Our contractor would respond and communication seemed decent. Ultimately large promises were made with little follow through. At the beginning of this process we were told they would cover the exposed portion of our home to prevent further damage. That just got done 02/09/2026 and they did not even cover all the exposed parts (I have photos). We were told multiple times weekly that they were waiting on approval from our insurance and it should be, "any day". We accepted this knowing sometimes insurance claims cause delays. We would ask for updates and it was always our insurance's fault. In December we went 4 weeks without any communication from Stonescape Steel Roofing. Later we found out our primary contractor was hurt on the job and no one else at the company bothered to communicate with us or take over our project. It took me calling and talking to the General Manager Sean to get an answer. The correction, the company had our initial contractor come back early from medical leave and communicate with us. I have a security video of this contractor in a medical brace at my home completing measurements. Another few weeks being told, "any day" and that the delay was our insurance. Fast forward to 02/05/2026 my husband and I both reached out to the company. I again spoke with Sean who provided multiple excuses as to why everything had taken so long. We were told again the delay was our insurance. My husband and I were told not to speak to our insurance because, "They wouldn't want to talk to us and would only want to talk to the contractor." We called our insurance finding out Stonescape Steel Roofing had only spoken to our insurance 4 times since 08/2025 and just sent the estimation approval request 02/04/2026. The entire time we had been lied to and our insurance was blamed for the lack of Stonescape Steel Roofing. I again spoke with Sean who stated the company "dropped the ball", "he didn't know what happened but it was clear people were not doing their jobs", and promised things would be better. We finally after 6 months get a full insurance approval. 02/18/2026 we had scheduled for someone from Stonescape Steel Roofing to come to our home, bring samples, and get progress progressing. I communicated 8 times leading up to 02/18/2026 to determine who was coming to our home and get a phone number. 8 times I was told they were working on it and would have the information to me shortly. No one showed. I tried to call my contractor and the phone number was no longer in service. There was no communication. When I called because no one showed up I was informed the contractor on our project had quit DAYS prior and they would work on reassigning my project. Again Stonescape Steel Roofing dropped the ball. Working with this company has been nothing but a headache. Lies, poor communication, and lack of accountability. The best part is 90% of our communication with them was done through text so I have a paper trail. I HIGHLY recommend you take your business literally anywhere else if you want the work done. Working with Stonescape Steel Roofing wasted time and energy. We are 6 months later and still have a damaged home. It was clearly demonstrated time and time again that they did not care about the work they were doing or their clients.

I had never dealt with a project this of size before, but Tony made the entire process extremely easy. Not only did he handle everything, including working with my insurance company, but he also made some amazing design suggestions--like switching to black gutters instead of white--which really elevated the look of my home. He was also super accommodating when I decided to change the trim color last minute, and despite that, he and his team still completed everything incredibly fast. I couldn't be happier with the results. My house looks incredible, and I've gotten so many compliments from neighbors, friends, and family. On top of that, he was professional, friendly, and trustworthy--exactly the kind of person you want handling major home repairs. After their incredible work on our bathroom remodel last year, we simply had to have Blue Pine Construction come back post-haste to work their magic on our 40 year old kitchen! Blue Pine's team includes a professional and respectful crew that works swiftly and efficiently with care. This team is led up by Mike and Lorilyn, who helped us every single step of the way. They were both very patient as they walked us through all of the decisions that needed to be made -- cabinet types, flooring, countertops, color, fixtures, backsplash and all other finishes. Their suggestions and ideas really helped us hone in on our ultimate vision for the new kitchen. For the work involved, demolition of the old kitchen only began when all material for the new kitchen arrived onsite. This ensured swift daily progress. I'd also like to give a shout out to the clerical side. I love their web portal which allows me to login and track everything -- contracts, progress, changes, additions and invoices. Blue Pine provides a customer portal which is not only a valuable communications tool but also has features such as change order processing, invoice payment and scheduling. The Daily Log is a great way for Blue Pine to show the progress of the project. Each day Mike posts a summary of the work that was completed as well as pictures of it. All of the people who worked on my project, both Blue Pine employees and subcontractors, were not only skilled at what they do but also very personable. I always felt welcome to stop by and see how things were going. How things went, was outstanding. I'm extremely pleased with the quality of work that was done. From the concrete finish to the electrical work and everything in between, there is nothing I look at and wish it had been done better. It seems to me that Mike takes pride in providing the customer with an outcome that they are very happy with and makes sure he hits that goal. Based on my experience with Blue Pine Construction, I can highly recommend them to anyone looking to have any type of construction project done.

I completely agree with another client who posted a negative review for Sterling Myers and American…read moreWallworks on Google. BEWARE of this guy. (And you can save yourself the time of reading my review by just looking at the photos.) Sterling was able to schedule me the same week I called for drywall repair (now I know why). I only needed him to fix a small wall dent and fill multiple nail holes from wall art, which I could have done myself, but I was busy packing up the house. I was optimistic at first because Sterling showed up on time and was very friendly and talkative. I wanted to get other things done while he worked, so I pre-marked all of the repair areas with tape. But instead of just getting to work on his own, Sterling insisted that I point out each nail hole and watch while he applied large amount of mud/joint compound to the tiny holes. It seemed like overkill, but I trusted his much espoused "expertise." I was so distracted by his constant talking that I missed the fact many of the holes weren't filled at all. Here's the crazy part, Sterling then hauled out his industrial texture sprayer and proceeded to blast the tiny nail holes with huge patches of texture. No measures to protect the adjacent walls, trim, baseboards, and flooring were taken--anything within a five foot radius was fair game. And since many of the holes were still open after the mud, he just over sprayed them massive amounts of texture. Dear readers, this is the most shameful part of my experience--I actually helped him wreck my own walls. He couldn't lift his air compressor up and down the stairs on his own, so I had to stay with him and help him lift it. He also asked me to fetch my own heavy ladder from the garage because he (a wall repairman) didn't bring one. So, everyone, I actually watched this massacre first hand. I honestly thought he knew better than I did as a professional contractor, but he constantly talks as a distraction so that you don't speak up despite the sick feeling in the pit of your stomach. It really is a complete con. All this to say that I had a huge mess to clean up and lots of repainting to do--and I was only charged $900 for the trouble (I guess there was no discount for assisting him with the work :-). Seriously, RUN from this business, people. Not only does Sterling exhibit serious signs of senescence, both mentally and physically, he only cares about getting paid as I got the impression that he's in dire financial straits. I actually cancelled the check I gave him after I gathered my wits about me. When I called him to discuss how badly the repairs looked after painting them, he offered to come back out fix them so he could get his money. OVER MY DEAD BODY, readers, would I let this man get near my home again. We finally agreed that I would pay him $600 for this disaster, and I told him that I would thank him with an honest review. . .
