Beware - Joy is dishonest as a host. I stayed at her property in Ravenna that is infested with ants. I reported her to airbnb and they have flagged her account. However, rather than accepting responsibility, Joy claimed that I brought the ants into her home. Additionally the smoke detector was out of batteries and went off all night. When she came to the airbnb after my complains, she offered to give us traps for the ants or vinegar to resolve the issue. She also advised that the pipes were old and would likely be a problem during our stay. It really is a disgusting property. I would not trust staying at any of her properties. read more

This is the first review I've written for a B&B where I didn't actually stay the night. However I had to share my appreciation for the marvelous owner. I wanted to set up a romantic weekend away for my brother and his new fiancé. I wrote Joy about this idea to see if she'd work with me. Not only was Joy on board, she made the weekend even better than I'd ever hoped it would be for them. Joy was fantastic to work with in this scheme and provided the most charming lodgings for my brother & soon-to-be sister-in-law. They slept soundly, ate wonderfully, and reportedly had a marvelous time! Wife and Daughter and I stayed there August 26 to 29th. Place was dirty and cluttered. Was woke in middle of night by smoke detector going off. removed detector and discovered swarm of sugar ants in ceiling. Found them all over the house even on the kitchen countertops. We have photos. Had to leave early because of this. No apology or refund was offered. Owner was very rude. Beware of phony reviews. read more

We rented this place, or rather a room at this place, based on the website. When we arrived we were a bit shocked. It's a house, in a mixed neighborhood. Granted the view is beautiful but it 's quite a haul to the beach. And you have to share the house with other guests. I knew that part but there's only one deck so everyone has to sit together. I did not find it to be the relaxing escape I envisioned when reading the description. I wouldn't recommend. read more
