Place to be for the perfect view of the amazing sunset! This is located by the pool area so can be loud at time. You can sit at the bar area or outside and enjoy the gorgeous view. Great menu options. Please note if you have allergies they can't accommodate as there is cross contamination due to the use of Macadamia nuts. Anything fried you are out of luck! Grilled mahi mahi was delish! Very flavorful and not over cooked to give it a chewy feel. Beverages good variety do check out bar tenders choice of cocktails you won't be disappointed. They have kids menu as well good choices of burgers and pizza. Go early if you want a good seat to watch the sunset.

This place is pretty good. The servers are very attentive and they've been to figure out pretty quick. Actually the quickest we've ever had at a hotel pool even more than any hotel in Los Angeles. We know Ireland people take their time because they're very relaxed. So this was very very impressive.

This is a pool/beach view restaurant, and the sunsets here are phenomenal, no doubts about that. The food was ok, but I guess it's expected you're here paying for the ambiance, not the quality. For 3 people, we opted for the smoked fish dip and the Vietnamese steak. The fish dip was a bit salty, but honestly still great. It only came with 4 small pieces of bread, and given the amount of salt in the dip, we asked for more. Later, we found out on the bill it was $3 extra for 3 small pieces of bread. The steak was very unique, the au jus was made from pho broth. That was cool and the steak was cooked well. The ginger friend rice that came with it definitely fell flat. We ended up mixing the smoked fish dip with the rice since one was too salty and one lacked flavor, silly combo but it worked The service was also ok. It felt like we were trying to chase down our server. It was hard to flag her down for the check and extra utensils. After asking her for an extra fork at the bar, she brought over a wooden to go fork... which was weird given that this is at the Ritz Carlton and we are paying resort prices.

Best Bloody Mary on the island. It's a basil bacon bloody for $21 but totally worth it!

Great location with views of the ocean, a blow hole, the waves and the surf and the sunset. Attentive Service with a friendly smile and a moderately great menu with drinks and bites to enjoy and listen to the surf.

Absolutely beautiful view of the beach! We originally sat at the bar, but slowly migrated out to a few lounge chairs closer to the water. Intermittent rain was fun as we watched people run for cover and then back out to their seats (we may or may not have been said people). No reservations needed; just wander over and find a seat. THE FOOD. - Okonomiyaki Fries | House tare (sauce), wasabi aioli, ao nori (seaweed flakes), katsuo flakes (thinly shaved & dried fermented fish), and diced green onion. The flavors are pungently fishy, umami, savory, and sweet. I loved it so much! Highly recommend if you're into more fishy-type flavors. THE DRUNK DRINKS. - Big Wave Golden Ale | Refreshingly crisp with tropical fruity notes and slightly malty. Perfect beer for the beach! - Sunset's Mai Tai | Citrusy with a lingering caramel finish. Comes with a pineapple wedge. - Mango Cart | I couldn't detect the mango notes, but I have faith it's in there. - Pau Hana Punch | Again, I couldn't detect the mango, but I was able to taste the strawberry; evidenced by the tangy sweet flavors. THE PARKING. Park at the Turtle Bay Resort's self parking and walk through the hotel to get to the bar. Parking is free, but it's difficult to find an open spot. COMING BACK? Absolutely would love to come back one day. The beach views are spectacular.

I don't usually leave bad reviews, but I wanted to share our terrible experience today at the Turtle Bay Sunset Bar. The food is Great but... the customer service was terrible, especially from the manager, Thomas. My husband and I came to the Turtle Bay Ritz-Carlton to pick up personal items left by a Professional Lacrosse Player/Team Owner from the mainland, who is a good friend of my husband. We drove all the way from Kahala to pick up these sentimental items that were left at the front desk for us after their stay. We had a great day, stopping at Pipeline to watch professional bodyboarders, and even bumped into my husband's college schoolmate, who is also a professional bodyboarder. When we arrived at the Ritz, we decided to go to their bar to enjoy the rest of the day, watch some football, drink beer, and eat pupus while we're waiting for the Bell man to collect our items that was left for us. We were sitting at the far end of the bar on the left side, where the waitress and Manager Thomas often were. I had a brief conversation with Thomas, apologizing for working on adding flowers to my hat while eating there. We had a good first tab with John, spending around $110. After he left, we ordered another round of beers, garlic shrimp, a rice bowl, and two more beers for another $60 with the other bartender, Matt. (Great customer service by these two). As the day ended, my husband and I talked about checking out the pool. I dipped my feet in but didn't want to go all the way in because there were too many kids, and I was thinking about the pee, lol. I asked the waitress if they had a hot tub, and she pointed out the two locations. We didn't intend to go there, as we were trying to catch the sunset back at the beach. I went back and asked my husband if he wanted to sit by the pool so I could finish my hat before we left. From a distance, I noticed a security guard heading to the bar, and I wondered why. We had literally just sat down for about two seconds when Thomas came over and told us to leave, saying we weren't allowed to hang out by the pool if we weren't staying there. We had no issue with that rule, but the way he delivered the message and spoke to us was shocking and insulting. We were just eating and drinking in the bar; he could have informed us that the pool area was only for guests while we were seated there, and we would have understood. But the fact that he made it a big deal by calling the security guard, who stood there backing him up, was very insulting, especially since we were just chatting and he didn't even ask if we were staying there or if we were kama'aina. We felt very insulted, especially since we had spent money at their bar--two orders of garlic shrimp (five pieces each), one bowl of rice, chips and guacamole, and five beers, costing us $170 in cash, including tips. You could at least take care of your kama'aina and show some respect with friendly, professional, and proper communication. And FYI we didn't even ask them for some "Kama'aina Discount" It just heart breaking he was just there next to me... We are very disappointed and will gladly inform all our professional clubs not to stay or use their business if this is how they treat paying customers who hang out at their bar. We have used their conference room before to host our professional club, my best friend, who is an executive for American Savings Bank, just stayed there last weekend. She even invited me to join her, but I couldn't take off work. So, I thought, wow, it's really meant for me to come back to Turtle bay this time, especially since the last time we were there was in January of last year. Thomas, you can definitely improve your customer service! And Dan, I appreciate your apology, but you really need to train your manager to lead by example and provide great customer service. This is especially important for your local kama'aina customers who travel from across the island and who have recommended and brought many paying customers, including professional athletes, from the mainland.

Stopped in for pupus to meet guests at Sunset at the pool of Turtles Bay resort. With the new flag making the resort a Ritz, it appears many upgrades have been made. The setting absolutely could not be nicer and the winter waves made the sea mesmerizing! The pupus were delicious, the garlic shrimp were huge! But the two standouts here were the Service and the View. Drinks were also delicious and there are great options for nonalcoholic beverages.

Beautiful view of the ocean and surfers. Had a Pina Colada and a Lava Flow and hubby had an Old Fashioned. Loved the Pina Colada, but the Lava Flow was a bit too sweet for me. Ate here multiple times while lounging at the pool. The food is pretty good just like the other restaurants at Turtle Bay. You have spectacular views of the ocean and the hotel from here. The only challenge was that service was spotty and slow multiple times.

Ambiance is 12/10! Can't beat this bar with an amazing ocean view by the pool at Turtle Bay. They have a few TVs to catch games as well. Service has always been friendly. Go for their drinks but I'd save your appetite for other restaurant areas of Turtle Bay like Roy's at their lagoon.

Our server informed us that it had been off and on for the past week, but went down since Friday. Not good for only being open for a year. Since we were technically "working", that had to wait for another time. Our server, Erin, was so nice and apologetic, even tho it wasn't her fault. For obvious reasons it was fairly slow, for a normal Sunday lunch crowd. Since we were pressed for time, we ended up just ordering a couple of appetizers; the sausage bites and chicken. They were both tempura style battered, and served with sauce or mustard on the side. The sausage had a slight spice to it, which was nice, and it was served piping hot pot of the fryer. A fork would've been nice, but they were small enough to eat by hand, but be careful, because they're pretty tough to bite thru. The chicken bites were smaller and easier to handle, although they were a bit dry, so the ranch furikake dipping sauce helped. Despite how appetizing it looked, it was not very heavy in flavor-- which is a bit disappointing. The Garlic Shrimp was well cooked and the creamy garlic sauce was nice and palatable, but I wanted more of that signature deep garlic flavor that you crave in garlic shrimp. The grilled lemon was an amazing touch, and that salad with yuzu dressing was absolutely my favorite part. The Yuzu dressing was absolutely to-die for, and I'm certain the salad that came with the plate was even better than the shrimp, which should've been just a bit more flavorful in order to give the dish more impact. Otherwise, I'm quite happy with my experience here, and my family seemed pleased with their own dishes. The restaurant accommodated changes to the meal, which is good if you have family members with other dietary needs. Overall, a solid stop while you're exploring the North Shore!
