I suspected it was something related to the exhaust, and the team got me in within about 15 minutes to begin an inspection. They quickly identified two issues, explained everything clearly, and provided a fair, honest quote with no pressure. The repair only took about 40 minutes, and the time went by even faster thanks to the friendly conversation I had with the owner's daughter while I waited. This was only my second visit in the past five years, and I'm happy to say the level of service is just as great as I remembered. Fast, professional, honest, and welcoming--it's easy to see why they've earned such a strong reputation. I highly recommend Lou's Custom Exhaust to anyone looking for quality work and excellent customer service.

I took my car to Lamberts today, after hearing a very scary sounding noise from the front end of my…read moreSUV. Thinking I was in the hole to the tune of maybe $1000 or more for some extensive front end work, I wondered, where do I take it? We never have automotive repairs. So I decided to head to Lamberts, after hearing a few other people recommend them. When they called the following day to let me know the damage, and the cost, I was prepared for the worst. The owner, Larry, told me the news: $260. I needed a new wheel bearing on the left front end. I said, is that it? Then I quickly corrected myself, adding, is that all that's wrong with it? He said yes, that's all that's wrong with it. Getting the car back was easy, and I am pleased to report it runs fine now. Larry and company could have taken me for hundreds more - but they didn't. This is a first class shop and more importantly, they are trustworthy. They will service all of our cars from now on.

A $100.00 well spent on both Vehicle assessments I thought (50.00 ea). I recently moved to Brockton and found Sunny's looking for a local mechanic that was Affordable in the Brockton Area. Andy the guy that runs the place was highly recommended from a few people that worked at the High School. At first it was straight forward, when I brought it in to replace the 2 rear brakes. That was until Andy took a look at it. What I like best and the several other times I have gone to this auto repair shop, is that he brings you into the Bay and without making you feel dumb (I know nothing about cars), he points out the issue and walks you through each problem, and the different resolutions and various costs along with timelines so that your informed of the potential issues that can come up. He found over 13 potential issues, some of which were concerning and I felt that I should return the car then get it repaired. He even got on the phone with the dealership and explained the issues as I debated on returning it. If your looking for an inexpensive mechanic (his labor was $20.00 less than my previous mechanic in Marlborough) and someone that won't sell you on heavily priced items (they give you pricing options if available) they can help keep your car on the road affordably. He has since been my go to as I drive for Uber and Lyft part time at night. As a veteran and a technical consultant I have met all types of people, But this guy is probably one of the nicest people I have ever met and I am honored to have met him and his team as they help me stay on the road to make money.

Thank you, thank you, Julian, for reminding me of a long overdue review of Muffler Man!…read more When I say long overdue, I mean it. Probably 2000 or 2001 I took my minuscule Ford Aspire to my (trusted) mechanic at my local garage. He put it on the lift and diagnosed a rusting pipe, leading to a rusting catalytic converter. He said he had to replace both. The pipe wasn't going to be an issue, but the converter wasn't available aftermarket, and he'd have to get it from Ford. If you've ever seen a Ford Aspire (similar to a Focus hatchback) you know that they're a 3/4 scale replica of a real car, with tiny little pieces that you could swap out with Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars. So why in God's green Earth are the parts so damn expensive? Ford wanted $475 for that little fist-sized chunk of metal, and that was my mechanic's cost! Between the catalytic converter, the pipe, and the (drastically reduced) labor, I was looking at a minimum of $600. And let's face it, I was driving a Ford Aspire, so I obviously didn't have extra money falling out of my arse. Knowing my precarious financial position, my mechanic gave me a business card and suggested seeing if Muffler Man could help me out. My mechanic always has a used car or two for sale at his gas station and had used them in the past. Yeah, it's Montello St, Brockton. No getting around that. One garage bay (that I saw) lined on all sides with hanging metal. I told the gentleman (forgot his name and lost the card long ago) what my mechanic had told me and left them to it while I went to breakfast with a friend. Two hours later (and expecting the worst) I returned to find the car parked on the street. I go in and the guy presents me with the bill; $45. Are you kidding me? He apparently had enough material to work with and had replaced the pipe and patched/welded the converter. I owned the car for another two years after that and never had an issue with the converter. I don't know if it's still the same owner or staff, but I've referred a ton of people there over the years. I've never had any negative feedback, only gushing stories like my own.
