Bougainvillea with tiny thorn, exactly what I was looking for.

Elegua has a variety of plants, lovely flowers and orchids. Staff is very nice. I recommend this nursery.

This is the tree at my house. Trash can is for size reference.

I went there today to look at their tree selection after visiting two neighboring nurseries. I was told I could walk around and a worker would come see me when one became available. 3 minutes later one showed up in a golf cart. He was very patient and drove me around showing me several flowering trees. When I mentioned one species I liked (Ligustrum), he showed me all the different sizes they offered and explained the pricing structure. He went so far as to trim and shape one I liked that had 3 trunks so I could see the potential it had. I wound up purchasing that same one. It was incredibly nice of him to be so patient and go the extra mile. Furthermore, his price was $30 less than the neighboring nursery for the same gallon size. I will definitely shop here again.

Excellent service. Great variety of plants and fairly priced for the most part. They are fairly knowledgeable, unlike Margaritas Nursery.

Great selection and prices. I just bought a gorgeous Monstera and can't wait to go back to browse the rows and rows of beautiful plants.

Very nice plants. nice staff. However too pricey for the average person doing their own landscape.

Arecas are twice as tall as the nursery just down the road and the arecas at Elegua's are $8.

I woke up this morning (it's a beautiful Sunday in Miami as I write this) and thought, "it's time…read moreto go plant shopping." After countless mornings waking up in a bedroom lacking greenery, I googled best plant shops in Miami. Many of the newer more popular stores came up but then so did Galloway Farm Nursery. For as long as I can remember, this nursery has been around and therefore I stuck with the tried and true. Perhaps it was the sense of familiarity that ultimately drew me to Galloway--a welcoming, unstuffy, old faithful that made me feel confident to plant shop despite my shortcomings with plants themselves. But when I got there, I quickly realized that the comfort I felt walking in was solidified by the assistance I received. Eavesdropping on another customer and team member, I could hear that the gentleman assisting was well versed in all things plants. I mean, one would hope that is the case, but you never know these days. If you're like me, sometimes you have trouble asking for help. But I wanted a big plant, damnit! And there was no way I would be able to physically lift the one I wanted on my own. After mustering up the courage to ask for help, I got so much more than that. I got information, I got recommendations, I got educated, and I even got help re-potting my plant. I'm not sure this is a regular service offered, however because it was very slow when I went the person was glad to help me. All of that being said, I left with the perfect low-light plants for my home for an unbeatable price. They even helped me put it in my truck. The value here is totally worth it. And then I realized....how the hell am I going to get these inside my house alone? LOL! Practical things to note: ample parking available, deliciously cool orchid room for those unbearably hot days, lots of cute cats hanging around. Galloway Farm Nursery is a must-try!
