10 minutes later they brought her back to us, still drugged up, but fine. They had us wait a while before we left to make sure she reacted ok. We couldn't have had a better experience with Dr Tyson, Crystal and the rest of the staff.

They even have a special waiting room area for children. I was asked by three different people if I wanted a drink of water or anything while I was waiting to be seen and honestly, I waited maybe 10 minutes, I was greeted with unbelievable friendliness by every single person in that office. The facility is fully modernized with updated technical equipment beyond my expectations. They took x-rays and pictures of my teeth gave me a cleaning that was so relaxing, and then I had a very amazing exam and conversation with the dr about my teeth and any work that needs to be done, ( I came in with a cracked tooth I knew I would need something ) I opted to get my teeth whitened ( it was something I knew I wanted to do before I went in) And they came out beautiful. I forgot to mention dental the chair vibrates like a massaging chair also has heat and they gave me headphones and they had a TV screen that I could watch Netflix. They treated me like I've been a patient there for 20 years. I felt so welcome and so comfortable. It is a must go to very professional dental facility. I am definitely going to be a regular patient there ... they also offer an in house dental plan for those that do not have dental insurance that includes two cleanings a year X-rays and fluoride and a discount on any other treatment I may need including Invisalign ( which is cosmetic ) but they still offer a discount
