However, once I started pumping gas (after inserting my FuelRewards and GasBuddy card at the pay-at-the-pump location), I felt like this station was pumping too slow. I felt like saying "Does anybody have a pillow, while I pump?" standing there waiting for the gas to fill - a mere problem in your pumps that I'm still wondering what happened to them when I came in here the other night. But I got what I paid for, although it felt like it took forever to pump out $28 dollars (at just over 15 minutes worth of filling (because I was watching my watch)). I almost complained inside, but it was night and I know this station better then how I found it.

Their cash gas price is very competitive. However, their credit price, 10 cents a gallon more, is slightly more expensive than gas at the stations on Route 9, but still much less expensive than the station up the road in East Park. The pumps are very easy to use and very well maintained. I think they have a small set of convenience options inside, but I'm not sure how much, because I didn't go in, and it's pretty small. They evidently do NYS inspections here, as there is a sign over the garage. But one of the bays was open and completely filled with cases of soda, juices, and other beverages.

The convenience store section carries the usual selection of food and sundries one expects at such an establishment. If one needs a fill-up, pit-stop and/or a travel necessity; this location is a solid option.

There's very little change to this Hess-turned-Speedway apart from the business logo change and the…read morecolor of the convenience mart exterior. The gas prices are still reasonably competitive with the Stewart's just down the street. The funny thing is, this place has been a Speedway now for about 6 months, and as you drive south along Route 9, you will see that the north-facing side of the road sign (the one you'd see while driving south) still says Hess.

The parking lot has a decent size to fit enough cars, though, there are no lines drawn to park exactly, which I find to be no issue, considering there's enough space all around. Everything inside looks pretty well stocked with snacks, drinks, and even coffee to make while on the go. Little cramped inside when moving around, so do take caution. Customer service at this Valero is great, as they're friendly and pretty outgoing to start a conversation with you especially if you're a regular. Can't emphasize enough, we need more of that everywhere.

This Mobil gas station has been here for as long as I can remember, although, many years ago, it…read morenever had a name on a big sign with the gas prices on it, which was fixed several years back (well needed). It's a small station, with some space to move around inside containing snacks, drinks (which includes getting coffee), car auto parts such as windshield water fluid, etc. There are four pumps at this Mobil which can get congested on given occasions, so do have the patience of waiting for your turn to open. Pulling in and out can be a bit risky, especially with the small road coming to 44, which can cause a bit of traffic. Overall, this Mobil has it together.

We also each got a kiddie cone. I got the cookies n cream and he got the black raspberry. I really liked the black raspberry (he loved it). I don't think the scoops were cleaned off well before scooping though because my cookies n cream tasted so minty. I really don't love mint flavored ice cream so it was a little disappointing. Once I got through the mint layer it was fine. Overall pretty good experience though!

If you price gas by brand, this station and the one in the village of Highland on 44/55 go back and…read moreforth as to which as the better price. It will typically be better than in Dutchess County and maybe still a little higher than in Kingston. This one is fairly convenient with a decent sized mart. I don't know why, but frequently when I'm here, there will be liquid spills on the concrete around the pumps... gas, oil, antifreeze. It's more likely the result of customers than the staff, but I still double check when I'm here to avoid bringing the liquid and the smell back into my car.
