The fish was amazingly fresh, customer service was amazing, did not smell fishy, ambiance was as expected for a fish store... hubby made sushi at home and it was amazing! So glad we found this place and it is nearby!

I've been coming here for years for their fresh seafood! I'm a big fan of making sushi at home and I always have a great experience ordering here, even on their really busy days. The workers are always really kind and helpful, especially because I can never decide how much to order so I'm always asking for tips or recommendations. My tip is to try to go as early as possible when they open bc they will have long lines later in the day, especially on weekends/holidays, but regardless the line always moves quickly. Even if you're not buying sushi grade fish to make sushi at home, they have so many seafood options.

Sacramento is fortunate to have Sunh Fish to shop for good quality fresh fish. The sushi grade selection I've purchased here has always been excellent making a nice meal at home. Making nigiri plates at home is so much more affordable than order it in restaurants. Half a pound of two different cuts of fish is sufficient for making 32 bite-sized nigiri for two hungry humans very full and happy. They have everything else you need for making a delicious sushi meal in your home kitchen. Like, for example, knives, rice, wasabi, seaweed salad, soy sauce, et cetera. You don't need to stop at the grocery store, too. One stop shopping.

Great place to get fresh fish. I love their salmon. Staff is always so friendly. They always if you would like the skin to be removed which makes it easier for me. They'll also provide ice if you need it. I stopped in on a Thursday afternoon right before they were closing. It wasn't busy just two other customers ahead. There's street parking. I'll definitely be back soon.

Wow! Who says you can't get REALLY fresh sashimi grade fish in Sacramento? The fish, all of it, is amazing. And yes, you CAN tell the difference between fresh salmon here and that from your local grocery store. They are efficient, even when busy. Here it was the day before Thanksgiving and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Highly recommend!

Came across this place when looking for a place with sushi grade fish and Sunh Fish did not disappoint! We got 2lbs of salmon, which for the price was a great serving size compared to what you get in restaurants. Very tasty and meaty fish. Nice big open space and the staff was very friendly, they even offer ice for transportation. Definitely a must try spot if in the area!

I should've gotten the Hamachi Kama. I'll be back!

Feeling like DIY sushi night? Don't know where to get fresh fish for your sushi? Look no further and stop by Sunh Fish! This has been our go to spot for Sushi Grade fish. The staff is always helpful and can answer any questions you may have. Parking is street parking. Usually not an issue to get a spot right in front. The inside is nothing fancy. Just a small fish market with awesome seafood. Pro tip, if you get the whole piece of Salmon, they'll knock off a few bucks per lb.

Sunh is a great local resource for quality fish, especially if you're looking for sushi grade ingredients. I ended up picking up a portion of uni for $34 and 2 portions of salmon roe for $10 each. Prices were comparable to another market I was at earlier in the week.

I go dumb/ get hyphy/ and thizz at Sunh Fish. I absolutely LOVE this place! Sunh Fish is located on Broadway in-between 13th and 14 St. It is across from Target and is sandwiched between Zanzibar Trading and the Asian Food Center. There is street parking out front, which could be challenging depending on the time of day. However I've never had trouble finding a spot. Once inside the ordering process can be confusing, especially when they're busy. I've seen people order at the lobster tank near the side entrance, in front of the main plexiglass, and by the cashier in the back. I guess it depends on how busy they are and whom is working there. The setup and space here is HUGE and very inviting. I feel most butcheries and fisheries are in cramped, "older" spaces where things get hectic and uncomfortable for customers. Not at Sunh Fish! Even when busy there is a ton of space for customers to walk around and look at seafood options! Most importantly, Sunh Fish has ALL types of fresh seafood! Salmon, sea bass, lobster, crab, shrimp, trout, sushi-grade tuna, and much more. They also sell condiments, knives, soy sauce, and frozen fish for purchase. I've only bought salmon from Sunh Fish, but that will change! I've been eyeing their Sea Bass for forever now... I've sautéed, grilled, and baked their salmon and it always tastes fresh and delicious! Way better than anything you'd get from somewhere trash like the Safeway on S and 19th. And what I enjoy about Sunh Fish is how welcoming, helpful, and accommodating their staff are. They truly live and breathe "fish." They can cut off the skin or 'half' your fish upon request which I love! There's no drama and everything is easy. Sunh Fish is also extremely reasonably priced! My only minor critique of Sunh Fish is I wish they de-scaled their fish skin like other places do. But that's not enough to dock a star, this place is still my GO-TO! V. Miller is my spot for meat (IYKYK) and Sunh Fish is my spot for salmon. Just go and get your seafood on!

But none of those reasons are the real reason I truly love Oto's,let me tell you what I really love.....Late last year I decided I was going to learn how to make my favorite food in the world and that is sushi.I went ham,I got the knives I got the kits,I got the rice maker,I got all the seasonings but what I didn't have was a spot to pick up the highest level of fish that was needed to really make homemade sushi pop and that is where Oto's came in to save the day. Their daily "sushi-grade" tuna and salmon that they sell in the back of the store is so next level-even a novice like myself cannot mess up a homemade sushi meal. They have so much to offer at Oto's,all the different levels of salmon and tuna, depending on your budget but all of it is amazing. I will forever be indebted to Oto's for helping me raise my sushi game at home and making my wife think that I'm just the best sushi maker-when it was always just the high quality fish offered at Oto's that did the work-Thank You Oto's for that. In closing-if you ever find yourself in the Land Park area and want to see what all the hype is about at this incredible spot or maybe you just want to try your hand at some home sushi making,be sure to stop by Oto's Marketplace-it truly is a gem amongst gems. PS....Parking sucks here-no way around that one unless u get lucky or have a handicap placard-don't like the parking.

Shout out for West Sacramento…read more.. Did you know that right in West Sacramento there is a seafood stand selling fresh sustainable caught hook n line fish plucked from the Bodega Bay? Well know you do... Ferrari Fisheries has a stand that sells black cod, ling cod, red snapper which all are year round catches; and seasonal Dungeness crab and salmon. When they have a fresh caught batch; they text their customers what is available catch, and time & date. To get their text notifications; you can sign up on their website. I was fortunate enough to get to their stand early enough on a notification day to buy a couple of Dungeness crabs. The crabs were live, priced at $11/pound. Awesome price! When you get to the stand, there are two lines. The first line you want to get into is the one nearest the big containers where the fish on ice or crabs are kept. If you want your fish filleted, let them know. It is a complimentary service. Then you head into the other line to pay. They take cash and card, I'm not sure about other payment types. Keep in mind, the inventory sells quickly especially the seasonal items. Folks queue up earlier than the opening time stated in the texts. The start time was 10am; I got there at 10:20 am. They sold out as I was leaving the stand. Anthony (owner and fishing captain), his wife, and team are terrific. They all were helpful and had the best attitudes. Welcoming. I'm sure they answer the same questions over and over. But when talking with each customer, they were engaged and provided individual attention. Top notch customer service!

After walking around the store and picking up a few sauces and a few new ramen options we never tried before-we set our our eyes on their hot food bar over near the front and that's where our trip took a real upwards turn. My daughter is obsessed with Banh Mi and I generally fight the urge to get one but this day that all changed and she convinced me to try a Banh Mi.
