That's not the whole reason I've stayed with them, though. Once, when Won noticed that I had walked to the shop and would go back home carrying a week's worth of clothes, he put a "back in 5 minutes" sign on the door and drove me back to my apartment. They dry cleaned my winter down jacket (I've had it for about six years now) and a fragile, handmade silk comforter (full size). They managed to restore the jacket's original color. I was concerned about the comforter, but there wasn't a single seam out of place and the colors actually improved. It only cost $55 for the comforter and the jacket. read more

Sunny's was good until one of my brand new *not yet worn* shirts (was getting it hemmed first) got a couple holes in it and then they lied and denied... and a photo to prove it! So here goes... I noticed the ruined shirt when I got home and called them telling them what had happened and right off the bat they kept repeating that "It's not my fault.". Then he goes on to say that "we only touched the bottom of the shirt, not the top". I go on to say ok but I now all of a sudden got two holes in my brand new shirt. His response was now... "oh yeah, I remember that shirt now.... it came with those holes in it and we didn't know why you wanted to get a new shirt hemmed with holes in it." ... yet they hemmed it anyways... he then stated that he didn't charge me for that hem though I'm hesitant to believe that because I don't recall the price being any cheaper ($12.00 to hem 1 shirt) and they don't provide an itemized receipt so I can't be 100% positive here. He also never mentioned that when ringing me out. I think he said that to help brush this issue under the rug. He then offered some sage advice; that since the shirt is brand new I should just go to the store and return it. Well, there are 2 reasons I won't be doing that but mostly because I have a shred of decency in me. 1) The shirt never came with holes in it and I'd be lying. 2) You hemmed the shirt to a different size and now if I return it someone else will get screwed. I'd just be passing your lie and mistake onto someone else and I won't let that happen. Now onto the proof: Hours before I brought the 12 shirts to Sunny's to get hemmed I took a picture of each one with the size I was hemming them to for future reference if/when I bought the same one again so I could remember what to hem them to. Therefore I'm writing it here in an attempt that they will see I caught them in a lie and for others to know as well. My advice to the owners: Just be honest, fix the mistake and you're more than likely to keep someones business. But to lie about it, you've now made me take my business elsewhere. We just returned from a 2 year stint in Nepal. Unfortunately, all of our belongings were packed during monsoon season and everything arrived in Boston moldy. Based on previous reviews, we decided to give Sunny Cleaners a try. We took 125 items of clothing to him and found him to be very friendly and helpful. Excellent service! They are always very nice and do great work. I had a light-colored shirt and a sweater that got bad coffee stains on them and I let them sit in my closet for weeks before taking them in to Sunny's. They got ALL of the stains out somehow!! I highly recommend them! read more

I've used them a couple times recently and they only charged me $6.75 to dry clean my tweed sport coats. I'm not sure if they lowered their prices or the other review got the wrong price. Anyway, they're fast and do a great job. The sport coats looked like new. The fact that the use eco-friendly methods makes them all the better. read more

I have been going to Sunny Cleaners for a number of years. About a year ago it changed hands. While I was loyal to the old owners I must admit that Won (the new owner) has made huge improvements. Not only do I find his attention to detail and service better, he has also converted to a green cleaning process that uses fewer harsh chemicals. Every time I go I'm greeted by name, I'm always treated as a valuable customer, and I find the quality of the cleaning excellent. The location is right on Mass Ave so parking can appear to be tricky but there is some free parking in the rear. read more

Excellent cleaners. Everything I have brought here is pressed exactly right (much less common than you think). I have brought in clothes that I thought I would need to throw away because of spots that other cleaners didn't touch, but they came back from Sunny's looking like new. They are more expensive than some of the other shops, but the quality is more than worth it. Also, the clothes don't have the reek of cleaning chemicals. read more

This is my new dry cleaner! I used to go to Davis Square because they were so cheap, Sunny's is worth the extra few bucks. Very polite and I like that they are eco friendly. I've had a few instances over the years with dry cleaners staining clothes and breaking buttons - I've never had one admit that they did. I went to pick up my clothes at Sunny's and the owner explained that he bought me a new shirt - same brand and size - because he had tried to remove a stain and it marred the fabric. He showed me my old shirt - I would never have even noticed the slight flaw. Very professional! read more
