I'll start by saying that the work performed was great and I'm happy with the product. However,…read morewhen it comes to communication with the artist, such as scheduling, as well as planning for additional designs to add to a half sleeve, this parlor fails at customer service.
In July 2025, I met with my artist, Kenzie, and told her what I was looking for, which included the first tattoo design towards a half sleeve. I was scheduled within a week and the tattoo came out great. As time went by, I reached out in early November to discuss additional designs and complete the half sleeve. Kenzie advised she would definitely come up with some more designs and blend them with ones that I provided.
A week later, I reached out and asked for a general timeline for design draw-ups, specifically so I didn't bother her with other client's work. Also, I told her that I wanted to schedule an appointment within the next two weeks, provided that she had room on her schedule. Kenzie told me she'd have designs to me by the end of the week.
On December 10, I followed up, again, as I didn't hear back from Kenzie about any designs. Kenzie said she forgot to do any draw-ups and that it was her fault. I told her that things happen, and said that I'd make a paid appointment with her to get the drawings done. She told me that was silly and there was no need to do that. Kenzie said she set an appointment reminder to herself to get the drawings completed the next day; Kenzie also said it was the slow season so she wouldn't have any problems with completing the designs. Kenzie advised she would get back to me.
As of January 5, I haven't received a follow-up, draw-up or contact regarding my future appointment or designs.
What's infuriating is that Individuals who give tattoos want to be called "artists" yet, when it's time to actually draft up "art work", it's not their responsibility. In summary, I'm not too sure why it's so difficult to schedule an appointment to pay someone for a service, but alas, that's the world we live in. If you're too busy, then cool, I get it, just say so. Disinterested in doing something that requires proactivity? Great, let me down gently and we'll be on our way. Just communicate, ya know?
