Shoutout to our local community heroes!!! This is a cute little stop for my road trip essentials…read morelike gas, snacks, and a conversation! A sweetheart of a lady is in charge today. She was welcoming, warm, and friendly. She even welcomed the big snowflakes coming down during this Lake effect storm. She made my hubby a wonderful Italian sub sandwich with mayonnaise and Italian dressing. It was good and gone in a snap! Devoured! The menu was very extensive for such a tiny venue. Pizza, fries, subs, milkshakes, and more. Grant it that this same sweet lady was the orchestrator of this one man band. It was nice to see all the other patrons coming in after us were patient, understanding, and accommodating while she finished up our sub. I found a lot of cool snacks. And I feel in love with a thing called an ole school cornflake chewy! It's like a 1000 better than a rice crispy treat! Where have these been all my life!!! Peanut butter perfection with the perfect chew! I loved this little venue and the people who made this a great stop!!

It's easy to miss little towns like Shade Gap or Shirleysburg when making the drive from the…read moreTurnpike exit (180) at Fort Littleton to Huntington, but when our little guy announced he needed to go potty, you better believe we started looking around for anything that could have had a bathroom. Having driven this road hundreds of times over the course of my life, I knew there was a gas station in this spot, but I'd never needed to stop. That said, I had the pleasant surprise of meeting "THEE Store" today, aptly named because there aren't really any other stores for miles. We stopped along the road (not much of a parking lot) and went inside. I didn't see a bathroom, so I asked the guy behind the counter and he said I could use the bathroom in the back. Keep in mind, this is a small country gas station, so the images that came to mind when offered a "bathroom in the back" were pretty gross. I couldn't have been more wrong - it was really nice and well kept. I say this because this was my reaction to Thee Store overall - I thought it would be dirty and unpleasant, but I couldn't have been more wrong. It was clean, the employee was very nice, and they had a lot of snacks and drinks (just like any convenience store you'd find in a more populated area). If you're ever driving along Route 522 and need a place for a break, THEE Store is a nice wayspot to stop!

SHEETZ!!! What can you say about a SHEETZ?…read more Well this W#%A girl has something to say. I absolutely love it when I get about 45 miles outside of the city of Philadelphia because I can go to a Sheetz. Yes they may never be able to overrun their Philadelphia competition in sandwiches but When when it comes to the way the pumps are set up to get gas, and the way it is set up inside for drinks and ordering it's far superior to the other store's setup. Unlike their Philadelphia competition they have plenty of parking around the store so people tend to get their gas and then move to a parking spot when they want to enter the store to buy things. They don't leave their cars at the pumps for 15 minutes. This is more efficient for people who just want to come in and get gas. In and out. The employees here are friendlier and more helpful because it looks like they are treated better. I've had personal experience with this and thus A valid opinion because I've had a niece and a nephew work for Sheetz and I never once heard a complaint out of them. This particular location is like Animal House when college is in session. It can be extremely busy with cars going here and there, eight people at a time entering and leaving the store. And the store does a good thing handling it during these epic times. I was lucky enough to come here during the pandemic at 2 o'clock in the afternoon when college was not in session So I got to see a lot of the property and inside the store. It's clean and well-managed. Gas prices tend to run the same as others in the Vicinity.

Sheetz is great, wish they were in the Philadelphia area so I could visit more frequently…read more This sheets had a walk in cooler with beer , inside & outside seating and it was huge. I have been one that thinks sheetz is superior to wawa, an ongoing argument, but after this visit I may swing my vote back to wawa. I couldn't find breakfast bowls or hoagie bowls on their ordering screen. I couldn't believe they wouldn't have these items and maybe I was just not familiar with their ordering system , but I really looked for these options. Have to be really impressed with sheetz but the new wawa's in Florida are just like the sheetz with seating and walk in coolers. I love wawa but enjoy cheating with sheetz whenever I get the opportunity.
