So when my new super fan and all around cool chick Emily O. turned me on to FREE perks by 7 Eleven by using their app I was all over it. It's true that I have been living at 7-11 even more than usual for FREE Slurpee's and Big Gulp's. The store is located West of the city on Jefferson Ave and beside Midtown Aquatic where I frequent for swim meets. Upon pulling in I could tell it was a new place and that always excites me. The pump area large and the concrete are since new was unstained with the usual oil/grease mixture at gas stations. I did not utilize the gas on this visit but it looked free of debris. The place was hopping and I was there for a Big Gulp take down. The area around the drink station was a little messier than I would like with lids out on the counter. It was pretty nuts with the promotion so I am being somewhat forgiving. Overall the store was clean and presented well. When approaching the counter the hot food items looks good to me. I love their large pizza deal for under $6.00. Hot dogs smelled good too. The line was moving nicely and staff was friendly. When pulling up the app it crashed and learned from the cashier Tammy that this had been happening all day. So, I backed up and gave it time to reload, but it would not come up again. After around a minute I went back to the counter and Tammy said no worries your good to go, it's our problem and not your fault. Overall I like this chain, great coffee, packaged sandwiches and usually fast friendly service. Understand they are not all created equal, this an above average location in my opinion. Since they are close to on every corner when you find an excellent one hit them up. I did twice just this weekend. If you have yet to download the 7 Eleven app for FREE perks there is no time like the present.

The thing with 7-11 later on was their coffee, they had the best coffee, it was fresh and flavorful. Not so anymore, they have taken out the coffee pots and began using plastic dispensers, in other words NO MORE FRESH coffee just that stale ole bitter left over crap. I have bought my last cup of coffee today mainly bc after I finished my bitter 4&& coffee I saw black flakes in the bottom of my cup. That tells me they ain't cleaning the dispensers properly and often enough.

I love the consistent attention to detail because I get their custom build your own breakfast sandwich and they always include everything I order. In Hampton roads, this is rare to me, because any other fast food place would be the opposite and almost always mess up my custom order or even just a regular order from their menu. I'm very appreciative of the workers here. They're always busy but still push orders out in a timely manner. The cashiers are very aware of their surroundings and are good at keeping up with their store duties and hopping onto the cash register to help one another out when the line is getting long. They have the most dysfunctional app I have ever used. After wasting my time, I finally went to Domino's app. Within two minutes my order was placed and I was eating Within fifteen minutes. I looked at wawa reviews and these issues are nothing new, almost all of them mentioned all the same problems I encountered and wawa seems disinterested in fixing their app. There are plenty of other places to eat and spend my money. It's simply unbelievable to me.
