I went back for what is now my 4th massage here and once again everything was wonderful! This time I had Wendy who did a great job stretching my back and helping me relax. I'm the past I have had Lucy do a deep tissue massage which was also great, but this time I just wanted to relax so I could sleep better. (My back has been hurting at night). I find that if you just tell them what you want, deep tissue or more stretching, or back walking (which is also great) they can do it all. Pretty good massage place. It's not super fancy but the staff is super friendly and professional. I've got a lot of muscle and it's usually hard for a masseuse to give me good pressure but they worked me pretty well here! I always leave feeling nice and relaxed. The price point here is great! Not too expensive and they give you your moneys worth. I think the main thing when you go into any massage place is to be specific on you want. After reading reviews, my husband and I decided to give Golden Sun Spa a try. I'm so glad we did. Inside it's welcoming and inviting. Everything looked clean and they all wore masks, including us. The massages were great! They worked out all the knots in my back and shoulders. I felt relaxed and my body felts loose after it was done. I would recommend two things. 1. To have the soothing music a tab bit louder because it was so low and 2. Ask your workers to be a little quieter because the walls are really thin so you could hear them. I called and booked an hour session. The receptionist called me back 3 minutes later saying to come 30 minutes later (was told it was $55). When I arrived, I was told it was $65 (I decided to stay anyway). Afterwards, I handed the therpaist my card--who rang up $75 (while still holding my card) saying I had to tip atleast $10. My first time even going to a massage and I left amazed at how great the massage was. My massage person was a man but nonetheless he was extremely professional and asked me if the pressure was okay 3x (which I appreciated). The atmosphere in my room was super - except that i guess the walls are thin since I could hear the chimes of people walking in / people occasionally talk. Walked in and got a massage quickly. I got a 60 massage and my therapist was awesome. She asked where my trouble areas were and worked specifically on those areas. They managed to fit us in within and hour of calling for a couples massage. My Therepist was very intuitive and found my trouble zone without direction and she worked out each knot methodically. I've been to Golden Sun a couple times, either on short notice or as a walk-in. Due to this fact, a switch of therapists was needed on my first visit for the final thirty minutes of a ninety-minute massage. I highly recommend Golden Sun, based on the quality of the three gals who worked on me: Wendy, Lin Lin and Ling Ling are all excellent. One weekend evening I arrived too late--they were completely busy and booked up. So, a call beforehand, or better yet, a reservation, is recommended. I called and made an appointment and was pleasantly surprised as I arrived to see that everything looked brand new which I learned is because they had just completed a remodel w new floors & carpets & bathroom with shower & even new massage tables. Of course the proof is in the quality of the massage and I was not disappointed. I was very happy with my masseuse! I literally fell asleep during the latter portion of my massage & when it was over my neck & shoulders felt so much better! I can't believe this place has good reviews! My mom and I got there at 7:15 for our 7:30 massage. Waited on the table until about 7:45 for the masseuse to come in. The lights stayed on and you could barely hear any music. Awkward. The ladies left during the massage to answer the front door and also talked to each other during our massage. One of the ladies answered their cell phone during the massage...yes it was on loud. She said it was the manager. WHAT?! Anyway - now that I'm typing this I'm wondering why I didn't give it a 1 star review. Probably because one of the ladies actually worked on my muscle knots and walked on my back and it felt good so she will bring it to a 2 star review. When I was leaving one of their other customers stopped me in the parking lot to tell me they had a bad experience here today as well. They must be understaffed or something i don't know. Golden Sun Spa was it... made an appointment for right after work and just lived for 5:00. Sally gave me the most wonderful massage. After her expert maneuverings, hot rocks and hot towels I was absolutely loose and relaxed and in NO pain when I left. I cannot say enough, seriously.
