Try this great little breakfast place! Cute decor, super friendly staff (and close to the casino's if you spent a night there and were looking for a good local breakfast option) I had wonderfully crispy bacon and sweet cream pancakes. They were fluffy and delicious (though a little sweeter than my usual taste) My husband had the meat lovers omelette and he said it was amazing. Coffee was hot and frequently refilled if needed Would recommend if you are in the area!

This is my third time here. Staff is very friendly. Family owned and you feel the love and quality. I came with a small group of friends for breakfast. We stayed for 2 hours. The coffee was a bit on the watery side for everyone on the table. I like mine light but I had to admit it was too light which I think is ok if they offer the ability to make it stronger or add an expresso shot. We asked and no options available. They do give lots of coffee thought. We asked about Gluten free options and only toast was available. Not terrible but the person in our group was limited. Still have to say what we ordered was good and Kaydance did a pretty good job taking care of us. I will definitely come back.

This is an enjoyable diner with lots of seating and friendly service. They have large windows and a wide open layout to really maximize the sunny aspect of the name. I tried the kielbasa Benedict and some biscuits and gravy because the prices were reasonable enough to do so. I found the Benedict to be great, smooth hollandaise, perfectly poached egg, and the kielbasa was essentially a steak it was so thick. I thought the home fries were a bit over seasoned, so I didn't eat much of them. The biscuits and gravy were a large portion, but I found the gravy too peppery to be edible. I had mine with the eggs poached too. Despite mixing the yolk through the gravy, even that couldn't make it edible. Lastly, the coffee cup was gigantic, like they know people want real amounts of coffee. I imagine this cuts down on the number of refills the staff has to provide, freeing them up to do other things with their time. Overall, worth a visit if you're in the area. One note, the jukebox defaults to country, but you can change it if that's not to your liking.

Exterior/Interior Appearance: Looks a bit dated inside and out, Ambiance: Has a nice local atmosphere to it, without the dreaded 'everybody turning to stare at you' feature! Seems people were enjoying their food and convos. Service: Walked in and not a minute later I was seated.. Sweet! Server came right over and asked if I would like a beverage to start, and I went with a black coffee. Server was super friendly and it seems all the servers and staff were outgoing and all had positive attitudes. Honestly couldn't have asked for better service from a small local diner. Food: Went with the Three eggs, two slices toast, and hash browns... absolutely slapping! Eggs were cooked just right, toast had just the right amount of crisp and butter lovin', and the hash brown were the icing on the cake! By the way coffee hit the spot! Overall: Highly recommended giving this place a shot

I got a little saucy last night and was in need for some breakfast. Let me tell you this place did not miss. By far some of the best breakfast food I've had in a long time. Owners are present and it looked like everyone around was enjoying themselves. Do yourself a favor and order the Kielbasa Benedict. You will not be disappointed! Staff was very welcoming and very attentive. It's most certainly good vibes in there and I will be back next time I am in town!

The place is OK. All the people are very friendly. The area isn't too bad of a area so you don't have to worry about a lot of traffic and and what not. Me and my girl went there for breakfast. I got the steak home fries, eggs, corn, bread, coffee, and some water. It's was okay. Online for the steak said it was like $12 it ended up being $15.99 and you have to asked them for it because it's not on the in-house menus. I give them 3.5 Stars!! Thanks guys for a great morning breakfast.

It is an unassuming building on the side of the road, in the middle of a neighborhood. It is about 10 minutes south of Mohegan Sun. Donatello's With A Twist definitely offers a twist! They serve a wide variety of options: American breakfast, sandwiches & burgers, Puerto Rican dishes & Italian fare. Hubby enjoyed playing the free Pac-Man video game as we waited for our food. There are a couple of seats inside & a little garden outside. Most people took their food to go. There are 7 - YAAASSSSS SEVEN! - mofongo options on the menu. Ummm... yes, please! For the uninitiated, mofongo is a dish from Puerto Rico featuring plantains as its main ingredient. They are picked green, cut into pieces & typically fried, then pounded in a wooden pilón (mortar and pestle) with a variety of spices, broth & some type of cooking oil . If you are a fan of Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives, you know that he is a mofongo freak. I've had mofongo before & definitely enjoy it, hubby was new to the experience. We selected the Shrimp Creole Mofongo & it was spectacular. We heard the pounding of the plantains in the back as we waited for our food so I knew it was being made special for us. The mound of mofongo was flavorful, the shrimp were large & perfectly cooked in a spicy red sauce with a little salad on the side to cool things off. We also ordered the Chicharron De Pollo with Tostones. I thought it was going to be a harder fry on the chicken but the dark meat was yummi. The tostones were perfectly fried & the highlight of this dish. Hubby can't pass up a steak sandwich so he ordered a large Boricua Steak Bomb. HOLY COW! The sandwich was ginormous!!! A ton of steak with a good amount of melty cheese topped with a spicy sauce. Hubby loved it! I saw a guy order a slab of meat & I went up afterwards to inquire what it was. A perfectly fried chicharrón - fried pork belly. It was a good combination of meat, fat & crunchy bits. As a German, I was introduced to grilled schweinebauch as a kid. It is not everyone's cup of tea because of the fat content & idea of eating pig's stomach but I love it. I should have bought another one to take with me for later! Donatello's makes a number of fresh juices & we ordered the passionfruit which was a refreshingly sweet & sour combo. They also sell desserts but we were so full that I didn't even look to see what was offered. If you are in the area, I would recommend stopping by Donatello's With A Twist to try some of their special dishes. It is a celebration of flavor & culture!

On a hot day, the restaurant was nice and cool, and very clean. Our server, Brandi, was so kind and funny. She was attentive and came back to make sure we were satisfied. Out of the menu, we ordered clam chowder, El Captain on fireside bread, the Cheeseburger quesadilla, the High Point, chicken tenders, kids cheese pizza, and fries. LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE FRIES. Unlike any fries I've had before. Like a fat crispy version of a curly fry. Soft and fluffy on the inside, nicely crisp and you could tell the oil was clean. We ordered extra fries to go. The clam chowder was good, but different. A little grainy with what tasted like basil. But it was loaded with clams and the portion was generous. My kids were really happy with the pizza and tenders. Again, everything tasted fresh. The cheeseburger quesadilla was soooo good with mushrooms, onions, and the sauce on top. Tortilla was still crispy despite the sauce. The chicken sandwiches were good. Not the highlight of the table but the fireside bread it was on was delicious. I think everything else at the table was so full of flavor, they just didn't shine. But nonetheless very satisfying and the chicken was cooked perfectly. My kids said they would drive the hour just to eat here again. I don't disagree!

Their sandwich lineup is the standout: fresh bread with real structure, generous fillings, and combos that show someone in the kitchen actually cares about balance. Whether you go classic or try one of their more creative builds, it's consistently satisfying. The coffee program deserves its own shoutout. Smooth pours, well-textured lattes, and drinks that come out tasting intentional--not rushed, not burnt, not watery. It's the type of place where you order a second coffee because the first one was genuinely that good. Now, the caveats--the ones Yelp Elites always clock. The line can be a patience test, especially during peak hours. The café is cozy (read: small), and the limited seating means you're often strategizing where you'll actually sit before you even order. And while the food and drinks are absolutely worth talking about, the tab climbs fast. It's surprisingly easy to cross the $50+ mark for a couple coffees and a few sandwiches, which feels steep for a casual café experience. Still, Lucille's delivers on flavor, consistency, and quality. If they can ease the congestion and rethink the price-to-portion ratio just a bit, they'd be flirting with five-star territory. For now, it's a strong four stars--a local gem with room to shine even brighter. Cheers
