Relying on Yelp reviews we contacted San Diego Home Caregivers and met with the owner Sterling Miles. It was clear from the start that finding the right caregiver and meeting all of Mom's needs was his top priority. He even gave us information on other options in case his services might not meet our needs. He is genuine in his concern and commitment to providing top level care. We could not have been more impressed when we met Mom's new caregiver Jasmine. Her cheerful, warm personality was a perfect fit, and Mom was immediately comfortable with her. She went out of her way to not only care for Mom but to also help us in any way she could. Unfortunately, by the end of January Mom was at the end stage of her life. Consumer beware! We were assured that their caregiver staff were trained professionals that were…read morequalified to provide our loved one with the care needed. However, the majority of caregivers they provided were brand new to the field, and had no previous caregiver experience at all. For example, they didn't even know how to change an adult brief. Our family had to spend personal time training them for many days, yet we were charged full price by the company for all the days we spent training their staff. Also, oftentimes caregivers clocked in several minutes early while sitting in their car and clocked out several minutes after completing their shift while sitting around in their car. We were then asked to pay overtime charges for when those caregivers were not even in our home. When disputing these charges the company justified the caregiver actions in the name of company paperwork requirements. However these requirements were NOT disclosed to us upfront. We were also charged overtime and double time charges for 4-5 hour shifts. When disputing these charges the company justified the billing by claiming that caregivers may have worked elsewhere prior to their shift. However this caveat is NOT disclosed in their contract, nor was it disclosed to us at the time the shifts were booked.

I have had physical therapy elsewhere in years past and I am a retired physician. I have significant osteoarthritis. Jim is, without a doubt, the best, most knowledgeable physical therapist provider I have ever met or worked with. He knows exactly what he is doing, can communicate wonderfully about musculoskeletal problems and pain and is a wizard with his fingertips. He has extensive knowledge of human anatomy. I NEVER thought that I would be relieved of my pain or get back to exercising. I am 68 and now am thrilled that the muscle and tendon pain and tightness that came with aging and long term exercise has been eliminated. When it does creep up on me again, I know exactly how to deal with it. I am back to the wonderful exercising I love to do and am sleeping with minimal pain.
