Today, Dr. Danielle and her assistant Emma were phenomenal. They were incredibly thorough, asked personalized questions about my son to tailor their approach, and worked quickly and efficiently. Emma also took the time to go through our paperwork carefully and correct anything unclear. I will absolutely be requesting this team for future visits. The Hygienist was friendly and helped me relax as a stressed out patient who does not like going to the dentist. I felt they made every effort to be thorough and not rush through things while ensuring that every detail was accounted for. I've had dentists that are obviously making stuff up like an untrustworthy auto shop trying to sell you stuff you don't need. I never felt that pressure here. I already have my next appointment set up and will go in with a lot less stress knowing I will be treated with respect for my time and concerns while taking good care of my dental needs.

There was no judgement on my overdue need for a cleaning and the ladies were so helpful with giving me info and recommendations for addressing some things I wanted to improve with my oral care (like hot and cold sensitivity or remineralization after pregnancy)! The office was clean, cute, and the staff were kind and professional. I was also able to get an eligibility screening complete for overseas living (hello military) and overall I had a great experience! The waiting room has fake grass and a play area for kiddos. She always has the tv playing the newest movies for the kids in the waiting room and there's complimentary coffee! ( for tired mamas lol) Over the past 10 years it has always been like this! In the back the set up is so cool. The kids lay on tables and they have their own movies playing on TVs that are mounted to the ceiling. My kids look forward to their dental trips because they are treated so nice. And when they are done they get to pick a treasure, a sticker, and a pencil. They also get a bag with their new tooth brush, tooth paste etc. Its unlike any dentist I ever went to as a child! I would like to make a comment regarding alleged racism that was made in another yelp review in regard to this Dr. Office. My family is of African American descent and this is the only dentist that my children have been to since they were born. Ten years doing business here and not once have I EVER experienced any racism here. Me and my children have only been treated with kindness from everyone. From the receptionist, to the dental hygienist, and Dr. Egg. I have NEVER left this doctor office with a bad experience. All staff has gone above and beyond to make our experience here great. She called my insurance company while I was there and verified the insurance. She had them fax my benefits to their office while I was present. She told me I would hear back from her that day and that she would call me. Never did, in 3 days time. Our appointment was first thing in the am today and I called the office as soon as they opened while we were on the way to see if she had the cost for us. She instead insulted me and said if it is something your child needs, what does it matter what it costs. She then proceeded to tell me she "takes care of hers" as if I don't take care of my own children because I wanted to confirm the procedure cost. I then asked to speak to the owner because I was absolutely beside myself with my jaw wide open with the way she was speaking to me and she hung up on me. Upon me calling back, she said "I failed, I'm putting out fires every 5 minutes and I didn't have the time to confirm your insurance" (in 3 days time mind you) and said if it's such a big issue for you, I will pay for your child. This was not in grace but in trying to belittle me. She told me she has 6 six but that she would pay since I was giving her such a hard time on simply wanting to know what the procedure costs and hung up on me AGAIN. I never once said I couldn't afford it or wanted anyone to pay for MY child. All I wanted to know is what the out of pocket expense would be for the procedure before my daughter had it done early this am. I have never in my life seen a dentist office not provide this information or take so long to do so, especially since I saw the fax while I was there on Monday from my insurance doing their part. She had 3 days to let our family know what the cost would be through insurance but she was too busy or forget and instead wanted to talk to me like she has zero professionalism. It is an understatement to say she was RUDE, condescending, classless, and tried to make me feel like I couldn't afford to take care of my child because I simply asked her to do her JOB.

As someone who was traumatized at a young age by my local pediatric dentist, I understand all too…read morewell the significance of having a dentist who goes above and beyond for children when it comes to something important, like teeth. We went to another family dentistry across town (they were also exceptional in treatment of my kids, I still go there for myself) but since they caught a cavity they sent us to White & Johnson, knowing they could handle my oldest kids anxiety. I am beyond grateful to have such an amazing staff to work with my kids. The layout is efficient, the teamwork that I have witnessed during our appointments is flawless , and bedside manner is second to none- they sing songs, talk to the kids throughout cleanings to explain what they're doing and reassure them, and are completely transparent about everything upfront with parents. The only crying my anxiety-prone child did was in the wilmington office, as they tried to get the gas mask on him (he ultimately had to have his cavity taken care of at the hospital under general anesthesia) but even having gone through that, he is not at all scared of coming back. THAT is how I know they're doing everything right. While we do spend a bit more money here than we did elsewhere, but it certainly shows in the quality of care our kids receive.
