My server was very nice but wouldn't allow me to take advantage of the breakfast specials because I was there at 11:10 & the specials expired at 11:00, which I kinda understood. I found that to be a rather chinchy move in my opinion. Nothing to write home for food. It didn't really offer anything special but it was good. Peameal bacon was nicely done. I doubt I'd go again, there's not enough of a uniqueness to warrant another visit.

We got the Grand Slam and the Jack's Classic Benedict, along with some coffees. The food was good and was exactly what you expect from a small diner. My partner really liked the pancakes, sausages, and peameal bacon that came with my benny. I really liked the potatoes and the perfectly poached eggs. This is truly a local gem in Mississauga, one which we will definitely be back to visit.

Unfortunately for me that meant I felt out of control sick or I was in a lot of pain at random times. Once I was there, I started to feel terrible. It had nothing to do with the service, food or anything, it was just how bad I felt. I probably had resting "B" face if you catch my drift. Anyways, apparently I looked distressed or furious, and the waiters and managers kept apologizing for the wait and asking if I needed to change something out. Mind you, I never once addressed them. Like in American restaurants you can literally be like, "Hey this isn't right," and some of the responses will be go see a manager, who is hiding in the back and then claims the next day you should have seen him that night to fix your issues. Not Skyway, they were like this customer doesn't look happy, we need to fix that. There really wasn't anything they could have done, because it was nothing they did. It was just me being sick. But the fact that the food was great, even if I was in too much pain to finish it, it came out quick, and we kept getting amazing service was worth it to me. I don't know when I'll be back in Canada, but if I am, I want to return here when I'm not feeling sick, so I can thoroughly enjoy this place more. They don't allow simple modifications to meals, even for dietary needs like avoiding gluten, and they weren't very friendly about it either. At one point, we asked if the blinds could be lowered because the sunlight was directly in our eyes, but they were opened again without asking us, and the response felt dismissive. It's unfortunate, because the food and setting are enjoyable, but the service makes it harder to want to come back.
