While still able to get around with her walker, she needed assistance for many of her daily functions. As we are both in our late 70's, we determined that some in-home weekly assistance would be needed. Relying on Yelp reviews we contacted San Diego Home Caregivers and met with the owner Sterling Miles. It was clear from the start that finding the right caregiver and meeting all of Mom's needs was his top priority. He even gave us information on other options in case his services might not meet our needs. He is genuine in his concern and commitment to providing top level care. We could not have been more impressed when we met Mom's new caregiver Jasmine. Her cheerful, warm personality was a perfect fit, and Mom was immediately comfortable with her. She went out of her way to not only care for Mom but to also help us in any way she could. Unfortunately, by the end of January Mom was at the end stage of her life. Because she was so comfortable with Jasmine, we had her continue to come even though Mom also had Hospice care by that time. I dont want to single out the location that services my account....and I wont get specific either. Other than to say, if you hire them...have ground rules before their aides enter your house. They eat and take whatever they want and sleep through their shift. They're always fashionably late. The relationship with management isn't any better. The other thing that is worrisome is the feeling theyre spiraling out of control. Maybe it's the nature if the home care business but it always feels like they're one or two small crisises away from the wheels falling off.

Very disappointed with this service. We have used this company for caregivers for two different…read morehouseholds in our family. We had a caregiver that just tested positive for COVID and turns out this employee did not have her vaccine. This was a requirement of employment of the company and the professional protocol was why we put our trust and our family's safety in their hands. It is unclear to us whether this person lied or may have had a fraudulent card. We have very ill family members that may now be in jeopardy and younger family members that may also be at risk. Both households are now without caregivers because of this error and both households are now scrambling to reschedule everything. Story keeps changing but sounds like company did not verify claim she had vaccine. Employee was supposed to mask but did not. Cherry on top was when we told company they would need to provide COVID sanitization following the exposure and they said they didn't know anyone and made us call around to find the service ourselves while we are busy trying to find new caregivers, work, and care for the rest of the family affected by this huge mistake.
