I also ordered a diet Pepsi. The crispy wings were floating in about 2 inches of greasy sauce. The calzone was thin. I was expecting a full calzone with oozing mozzarella cheese, and lots of ricotta along with the pepperoni, spinach, black olive and ham. There was a little dollop of ricotta, and I have no idea where the mozzarella was. I think it was embedded in the soggy crust itself. Very very disappointing. I got a regular soda instead of the diet soda and there was no sauce on the side for the calzone. We ordered delivery (mid July) through their website to our Air BnB located in the middle of no where (Exmore, VA) and we received our food in no time. We ordered the Seafood Pizza which I can only describe as thick seafood chowder slathered on fluffy thick bread, Vegetarian Pizza, and a salad. Everything was delicious, hot, and super fresh. Two large pies and a salad would've been enough to feed 10 people. We ended up freezing half of each pie and taking them to NJ with us. The garlic knots were outstanding too! They have a tracking service to see when your food is on the way if you order online. The pizza is loaded, as are the steak sandwiches. BUT we've been OVERCHARGED a number of times in the past 6 weeks. When I called about a $33.39 charge on my card for 2 sandwiches and a piece of cake, he gave me a song and dance about covid jacking up his costs, causing him to raise his prices. I asked him to double check the prices and he quoted the figure I'd mentioned. He assured me this included the 10% senior discount. We picked up the new menu with an order, and the actual cost is $22.48. So instead of a senior discount, we got the SENIOR RIP OFF of charging us 30% more. His LIE is what bothers me the most. We chose Sunrise Pizza due to their proximity to the hotel and were not expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised by this place. Delicious Greek salad, fresh and full of veggies and excellent feta, tasty chicken wings full of flavor and piping hot, also ordered a salad with their delicious grilled chicken which had lovely spices and cooked perfectly. I think we have tried almost every pizza place between the tunnel and Chincoteague and this place was definitely my favorite. It was very hot with plenty of cheese. Not too bad on the price either. You just have to drive around it but it's a five minute job and it's been like that for years. But it just shows how much he cares. Now the pizza... truly the worst part of the business. Horrible place to eat and work. Isa has no respect for women or customers. I worked here twice and both times it was hell... Unsanitary is an understatement. Isa hires people that have stolen from him in the past and have even went to jail for it. Then when the registers are short (Wonder why!) He would make us give him our tips. If food wasn't picked up by a customer (Even with all the contact information right there, The person just chose not to answer the phone or pick up the food) We had to give our tips. The first time I worked for Sunrise I was the only cashier. I had both registers, the phones, the drive thru, Everything besides kitchen work was my responsibility. I handled it well, it was just stressful. I quit because of a family related issue. He allowed me to come back and work (I didn't have a car at the time and this unfortunately was the closest place that I knew would hire me) The second time there was some new people. Two girls I absolutely adored. Then we had a new "Assistant manager" and a new delivery driver. Both used to work for him before and both were known to steal and lie. But! He let them work anyways. The assistant manager had her register and I had mine but everyone (Delivery drivers included) were always using the registers even after being told not to. Money started going missing and the tips me and the assistant manager made would have to go to putting the "missing" money back in the register. Someone was caught stealing and they were not fired. Yet, I didn't clean a window to Isa's liking and he would yell at me and say if I mess up again I'm fired. I had enough. I was losing money everyday because of incompetent people. Workers were dealing drugs on the property and that's fine. But someone actually doing her job? Nope. Harass her everyday. I finally had enough and quit. I left a review of the place on Facebook out of anger before I had gotten my last paycheck and the assistant manager said if it wasn't removed they weren't going to pay me. I called the Exmore police department, And a family member and little Isa did pay me. But of course he didn't have a paystub for me. Would I recommend the food? Eh. To an extent. I loved the cheesesteaks, Crab soup, and blackened chicken salad. But I also know there used to be some feet washing in the back so... Yeah. Ew. If you're looking for friendly customer service HAHA. Horrible!! They have messed my order up over 4 times. This is the 4th time and has sent me over the edge! I used to eat here regularly. Plenty of specials and acceptable prices for lunch. Then things started going down hill in a BIG way. I noticed they didn't keep the place as clean as they used to. My orders started coming out wrong (missing items, wrong items, improperly cooked, etc.). The last time I ate there I ordered the Baked Italian Trio (Manicotti, Ravioli and Stuffed Shells). On our way home from Florida we stayed in Exmore, Va. We ordered dinner from the Sunrise Pizzeria. For an appetizer we had the crab balls. They were delicious and plentiful. They were full of crab meat. My husband had the cheese steak with fried onions and mushrooms. It was huge and also delicious. I had the chicken scampi over pasta. Amazing!!!
