The guy at the register was great, very nice, working his ass off taking orders for food and cash from people buying gas. So was the older lady who cooked and delivered our food. Basic manners are optional, but political screening is not. They made fun of gay people and told a joke about a preacher and a "colored person." If you're not a part of the political party that does that, they'll say that you aren't welcome. I was polite, as I was alone, but I did say, "I will be sitting over here the whole time," the 5th time I was asked to sit in the city council member's booth. One of the woman said, "he's not a pervert, he just plays the part." I did like her but If my husband had gone instead of me the comments would have been different. They might think they were friendly or charming but actually most people would find these comments intrusive and uncomfortable. The bakery isn't responsible for every customer who walks through the door, but if this behavior is common, then it becomes part of the customer experience. I was antsy to get my food and leave... Just a mom grabbing breakfast for my family at 6:45am. They have good food and reasonable prices. The server there was wonderful and so was the man pouring coffee. It's just that some of the patrons act like they don't have mothers, daughters, or decency.

Traveling down the road the coffee cup collapsed and coffee went all over me and the car. I fortunately was able to pull over immediately and get my shirt off and clean up what I could on me and in the car. When I looked at what was left in the partially crumpled cup it looked like sludge. Had I not been so far down the road I would have gone back and asked why the coffee looked like sludge. I'm very careful picking up any paper cup with coffee but this one was definitely defective. I'll just say my real concern is coffee sludge! What the hell is it. Do to traveling I did not get to clean myself off very well and developed a nasty rash which I am just getting over now maybe 12 days later. Can't prove the coffee sludge caused it but it is certainly suspect.

The coffee is roasted in a cute little shop in a food truck square nearby. The girls at the window were amazing. Also, there is also the Blue Tick Acai in this same location. The bowls are HUGE and quite frankly, everything you could ever hope for. Cold on a hot day, loaded with fruit, and piled high with toppings. Not only is the coffee legit, the bakery section is popping. Croissant any thing has always been the trick. But. BUT. During my last visit I just needed a bite of pure sugar. Y'all!! The brown sugar coffee. I bit up the whole thing. Not even embarrassed and don't feel bad. Totally worth it. Highly recommended spot for coffee a bit and friendly people.
