we were walking around in pikes place market after our chef tour, and saw this cute little stall selling honey sticks. Although we have had honey sticks before it was really interesting to me that this particular business sold different flavors i.e. caramel honey, pineapple honey etc. The lady was super nice, and we cut it open as soon as we got back to our hotel. It was really fun trying to figure out which stick was which flavor and overall it was absolutely delicious!! While browsing the lovely specialty shops at Pikes Place, Sunny Honey was one of the shops that stood out to me. I love organic honey and the girl working there was so sweet. She was very friendly and she offered me a variety of honey to sample. I was specifically interested in the Maple Honey sticks ($5/bag) and I was going to buy them anyways, but she was still sweet enough to offer me some maple syrup to sample to make sure that I would like it. It the perfect amount of natural sweetness I would like to incorporate into my morning tea so I bought a bag of Maple Honey sticks. While I was there I also saw some organic honey balms so my eyes immediately searched for a chapstick. The weather in Seattle is a bit harsh for my lips so I wanted to make sure that I kept my lips moisturized. They carried a Handmade Beeswax Lipbalm ($3) with Peppermint and Vitamin E. It was exactly what my lips needed to endure Seattle weather. I actually had cash with me since I was traveling but if you do not, they accept credit cards for purchases above $3. I feel like that is reasonable enough. Sunny Honey is a business I can see myself frequenting if I was a local... especially during the cold seasons when I enjoy hot tea daily. read more

CUTE PLACE! I found this place hidden in Pike Place while visiting and it was worth the stop to try out their honey. For $5 per 3oz, it is on the expensive side BUT it is worth bringing it back home if you're a tourist at least once. I got the Blackberry Blossom Honey which was recommended me by the person who was running the store. It had a hint of blackberry taste in it but it was still sweet as honey. Super cute honey store with the friendliest staff! Their honeysticks are oh-so good but what really blew me away was their Rose Gold scented soap. After smelling it, my boyfriend and I bought 2 large sizes without hesitation--it smells like pure Heaven, is BEAUTIFULLY crafted, and of incredible quality. After getting home from vacation we were already finished with one and wanted more but couldn't remember the name of the soap! I am a huge fan of honey stick. When i saw this inside pike place, I was in candy land!!!! This is a small specialty store that sells every thing HONEY!!! You can mix & match your honey sticks. They have over 10 different flavors. I got a pack of the nature honey stick for my trip, they are such a good pick me up snack. Nothing better than some good old fashioned honey! The bees like it so we should too! I imagine bees are either excited or horrified by this place - hard to say what the reaction would be, but either way it'd be an intense emotion! Located just to the left of the main entrance to the market, across from daily donuts, This is a perfect place to get your sweet tooth filled with a small flavored honey straw for a quarter or get yourself in a larger something to go. The straws or something like $.25, and we have become a fan favorite every time we go to the market.They've got plenty of different varieties and are more than happy to do chat about whatt they offer. Lots of the honey comes from local sources, which is basically local flowers, but it's amazing how different things taste based on small variables. One of the most ingenious things they do here is cell jars of honey that are exactly 3 ounces, the limit to what you can take in a carry-on bag on an airplane. Got a love when capitalism helps you take honey from the north left coast anywhere in the world! As with most of the Artisan businesses within Seattle, things are a bit on the expensive side, but it actually isn't much worse than what you would find it most farmers markets. They say the economic impact of honeybees is over $1 trillion per year... While this place probably doesn't generate that sort of cash, you should definitely support them as they've got some delicious honey! read more

I think this place is completely underrated, especially since they have such a prime location. Maybe it's because the crowds tend to gather in front of the Pike Place fish toss? Regardless, this store is awesome! I love trying different styles and flavors of honey. They have everything from larger bottles, to carry on friendly, to honeycombs and sticks to nibble on the road. The staff is really nice and patient despite the growing crowds as the Seattle sunshine makes an appearance. I suggest buying a honeycomb and then getting a little lavender honey to take home! read more

Love love love this lil shop. I went to Pike Place to visit a friend working at Don & Joe's Meats right nearby. The adorable honey shop caught my eye while there so I had to take a peak in. The woman there was just over the top friendly and welcoming and answered questions about all the topical beeswax products that I had. She gave great recommendations for products I hadn't heard of. I also grabbed some honey sticks (YUM) and do not regret getting so many of them to treat myself to throughout the week. The flavored ones are fun, but I recommend the more basic ones since the pure honey flavor is delightful. read more

I happened upon Sunny Honey while checking out Pike Place Market. I bought a small jar of the Raspberry Blossom honey, the Bee-O Stinger Bee-odorant, and the Beeswax Lip Balm. I LOVE each of these products! I've tried every brand of natural deodorant, and mid-day all of them leave me a little "fragrant." Not the Bee-o Stinger! It's made of beeswax and oils, so it's a little heavier than other deodorants. I overdid it the first time. But it actually works- I smell good all day long with it. I'm praying they ship across country. The lip balm is great, keeps my lips feeling moist. And today I cracked open the jar of honey, and it blew me away! It's not raspberry flavored, that's just the fruit that grew near the hive. It is so creamy and perfectly sweet. I ate a spoonful by itself. And I will do it again. I want to live on this honey. They must ship, or I will weep! So, yeah, I'm a big fan of this company!!! read more

Sunny Honey Company has been my all time favorite place - they have a variety of lovely honey flavors (I'm pretty sure I've tried them all and I love all the different flavors for so many reasons!) and their beautiful soaps - literally have never found something that smells that amazing! Of their products, the raspberry blossom honey was my favorite. It's so smooth and has such a nice aroma to it. I'm planning to add it to some baked goods as a light sweetener. It's also really tasty on it's own! In addition to jars of honey (both raspberry blossom and blackberry blossom) in a variety of sizes, they also sell small honey combs (recommended as a nice addition to a cheese, fruit and cracker platter--I'll have to try that), honey sticks, lip balm, seasonal waxed candles, and more. Their pumpkin candle smelled so divine! I think I'll be back for a nice, natural house-warming gift. One of my favorite stalls in the Market. I particularly love their raspberry blossom honey. It is divine, though the blackberry blossom honey is almost as good. Lots of good ointments as well as lotion and soaps. I would definitely recommend stopping here and hopefully buying one of their cute bear jars full of raspberry blossom honey. read more

This honey is the best I've ever had! I really can't get over how good it is. I use it in cooking and baking. Honey simple syrup for cocktails is incredible to. Do yourself a favor and run to get the coriander blossom before it's gone. The cinnamon creamed honey is great in tea or on toast. read more

The cashier was beyond helpful. So many different selections of honeys and syrups. I also saw a body balm that I picked up because the cold weather has been brutal on my skin. I used it on my face and didn't have to reapply at all for the entire day. I used it as a Chapstick and didn't have to reapply nearly as much as I usually do. It could easily be overlooked, especially with all that's going on there, but STOP HERE and get a honey sample. It was delicious. This has to be the worst honey I've ever had. I've tasted fresh raw honey and this is a scam. Their "honeycomb" is simply a fake wax mold, this is not real honeycomb. They are a scam at 25 DOLLARS for ONE jar. What a joke. Tastes like they put honey bear honey inside each jar. read more

I used to buy "Sunny Honey" from Anne, the company's owner, at the Bellevue Farmers Market in Downtown Bellevue back in 2014. It was the very best and tastiest honey I EVER tried! I especially loved the more liquid varieties - the Blackberry Blossom Honey, the Raspberry Blossom Honey, & the Fireweed Blossom Honey. They were AWESOME. I bought 12 (twelve) 16oz jars from Anne and enjoyed them until the summer of 2015. Then, when the Bellevue Farmers Market started on June 6th, 2015, I discovered that Anne did NOT show up. I sent her an E-mail and she said she had decided NOT to return to Bellevue this year. As an alternative, she suggested I should pay a visit to the Mercer Island Farmers Market on Sundays and so I did. To my major disappointment, the varieties of honey offered by Anne at the Mercer Island Farmers Market looked and tasted OLD, like they were from several years back. Heavily crystallized and the taste was NOT up to my liking. I tried the Buckwheat Blossom, the Moses Lake Wildflower, and the Sweet Clover varieties. It is amazing, but the FRESH honey varieties I purchased from Anne back in 2014 did NOT develop ANY crystallization WHATSOEVER in over a year, which is why I cannot even imagine how ancient the crystallized honey I purchased from her in 2015 must have been. Therefore, I am giving her 3 (three) stars. There is certainly room for improvement. read more

I'm from Westlake, OH. I was visiting my daughter and she took me to Pikes Place Market. By chance we we found this gem of a store. My daughter had bought some before and said it was real good. Take her word for it, as I trust her. I bought a $6 jar of honey. Brought it home with me to Ohio before I tried. Words can not discribe the taste. I have bought so expense honey but nothing compares to this. Unfiltered and unpasteurized. Can it get more natural than that. I was so taken with it I put an order in for 6 more jars.
