Wayne's Auto Service Rocks!…read more I've gotta say this is the only honest mechanic I know (save my Uncle). Wayne is Scott's dad & Scott does most of the work these days. Both are super nice and always willing to listen to you car concerns and take a look for you. I feel lately like I'm living at Wayne's Auto (between my car & my boyfriend's car). When the mechanic down the street who did my oil change told me I needed a new radiator STAT, I took my car to Wayne's. Scott said, I did all these checks & don't see anything wrong with your car. (Thanks for saving me $700!) Then I found a leak coming out of my car and they said, bring it in, we'll look at it for you. My boyfriend needed a new clutch system, Wayne's said sure, go ahead and purchase the part, we'll just charge you for labor. Saved him a good $500 +! When he thought maybe there was a problem after the new clutch was put in, Scott looked at it again....Free of charge! I don't know many places that would take such care and time with their customers. If you need work done, take your vehicle to Wayne's!

They were going to rip off a single mother of 3. 700.00 to replace a hose? Oh, that's because the hoses come in packs of 2, even though Sharon needed 1 hose replaced, they were going to charge her for an extra part, that they were not going to use on her car. I know parts are expensive, but that's ridiculous. She told them that was too much and called around and M & S Auto's estimate was for 260.00. They recognized the dire need of a working Mom. They had compassion for her situation and helped her. They fixed her car in 20 minutes, instead of the Tuesday, originally stated. She had her car towed to Auto Repair Inc.1st. They did a diagnostic test on her car. They charged her 70.00 for that, and gave her the 700.00 estimate. When she wisely declined, she tried to pay the bill with her credit card over the phone. They refused to take payment over the phone, and refused to release her car to the towing company. She was sick, with 3 kids, I gave her a ride to the shop to pay in person. They made her wait around the desk, while the workers stood around, taking another customers info over the phone. One guy told her to quit asking questions. I upped my rating to four stars only because I think he's a really good guy and I'm not trying to ruin his business with a bad review. I still don't think I'll be returning, the last few encounters have been awkward and I'd rather just move on. But I do appreciate that the owner was willing to reach out to me personally. Just be wary of other employees and do your research on part pricing. ---------------------------- Pretty bummed about my recent experiences here. I used to only deal with Gilbert, and he was amazing. Always made me feel comfortable, was very upfront about what I needed and didn't need in order to save me money. I sent everyone to this garage when they asked for recommendations. In the last year and a half or so, I've been dealing with a different younger employee. HeI've needed a lot more work done the older my car gets. I felt pressured to make unnecessary repairs in my car (even got text messages a month after telling him I couldn't afford any extra repairs, they insisted on fixing my struts). I was quoted $1200 for a recent job but had to pay $1400. That never happened with Gilbert. After that, a few days after getting my car back I had a steering issue. Felt suspicious because he had explicitly told me I might have a steering issue in the future but I had over a year before I needed to worry about it. I took the car back, and was quoted $300. I brought a knowledgeable friend with me who called him out on the repair being their fault and also on the quoted price being outrageous. We found the part for $30. My friend repaired it in a half hour. I miss Gilbert and have lost faith in this shop. Unfortunately don't think I'll be returning.
