So I went in the next day to meet with her and she was not in the office, she was outside walking her dog (not something I'd usually be irritated by, but after the day before it rubbed me the wrong way). There was no one else in the office and a woman named Nicole who came to the front desk got incredibly defensive when I asked how long it usually takes her to come back; I was uncomfortable from the start. Had she spoken like an adult, things may have unfolded a little differently. I waited a few minutes and decided to leave because had I been late, no doubt that'd had been considered unprofessional, as I had another appointment afterward. Nicole gave me a nasty retort about the amount of time I'd have been there "anyway" with an unprofessional attitude, I felt like I was in high school again. When I ran into Vaughna (owner) in the hallway and let her know I was on my way out, she copped an attitude immediately and tried to make me feel guilty about her dog and proceeded to send me a passive-aggressive email afterward. Never have I felt so inconsequential. Terrible customer service. There's probably a good reason why their office was completely empty-people don't appreciate being treated rudely by "professionals" having no respect for others' time. Do yourself a favor-especially if you're young looking-because these people won't take you seriously-don't waste your time.

To kick things off, it took two weeks after purchasing to get on our career coaching call. Little did I know that was actually one of the faster turnarounds through the process. After our first meeting, which I did find helpful and I wish there was more of, it took three weeks to receive my first version of a resume, which unfortunately contained a few mechanical errors as well as sections and bullet points that did not match. After some more back and forth over the next 12 days, I finally received a resume that I could use, though I ended up just making more a refined version on my own. The completed updates to my LinkedIn than took another month, though I will admit my own response slowed after essentially moving forward with the recruitment process on my own at this stage. Frankly, the revisions for LinkedIn also did not make a lot of sense for what I wanted in my target roles and lacked focus. From starting in early July to finishing in mid-October (4 months), we finally finished the process. I do not expect any follow-up from Resume Scripter based on how self-guided the experience was. If there were more opportunities to hop on calls to discuss feedback and strategy beyond the single 45 minute session at the beginning, then I think the experience would have gone more smoothly. But, frankly, I think this team is overworked and handling too many other projects to deliver the client experience suggested by the price tag.
