Chiropractic, PT etc etc...my best relief has been Thai massage. I'm at Texas motor speedway for two weeks and was looking for a mobile massage and found Nicole' Coffey on Yelp. While relaxation and pampering are nice, I prefer to do therapy that addresses my pain and provide relief. When given the option this evening, I chose the constructive painful path and have NEVER been more grateful for the work and time Nicole put in! After over 200 massages at least, this is the best one I've ever had and she provided coaching on daily stretches customized to my challenges. Had no idea I had 3 ribs out of alignment, 3 vertebrae also and collarbone out on both sides and she fixed all of it!She's also a post-operative specialist and shared insight and guidance no other Dr or massage/pt therapist ever has. I have 3 titanium discs in my cervical spine from a ski crash that I waited to treat until two years ago and she told me things about my injury just by feel. Trees is across the street from Silver Dollar Winery. I arrived a bit early and Edith was ready for me. First thing, we went over physical history and her process. I have sensitive skin and don't use anything with fragrance, Edith has it covered. I have some prior injuries that need to be considered, Edith is on top of it. She asked me my preference of music, and away we went. The bed was warm, which was really nice, since it was like 30 outside. She started on my back, with a very light touch. I thought it was going to be THAT kind of massage, but no, she was just getting ME ready. I am a hairstylist. I work on my feet, with my arms up. I get tight EVERYWHERE. No matter, I am no match for the mighty Edith. She was amazing. She worked out knots I didn't know I had. I'm sore in spots, but I can MOVE. It is quite possibly the best massage I've had. Edith was informative without being chatty. She didn't ask me if it was too much pressure, she really only spoke to me to give direction, or information. I appreciate that. She was able to tailor the massage to adjust for my limitations post surgery. She was very concerned that I was ok and that what she was doing was meeting what I needed. Neelou was very good at actually finding the knots in my back and neck and working them out instead of just checking off areas to massage.
