I really hate to add to the dog pile here, but people really ought to know not to waste their money ... and this was truly the worst massage I have ever had in my life. Paid or unpaid.
I paid for a one hour foot massage. The owner (?) had the other female therapist ask me if I had a gender preference ... I should have asked for a female because I might have fared better, but I said I didn't care. My mistake.
The "husband" that previous reviewers mentioned came in (in gym clothes?) and put a small wet rag on my right foot (it immediately got cold and was cold and uncomfortable for the rest of the ordeal.
By the way, they did turn down the lights, but there was no ambient music ... just his heavy breathing. So it ended up being creepy and not relaxing.
Then he did basically one repetitive stroke on the sole of my left foot for 37 minutes ... then I got 14 minutes of the same stroke on the right foot (and another cold rag limply thrown over the left foot.
He then put a strange little scrap of paper on my forehead and poked at it for a few minutes (some kind of strange and really uncomfortable forehead / scalp massage?). This made me more unhappy than not getting one at all (which is what I assumed was the case when he started in on my feet, because I usually get the scalp massage first and it is always AMAZING to have my scalp massaged)
Finally, I was told to turn over and got 3 minutes of decent massage on my shoulder blades.
Money and time right down the toilet. It was just lame and awkward and not, by any stretch of anyone's imagination, a "massage." He never once massaged my shin/calve zone, which I have ALWAYS had done in a foot massage. He didn't get my heel, the top of my foot ... and there was never any "pressure."
Seriously ... it's got to be hardly even legal to call this a massage. I would lose some money on a bet if this guy has ever really been trained by anyone to do anything like what he is charging money for.
I would have left after 10 minutes, but I was waiting on my car to be serviced at the dealership and the shuttle wouldn't be back to get me for an hour.
Ask I was leaving, the other female therapist (the only one who speaks English, I think) followed me as I quickly made my way out the door and smilingly asked "was it good?" ... but she had no idea how to respond to my sad "well, no, it really was not." ... so she just retreated back into the money pit. read more
