My mom was not doing well after a a 2 month radiation process and I needed help! We started out with care from 4pm - 8pm but as mom has improved we just have someone every night from 4-midnight. BEWARE*DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY! I PRAY THIS HELPS ANYONE IN THE FUTURE! I Just had Cancer removal Surgery 6 days ago and had my first caregiver start YESTERDAY for a 4 hour shift. She told me that she has been with Greentree agency for ONLY TWO MONTHS, she is 20yrs old and had a very hard time with the English language. Understanding/Speaking it. I asked her if she could make me a salmon and mashed potatoes but to please put the salmon in oven so it can get softer and is healthier. I just had surgery and my throat can't swallow that good. She told me she'd have to sit down and look at YouTube videos to find recipe since she never cooked salmon and doesn't know how to cook it. After a long while on her phone she finally cooked a simple salt/pepper and garlic salmon on STOVETOP instead of oven like I had asked her to, she not only Burnt The salmon, my pan as well and left Stove SO GREASY SND DIRTY didn't have the courtesy to at least wipe it down! I could not swallow the salmon or eat it. . She sat again for quite sometime on her phone she told me that for a 4 hour shift she is to take a 2 (15 minute breaks) and 30 minute Lunch?! Which she did, she used the electric sweeper/vacuum the kitchen, room nothing else. Not living room room where I was sitting not bathroom nothing else. I asked if she could help me fold some clothes but just set them on top of my bed NOT in the drawers. She again did it her way, opposite she put some clothes in drawers and some on bed! I asked if she could pls change my sheets since I slept in them after coming home from hospital. She then immediately went to my bathroom for quite sometime came back out 6 minutes later; I had dropped my glasses, asked if she could pick them up as she did her phone on pocket fell out. That's all she did helped with nothing else! I was feeling uncomfortable in my own home having her just sitting on her phone. I told her she could leave around 5:20 since she didn't have a car (her BF dropped her off) she couldn't pick up my MEDICATIONS either and wasn't doing anything else aside from eating her snacks and on phone. She sat again, I was feeling very hungry my stomach was growling, no snacks offered no water-no serving me the meal or anything knowingly I just had surgery. At 5:30 pm said her bf is in mission valley stuck in traffic. She Didn't help anymore n didn't ask if she could wait for him here, finally left at 6:15 pm! I asked Agency if they could send someone else since they had told me it is very common to not have a good fit of a caregiver right away. So if I needed to request another until I found a good caregiver fit. They also tasked me to give a feedback on why the request, and after I told them exactly what had happened they said they'd REMOVE previous caregiver from ALL shifts and stated next day Josefina new caregiver will be here tomorrow and on Friday Arlene and Monday Ana. But UNEXPECTEDLY SEVEN 7 MINUTES before 2 pm the start time of shift, thinking the new caregiver would arrive soon, I get a text from JOCELYN (everything is saved on my texts for proof ) the text said " Good afternoon , I hope this message finds you well. We regret to inform you that we will be DISCONTINUING our services effective IMMEDIATELY . Based on your previous FEEDBACK, it appears that our services may not be the best fit for your needs. Please contact your insurance provider to discuss alternative options. Thank you for your understanding. - YOSELYN SEGURA Client Services Manager"! What?! 7 minutes before the shift started they CANCELED ME OUT knowingly I JUST had SURGERY and needed the HELP! They only gave me 7 minutes at 2:53 PM! (Also have texts as proof!) They definitely did not give any notices ahead of time to have some other agency assist me or anyone else! They DID NOT CARE about the PATIENT! They lack EMPATHY and from any Agency this is completely UNPROFESSIONAL! I expressed my concern and told them I was baffled and confused, and they are aware I JUST had SURGERY, still DIDN'T CARE! PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH DONT HIRE THIS GREENTREE AGENCY! They DON'T CARE about you patients as they state they do. Green Tree Home Care - Caregiver did not care about patient and sat using phone excessively - Home Health Care Near Me - Santee, California

We have been clients of Green Tree Home Care since March 2025 when the caregiver who had been assisting me care for my elderly father retired after being with us for 15 months. Unfortunately, the agency from which we sourced our wonderful caregiver was unable to find us an available replacement that met all of our requirements, so they suggested that we contact another agency for assistance. So, we contacted Green Tree Home Care for assistance. My initial contact was with Yoselin. She carefully listened to an in-depth description of my father, his medical issues, his care needs and the list of qualifications/requirements/needs we were looking for in a caregiver. She indicated that she would take a day or two to speak with her Staffing Manager and review all of their current caregivers, their qualifications and their availability to determine if they would be able to assist us and, if so, would reach back out to me shortly. True to her word, she contacted me two days later to indicate that they had a short list of candidates with a clear front runner, so the next step would be for their Staffing Manager to come meet with us. That meeting was scheduled quickly and within a few days, we met with Andrea in our home. She reviewed our home environment and confirmed our list of requirements for a new caregiver, as well as a list of tasks that we would like the caregiver to perform for my father. She indicated that they had a caregiver in mind and proceeded to fill us in on her background and qualifications. We agreed that she sounded like a wonderful fit and she was scheduled to start with us the following week. The caregiver that the agency placed with us, Margie, was wonderful and highly skilled. She and my father got along wonderfully, and she even taught him some words in Spanish! We had Margie with us for 5 months and cherished the time that she was with us and caring for my father. When she left, the agency started a new search and, until a permanent replacement could be placed, he had a few temporary caregivers assist him. They too were very good and highly skilled, but not a perfect fit for him long term. Within a week or so, they found a fantastic caregiver who started with us shortly thereafter. Carlo has been with us for the past 2.5 months and we could not be happier with the care that he provides for my father. He is a highly skilled CNA with a wealth of experience and an absolutely delightful person. Jacqui is our go to representative for all staffing needs and schedule changes. She does an excellent job at managing our caregivers schedule, as well as any needed schedule changes. As for the reasons that we would recommend Green Tree Home care to any client and/or family member looking for care for their loved one, they would be as follows: 1) Business Operation: This is a minority, female owned and run business, and it shows. Every member of the staff is truly committed to and engaged in the business of providing quality and compassionate care to the clients and families that they serve. They have systems in place that allow them to efficiently schedule caregivers, account for tasks performed, communicate with the client/family, record caregiver's time & updates on client care, invoice clients, etc. Every time we have called/texted/e-mailed, someone has picked up the phone and/or responded to us in a timely manner. They have an information and easy to navigate website with information and helpful information. Lastly, they have a client portal where the client can see invoices, care plans, leave comments, etc. 2) Communication: Every member of the staff that we have dealt with over the past 7 months has been wonderful. They answer the phone when you call. They respond to e-mails and texts in a timely manner. They are professional, polite and responsive. They clearly listen to your needs, concerns and/or questions and address them quickly and efficiently. 3) Quality of Caregivers & Staff: The (4) caregivers that we have had the pleasure of having with us on either a short or long-term basis have had good and applicable work experience; strong training/licensing/education; quickly learn the client's care plan and execute it well; and are truly people who enjoy the work that they do and it shows. They are polite, professional, and report to work typically wearing scrubs, a name badge and have gloves/masks, if needed. They follow good hygiene protocols by wearing gloves and washing their hands often. They perform a plethora of client care duties, as well as light housekeeping chores. They arrive to work on time and work their schedule shift. They accurately document their time. All administrative staff know the business and execute their designated roles flawlessly. read more

After researching care alternatives we interviewed three different caregiving agencies and chose Green Tree. This was our first experience with this kind of service and I am pleased with the way everything went. Linda met with us initially and was very informative and straight forward. We found that everything she represented to us was true. Green Tree was always available and responsive to our needs, 24/7. I believe this is critical. We were informed from the beginning that some caregivers may not "click" with us for various reasons. Indeed this was sometimes the case with a couple of the caregivers that were sent to us but any issues were immediately resolved by Linda and Imani. In the end we had a few regular caregivers that we were very comfortable with and could trust. It is a difficult transition to have strangers in your home for a while but we eventually found a routine that worked well for us. As my wife's condition deteriorated the care and compassion of Monique and Diane in particular gave us great comfort. On the business side, we needed to have Green Tree coordinate payment with our long term care insurance and this was done professionally and without any problems. This is huge since billing hassles are the last thing one needs during a stressful time such as this. In short, if I ever need a caregiving agency in the future I will absolutely go with Green Tree again. I think that says it all. My mom cared for my dad who had Alzheimer's disease. She managed pretty well until he started to have halucinations and stopped sleeping through the night. It was hard for mom to get help. But, I finally convienced her try hiring a caregiver. Green Tree Home Care was recommended by a neighbor. Linda came to my parent's house to meet them. she was super patient when she came. She could tell my parents weren't sure about having someone help them. She answered all thier questions and didn't pressure at all. They finally decided to start with three days a week. Mom loved the young lady who came over and I could tell her stress level went down. After about 6 months of working with Green Tree dad had a fall at night. His home was scary, it was obvious that hadn't been cleaned in ages. But worst of all, this poor person had a very serious problem with his leg. I wasn't sure what to do. Not all companies provide service in our area so we were very happy that Green Tree would. We were all a bit nervous since this was our first time utilizing home health care. My mom is 82, and has been in and out of the hospital about 6 times over the last year. She is fiercely independent, and does not want to leave her home. She has friends she plays cards with in her neighborhood, and does not want to move away from the home she loves. As a family we take turns driving her to the doctor, making sure she has food, and spending time with her. We hired Green Tree when my mom needed some help with her daily life. We started at three times a week, four hours a day. Green Tree was very accommodating when schedule changes were required and we requested caregivers at the last minute. Mom preferred some caregivers over others, but schedules would not always permit visits from her preferred caregivers. The caregivers were always prompt, courteous and never hesitated to do whatever was needed from them. Some housecleaning is provided, although it is definitely light-duty, as nothing was ever cleaned as thoroughly as I would have liked. Linda and Imani were a pleasure to work with and always provided excellent communication. When my mom called Green Tree complaining of severe pain, they called 911 for her and then called me to let me know what happened. We stopped using Green Tree when my mom transitioned to needing 24 hour care and moved to a board and care home. I contacted Greentree and several others after being discharged from the hospital following a surgical procedure that was more than I was prepared for. Not only was it a Sunday, but it was July 4th weekend. Getting a return call was a challenge, let alone lining up staffing for the following day. Jonna was at my son's home to interview us within 90 minutes. She toured the home and sat down and spoke with us to determine not just what our needs were but who would best fit them. I would describe the Greentree culture as "boutique". There were bigger organizations, that didn't have the same approach. They couldn't meet the staffing need in our timeframe anyway and I would have expected the opposite. Jessica was the caregiver and was there to do anything I was unable to do for myself and was tremendously helpful when my son returned to work. When I had to be suddenly readmitted to the hospital, Jonna was concerned for my well being above anything else and worked around the needs of my family and was extremely fair with the sudden cancellation of Jessica. I can't express how much I appreciated her handling of that development in the way she did and how it helped remove that concern and allow me to focus solely on healing. Her interaction continued throughout with follow up calls after to check on my recovery. My aging mother on the east coast has a full time caregiver who we all know due to the length of time she spends with her and the level of care. We do not know the owner or management. It's a corporation. It's fine and it works. Mine was a situational need and I found the perfect caregiver by pure luck. I hope this helps others to find what they need by sharing my experience. I called Green Tree when my grandmother broke her hip and was confined to her house. My mom was working two jobs and couldn't stay up all night with her. I couldn't have made a better decision! Linda is their Manager and she sent someone out right away. The caregiver who came out was Lupita and she was the most amazing caregiver I have met. My grandmother was quite particular about her things around her house and Lupita would take the greatest care to be careful. She was so calm and patient and my grandmother looked forward to her visits.
