If you're looking for orchids at a good price, you can find them at Sunset Nursery in Kendall. We came here for mother's day because my mom is an orchid fanatic and she loves to visit nurseries so this was the perfect spot. There are many nurseries in the area and across south Florida, but we loved stumbling upon this one! After visiting a couple of spots beforehand, Sunset Nursery had the best deals on orchids (& other plants)! There are some parking spots when you first drive in but if that's full, you can find a whole lot in the back. They had great mother's day deals for plants but especially orchids. You can find deals like for $8 and 2 for $20! They also have premade arrangements that were beautiful and ready to go and gift. My family loved strolling around the area & picking out plants. We ended up getting some vanda orchids ($30 each), which are my mom's favorite, and a few small ones along with pots to put them in for gifts. The small pots ranged from $3-$8 and the small orchids were fairly priced, as well. We'll most likely be back the next time my mom wants to buy some orchids! read more

Had been planning to fix my backyard a bit and went into Sunset Nursery and was attended right away and driven around in a golf cart and shown different options for my project - they went to my house the same day to give me an estimate on the job (included removal of rocks, weeds, added soil, palm trees, lava rocks and pot work with cactus) Once all agreed they set the date for the work to be done - they arrived on time and with all supplies. I come here all the times with my 87 year old dad to keep his spirit and mind going. He loves gardening and selecting plants that bloom why? To keep my mom who's suffering Alzheimer's smiling. Great selection of healthy plants and pots at great prices. The grounds are huge and filled with lots of outdoor and indoor plants. They have a good mix of popular plants like fiddle leaf fig trees and monsteras, but I was also pleasantly surprised to find more rare plants like a pink princess philodendron and Thai constellation. If you're looking for orchids like I was, they have multiple different types and sizes of orchids too. They also sell nice, simple pots at low prices so if you want to take your new plant home potted, I'd recommend just getting one there. I got an orchid ($15), hoya kerri ($40), and fittonia ($6) and they're all still doing great! read more

Bought 2 bougainvilleas for $8 and a zz plant for $90. Prices are reasonable. What I liked most was the customer service. The employees are every helpful and most importantly informative regarding plant care and placement for optimal lighting based on the plants needs. Plants are a great addition to any home. Lots of nice plants here. Not everything has prices marked but most were priced clearly. I was looking for shade or indoor plants and hoyas. I was very happy with the options. They had a nice selection of small hoyas for an awesome price. Lots of beautiful orchids at great prices! Bought a nice 6" Rhaphidophora tetrasprema for $10 after seeing them elsewhere for $30+. Left with more hoya and orchids than I was planning but spent very little money. I'm sure I'll be back again. read more

Disappointed! Workers give you the price on unpriced plants then price changed when checking out, by 3 times as much? Seems that Prices are higher for some customers over others based on Latino or other? Pay cash. No tax. Hope they are doing this legally. They do have some nice rare plants but they are really overpriced. read more

This place is a scam! They sold me two huge Box hedge and they dried out in 3 days???!!!! I watered them at home AND it rained ! Wtf? Both of the Owners were extremely RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL TO ME WHEN I ASKED THEM TO EXCHANGE them for HEALTHY plants. These two women are a piece of shit for how they treated me. This is the BEST nursery in Miami! I recently started a butterfly garden, and found all the plants I needed here! Carla and Rocio are very knowledgeable, and took the time to educate me on host larvae plants and attractants. My plants are very healthy, and I now have a propagating butterfly garden! If they are low on an item, they will restock by the next day, and call you as soon as plants arrive. They introduced me to The Justice plant and Thryalis bush, which has been the most welcomed site to my neighbors! I added this combination to my mom's yard, and am planning to add it to my friend's yard this weekend. Their staff are very friendly and helpful. They truly have plants that the nearby nurseries don't. And their plants are new and strong, as opposed to some nurseries, that sell you old, stringy plants. I thank Sunset Nursery for my show stopping front yard, and for my incredible butterfly garden. The garden is full of hearty plants from this nursery, caterpillars, and butterflies! If you want gorgeous plants and great advice, this is the nursery for you! read more

Buyer beware...This place is wayyyyy over priced. The same plant next door was $12 and here it was $120. 10x more! I thought they were joking but they were very serious. In their defense all of their plants look very healthy and the staff was nice (but not overly friendly). I'd skip this place. Prices of plants are going up in this area of miami in general. Be AWARE of the CROOK OWNER/ cashier! Beautiful plants, nice selection - NO PRICES. Prices are told by nursery workers. After you waste your half of a day by selecting plants and you are on the way to your car - IT IS A DIFFERENT SONG at cashiers. It happened to me not the first time with the same person - she decides the price by looking at you and when your CC in the machine... Never again - numerous nurseries with beautiful plants and honest people around.... read more

horrible service! we went on mother's day to pick up some orchids . after doing 25 minutes on line when we got to the register an they refused to sell us the plant we had selected, she was very rude to us .and all because she wanted for herself. i try calling to the number on the banner and the same rude lady answer claiming she was the owner.. horrible servicio al cliente ,despues de estar 25 min en linea cuando llegamos a la registradora se negaron a vendernos la planta que habiamos seleccionado. una señora con muy poca educacion salio gritando que esa.planta era para ella . alegando que ella es la dueña del nursery..... mas nunca compro ahy horrible servicio. read more
