My mom and I are from out of state, so it was a shot in the dark bringing him here, but wow, I'd recommend this eye center to anyone! I didn't think it was a stye, but hey, I'm not a doctor, so I just went with what he said. He referred me to another facility. Once I got to that facility weeks later, turns out, he was incorrect and should have never sent me to the other facility. The facility that he sent me to works very closely with him so they were very surprised when I showed up and everything that he had sent was incorrect. The other office apologized to me for making me wait and go through all of this hassle for nothing. They were pretty shocked about what happened. He wasted my time and my money, and I ended up having to go for a third appointment somewhere else. That also postponed my treatment. Dr. Schwerdtfeger (Dr. Joe) would not recommend. If you are a doctor and you were unsure of the next steps a patient needs to take, tell them that. I would have more respect for a doctor if they told me the truth, instead of sending me somewhere that couldn't help.

We had hoped for the same treatment when we walked into the Leawood location but instead got treated to a pair of adult toddlers more interested in judging us on our lack of Rolexes and Porsches than our need for glasses. Felix was a true gentleman and a good businessman. He saw in us people who wanted high quality glasses from a decent company at a decent price. From what I can gather, none of that exists today. I ordered 3 pairs of glasses, got no receipt for the order because we were in a hurry. Male clerk was supposed to contact me in 5 days for prescription info. 2 weeks later, I contacted him and informed him I didn't want the 3rd pair of glasses and wanted receipts for everything and wanted everything to be submitted to insurance. Male clerk seemed to be more interested in saving commission than helping me get what I needed. I emailed him my prescription and waited for confirmation of changes. Several weeks later, I get 3 pairs of glasses with none of my requested changes including the 3rd pair of glasses that I didn't need. Plus no submission to insurance, no change in prescription based on new info, and no fucking receipts for the 3rd pair of glasses I didn't even need. Don't walk. Run away from this company. Felix is no longer in charge and the company has been taken over by halfwits with delusions of adequacy. You'll encounter many fewer assholes if you just stay in your car in the parking lot and go to warbyparker.com on your phone instead.

I'm so happy with my purchase from here and would highly recommend this place to anyone! I love wearing my glasses at night while I'm getting ready for bed so that I can fall asleep easier. The glasses do a fantastic job at blocking blue light. And they look great too! I now have a regular pair of glasses for everyday use and an amber-tinted pair that I wear before bed every night. Spencer was very helpful in helping me decide on the exact color that I wanted.

So it was alarming up front how uncomfortable they were answering questions. They seemed surprised I wanted to know more than someone should call me at some time in the future, to let me know they would some day do something for some unknown amount of money. Knowing the markups in question I insisted on at least knowing how much we were talking about for a set of replacement lenses. They begrudgingly came up with a price of $600 dollars. When I asked to confirm that was just for replacement lenses they again wouldn't answer and just dropped the price by $150. Their markup was that high they could cut that much off and still be fine. Which they were apparently more comfortable with than just answering my question, or really any questions. I opted to go else where.

From check in to eye exam to check out, it took 30 minutes. They have a machine they can use in lieu of dilating your eyes. It cost $35 and is definitely worth it. I've seen Dr. Stacy Phillips and Dr.Kirk during my annual visits. Both women are friendly and listen to you. If you're looking for a new eye doctor, highly recommend checking this place out. They also have an optical shop with a wide, variety selection of glasses for men, women & kids. On a personal note, Dr. Stacy Phillips was able to help me solve an on going issue with my left cornea by referring to another specialist doctor. I'm truly grateful for her for helping me resolve with what I thought was an "issue I just had to deal with" for the rest of my life.

The main attractions for me are the Ferris wheel, the aquarium entry area and the cafe (+ sweets store). However, they have so much more to offer. It has departments for all sorts of team sports, all types of outdoor and adventure sports like fishing or hunting, fitness, footwear, games, toys, apparel, home goods and more. Do not forget to have the pizza and fudge at the cafe after a long stroll at the store. Also on the second floor they have beautiful taxidermy animals areas which is a fantastic site. It can get busy on the weekends so plan your visit accordingly because it's hard to get parking outside the store. Overall it's a clean, huge store with super friendly staff and a must visit if you're in the area!!

It's totally one part corporate, crisp, functional retail goods store, and another part taxidermy animals, rides, fudge, and hunting & fishing gear like you'd find at Bass Pro. We took our kids here on a winter break, gray day and it was a lot of fun. First off, there's a mini aquarium when you walk in -- it's nothing to write home about, but it gets the kids attention and they realize right away this is a fun store. From there, you can't miss the gigantic ferris wheel in the middle of the store. Gonna be real, it's fun and worth the wait but also a bit nerve wracking. Something is just odd about quietly swaying at the top of a department store quietly for such a long time. My daughter was like, "Dad, I'm scared to look down!" and all I could think was, "so am I, kid, so am I." We both agreed it's pretty fun once it gets going. There's also a little bowling area where you get five frames for a buck, and ditto to a little arcade game area as well. There's toy stores, outdoor goods, quality brands of clothes and outfitting, and really a nice answer to online shopping. In fact, it feels like malls used to feel in the 90's but a modern spin on everything. We did eat here but I'd say skip it. I didn't find anything I wanted and when I went to finish off my kids chicken tenders I was super underwhelmed and ended up pitching them. I will say at this time they carry Sylas & Maddy's ice cream (best IC in the city IMO) so that was a nice surprise treat. What more could you want if out shopping with the kids?! It's a great spot to kill a quiet afternoon.
