Came here with coworkers yesterday later in the evening and we loved it! We sat at the bar, right above the water and had a great view of the sunset. If you like bowley's on the bay then you will love this place too. It's a great place for drinks and casual dining. You can sit at tables the sand or walk on the dock. People parked their boats and came here to eat. Bathrooms were clean and their indoor seating has a nice balcony and large garage door windows they can open up. You can feel safe knowing there is armed security around too, and plenty of free parking. Loved it!

Rockfish wrap- WAY too much spicy chipotle aioli

Came here with out of town guests hoping to show them a good Baltimore county time. Well, we got dinner and a show because there was a girl fight at the bar! The only thing this place has going for it is the location and ambiance. Food is very average and nothing to write home about. I had the rockfish wrap which was small and way too spicy for my taste. Took forever to get two drinks to our table. Probably 15 minutes or so. We also asked for appetizer plates which never came. Waters didn't get refilled. I don't think I would come back here for anything other than drinks at the bar maybe. I was pretty embarrassed to bring out of town friends here with how bad everything was.

Great waterfront setting and a great place to chill at lunchtime. A friend and I converged on the Cove for lunch. And, it was my first visit. We sat at the bar by the water and ordered orange/ grapefruit crushes for each of us. My friend ordered the quesadilla and I ordered the Sunset Burger. Food came out quickly. That burger... where do I start? Huge patty. Bacon. Egg. Cheese. Aioli sauce. On a bun. Perfectly cooked and delicious. My friend enjoyed his enchilada. After finishing lunch and a second adult beverage, we moved on. Bar service was friendly and on point. I like this place and will try to make it back. Soon.

I thought it was a nice location. I had the "The Jetty". The crab dip on this burger was so good, I needed some to go! I wish I had a photo, but... I ate it all!

Just came here for a drink and some sun. Their orange crushes are made with fresh oranges so that's a plus!! Will definitely be back

My husband and I stopped in yesterday for lunch. I had not been to Sunset Cove prior to that for several years! We arrived around noon and were able to get a table on the beach. Although it was pretty sunny out, the umbrellas provided great shade. I started with a bottled beer while he ordered a grapefruit crush. It states that it is made with fresh squeezed grapefruit juice but it did not look like it at all. Although my husband enjoyed his drink, it definitely did not compare to ones at other bars and restaurants. We started off with the jerk chicken appetizer. It was served with a mango salsa and a side of honey mustard. It was delicious! It was so good that my husband decided to order the jerk chicken wrap with chips for lunch. It was the same as the appetizer, just in a wrap! I had the honey bear chicken wrap which was crispy chicken, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato and honey mustard. I thought it was tasty. The service was friendly and quick. The views were nice and we had perfect weather yesterday to sit outside.

This has always been one of my fav lil summer spots! I've never sat in tge inside so I can't tell u what it's like, I always sit outside! I love water, so I have to sit in the outside dining part, lol! The outside always makes me feel like I'm at the beach, from the sand underneath your feet as you eat, looking at the water and the music. I had the fish tacos and they were pretty good, the salsa made my tacos juicy (I hate dry tacos). I had a rum punch which was good. My boyfriend bad crabcake, fries and green beans. I only tasted his crabcake and it was okay, I wasn't crazy abt it because I could taste the filler on it. The service was good, Taylor was our server, she was super bubbly and pleasant!

This past weekend, my boyfriend and I went to dinner at Sunset Cove. It was a beautiful, warm evening out and we were able to get a table outside on the sand with no wait at all. The service was great too - our serve was attentive and prompt. First, we had a delicious crab dip, then we ordered our dinner. I had a wrap and my boyfriend had a burger, and we both enjoyed our meals. We also had coconut cream pie for dessert which was delicious. This was the perfect place to come for dinner on a late-spring/summer evening. I did want to mention that towards the end of our visit, an agitated man a few tables away began screaming and blubbering about his dissatisfaction with the service. It became apparent to everyone at Sunset Cove that this customer was in the wrong. I just want to commend the staff and security for dealing with this situation professionally and promptly. I was really impressed. We will definitely be coming back here.

First time here and will definitely be back the vibe gave everything needed to enjoy enjoy a nice lunch down by the water . My server recommended the honey glaze salmon which AMAZING. The price was fair and gratuity included

After a day of sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, we headed over to Sunset Cove to wrap up the beautiful summer day. The wait was not surprising (an hour and twenty minutes for a table at 6:30 PM on a Saturday night), but we were lucky to get a bar table out in the sand. We ordered at the bar and got to watch the O's game while enjoying some tasty cocktails. "Suntan toes ticklin' the sand. Cold drink chillin' in my right hand," no truer words were sung (by Kenny Chesney), and literally as the sun went down. The view of the marina with the sun setting was spectacular. Oh! They serve food, too! The rockfish bites were tasty and enough for leftovers, the pina coladas were refreshing and fruity, and the nachos were OMG! Delicious! Great service and great views of the water. Get your summer on!

This is plastic that came nicely fried & breaded in the Calamari I ordered...

Plastic came nicely fried & breaded in the Calamari I ordered...Sarah, one of the managers on duty came over & also confirmed this was indeed plastic from the Calamari packaging..she was very apologetic & stated that she would take that off the bill even though we finished the calamari... well yeah Sarah, we didn't know you guys were serving calamari with special prizes & it just so happened to be the last one we ate...Any-hoot, Sarah asked if I would like another drink, on top off her taking the already consumed Calamari off the bill. I say that's fine; in agreement. But when the bill comes, I see they are charging me for the second drink...How??

It's a hidden gem, middle of all the boat storage Love the view, very nice chill night. The building of the restaurant seems closed, only the outside is open I think they are short staffed, so we had to order at the bar.Food were good and quick.

I stopped in with my family for a little dinner. I hadn't been here I years and thought I'd check it again. The ambience is awesome. Waterfront seating with tables in the sand. It was a beautiful day so the table outside was perfect. We were immediately greeted by a friendly waitress who was very patient with us. They had some interesting cocktails so, My wife had the Sunset crush which was excellent. For entree, it is the Fish and Chips, my wife had the Jerk Chicken salad and my son had the Shrimp tacos. The fish was very good, but the fries had an off taste. It was hard to explain, but they tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in a while. The cole slaw was simply ok. Nothing to write home about. The jerk chicken, however, was very good, as was the shrimp tacos. But my son agreed, the fries were off. Overall, the service was great and the relaxing location was awesome, but the food was so so. At least the entree I had. Since the location and service was so good, I will be back to give it another try. Hopefully, it was just a bad day in the kitchen. I'll update when I return.

How crowded are they on Sunday evenings?

They are very crowded on weekends and they can't handle it so the service is terrible then

Do they still have the crabby mac and cheese appetizer?

    They sure do

It is a casual, fun funky kind of place. There's plenty of car parking in the front and there are several jet, ski landing pads, and a pier with plenty of cleats for boat dockage. The draft (water depth) into and out of the cover is shallow outside of the channel so be certain to stay inside of the markers. We have gone there for brunch on Sunday mornings several times. The food is so good in the morning. Their breakfast menu has the full compliment of everything you might like for breakfast. We usually get omelettes and basically something similar to a grand slam breakfast. Breakfast is very fresh/cooked to order. Extremely reasonable prices for all of the food. Another thing we like to do is to visit Brewers Landing for the live music. It's usually pretty busy but we've never not been able to find a seat. Everyone is there listening to music, dancing and having a good time. You can get hot fresh steamed crabs or a pit beef sandwich like we did on the day that we went to see the band Experience. Their menu is extensive. The food is always very good. It's a casual, laid-back place, so it's not fine dining, but it's always good for an afternoon of fun. The staff is always friendly and it is always busy (the sign of a popular place with good food), but they hustle. Everything comes out as ordered in a relatively fast time. It's a great place to go if you love to watch sunsets on the water, too. Convenient to the 695 Beltway as well, you just get off at the Eastern Avenue exit and head towards Essex. We hope you can make it there some day.

I cannot comment on the food directly because I didnt eat, but they have plenty of bar food options and crabs that other people seemed to have enjoyed. I ordered a $16 hot dog that came with a surprise--a metal pellet embedded in it. I ended up chipping part of my tooth. When I raised the issue, the manager came out with the person who prepares the food. Their exact words: "We were looking for that piece." They offered me a few complimentary drinks and replaced the hot dog. But when I closed my tab, they charged me for every single drink, including the ones they had offered to make amends. So in the end, the only thing they did was replace the original hot dog--after it chipped my tooth. Disappointed is an understatement. A gesture of goodwill turned into a confusing bill. I hope they take food safety and customer care more seriously moving forward.
