This is the worst place I've ever been to. My brother fell off the running horse and was dragged for a good 30 seconds before my mom was able grab my brother and save him because the staff was too busy going " oh not again. "The staff's biggest concern that my mom was scaring the horse because she was screaming for her son's life. Way to categorize priorities. The biggest reason for this was the mistreatment of the horses, which was evident just by the sight of these poor creatures. There wasn't even a stable. I would call that false advertisement. Afterwards, the actually had the guts to charge us for the ride. If ever you'd like to pay to know what it feels like to lose your brother, this isn't even the best place for that. It would be safer to break into a zoo and jump on a horse. And a better experience. Also, the horse could be seen running free in the woods, so don't even ask me what that was about. I feel like giving one star is very generous. If I wasn't so young I would have brough them to court. read more

My sister and I went to Sunny Stables and we had the worst experience EVER. My sister feel off her horse while the horses were running out of control. The guide did not do anything, and didn't seem to care when one of his costumers had falling off her horse. We were in a group of about 5 people and besides my sister falling off there was a man that was on a horse that was completely un-suitable for any rider, his bridal broke right in half and feel of the horses head, so the rider had no control what so ever.. Worst place I ever seen in my life ! I do horse riding for more than 20 years. We was a large group and booked a horse back riding of an hour. When we arrived nobody was there, except a skiny horse in a tiny plot. And the place was... well not what you can expect ! We saw the group before us arrived across a field so muddy that the horses was really in trouble ! The horses was ALL skinny with not enough food for all in the plot. And we quickly understood that this small group of horses (not more than 10) was doing 3 riding (maybe more) with no more rest than 10 min. One of them is 30 years old !!! It's unbelievable and unacceptable to use a horse of 30 yo !!! We decided together to not ride. But when we told that to the owner... He became MAD !!!! Telling us that we have to pay everything. He closed the gate and seated in front !!!! No way to get out, trapped, it was so scaring !!! The discussion lasted about 45min. We had no choice to pay everything to get back our freedom. The receipt he gave us was a piece of blankpaper where he wrote with a pen... We called the police. Never go there ! Stay far away from Sunny Stables 2243 Saint Louis Saint-Lazare Québec! La pire place que j'ai vu de ma vie ! Et je monte à cheval depuis plus de 20 ans. Quand notre groupe est arrivé il n'y avait personne sauf un cheval assez maigre dans un petit paddock. Et la place était très loin d'un centre équestre ou un ranch... Nous avons vu arrivé le groupe avant nous à travers un champs complètement boueux en arrière du bâtiment, les chevaux avaient énormément de difficulté à le traverser ! Ils étaient tous maigres, il n'y avait pas assez de nourriture dans leur enclos pour tous. On a vite compris que ce petit groupe de chevaux étaient les seuls et donc qu'ils enchaînaient toutes les randonnées ! L'un d'eux a 30 ANS d'après le propriétaire ! 3O ANS, c'est inacceptable de faire travailler un cheval aussi vieux !!! Nous avons décidé de ne pas faire la balade. Et quand nous lui avons dit... il est devenu fou !!! Il a fermé le portail et s'est assis devant ! Je n'ai jamais vu ça !!! Sans issue, coincés là, c'était vraiment effrayant. Après 45 min de discussion nous avons tout payé pour récupérer notre liberté. Le reçu qu'il nous a donné après avoir insisté, c'est un bout de papier blanc où il a écrit au stylo... It has taken me a while before coming here and making a comment. I would never, EVER recommend this place. This is where I have lived the scare of my life. The horses were nervous, one was very agitated. It started running wildly. I was on it's back and fell off. My 10 year old boy was on the horse in front of me and his started running. He fell off and was dragged by the foot, I screamed because I was horrified by the sight. I ran after the horse and grabbed my son. He had blanked out. I was then told by the staff that I shouldn't have screamed, it had made the horses nervous!! What a lack of sensitivity. Those poor animals seemed so stressed out. My son was mildly hurt but it could have been a catastrophy. I despise and hated my experience. Anyone that sees their son dangling upside down with his head bumping on the ground would have screamed. And then I was told this never happens... maybe, but it happened to us. And because of this horrible experience, my son is terrified of horses. read more
