I feel like I had an uneven experience visiting this spa, so it is difficult to assign it one…read morerating. The location is super convenient for me (5 stars). It is right off the highway and has plentiful free parking in the lot right in front. You could probably walk here from nearby hotels if you wanted to. Every area that I glimpsed was immaculately clean. And, thankfully, no strong scents (like essential oils) that are sometimes found in spas since for me they trigger migraines. They had nice, relaxing music playing at exactly the right volume (you could ignore it or you could listen and breathe into it). The entire ambiance was relaxing which I needed (also 5 stars)! I was greeted immediately by the front desk staff. Everyone was very friendly during the visit. However, they had no record of the appointment that I made one week prior (for 1 hour deep tissue, +hot stones with a female masseuse). She offered me a male masseuse, which I refused, but they were still able to accommodate my appointment and brought be back to a treatment room immediately. Once I undressed, a female who spoke English entered, introduced herself and she began the massage without providing a bolster for my ankles. She said she couldn't use hot stones because "they would fall off." They do not ask you beforehand if you have any prior injuries or pre-existing medical conditions or if there is something specifically you want them to work on. Then after a couple of minutes, two more women entered. One woman said, in rather broken English, that the woman who had started massaging me was new and hadn't been hired yet because they didn't know if her massages were good or not. This was a bit concerning and did not contribute to my desired state of relaxation. She left a second woman with me to begin the massage again. This masseuse did not speak much English (except things like "deeper" or "lighter" for pressure and "it's okay?"). This made it difficult to communicate exactly what I wanted and needed her to work on or where I was hurting exactly and what to avoid. The massage itself was okay but not excellent (3 stars). She definitely WAS able to provide consistent, deep tissue pressure. Even if you are a man or need really deep pressure, I think you would have been happy with the pressure. She also lessened the pressure when I asked. I started laying on my stomach and she did my neck, back, arms, glutes and legs. I did get a few passes with the hot stones, although I was expecting something different like I have received elsewhere. When I flipped over on my back, she did my face, head and more of my arms, legs and feet. I was more relaxed when I left than when I arrived, but I did not feel that she was as specific with anatomy like most massages I have received in the past and she didn't work out all of the knots in my back around my shoulder blades. I have been in a great deal of pain in my neck plus a headache the day following the massage. They do accept credit cards (for a small additional charge) as stated in other reviews. Their pricing is reasonable for an hour. I was told that you can make your reservation online, which I would definitely do next time if I return since they had no record of the appointment I made by phone.

This is the spot I will always go to now when I need a massage. no more groupon or livingsocial for massages!! About the charging on credit card. It clearly says they charge you $2 for the TAX on credit cards. I paid $60 even plus $12 tip (Reflexology for two people)... So they didn't charge me tax, which is AWESOME! =)

Not only that, Hand and Stone is expensive and you don't actually get an hour massage it's abt 40-45 min after it's all said and done. Samara is amazing, she is very talented and knows what she is doing!! Her massages have made a huge difference in my back discomfort. Her massages are affordable and you get the FULL hour. It's very rare in this massage industry that one actually receives more than all that was asked…read more Based on your experiences coupled your pre-conceived expectations, I was a first time client to this place but was super curious about all aspects the operation as I'd noticed their online ad as it showed them being just down the street from our home in some fairly new high end office buildings just three minutes from.. once I'd gotten over the "How the heck had I overlooked them until now?", I quickly shot over a text which was promptly replied back to me by someone named SiSi who kindly informed me of times available that afternoon (yesterday) of which I pulled up to the front if their building 15 minutes later. Though I hadn't gone into detail beforehand, I forewarned SiSi that I had Parkinson's disease and I may need an assist through the front door as I had my walker with me. My wife dropped me off and walked with me to their door whereupon we were met by two beautiful Asian ladies who showed such love and care In assiging me further into Their lobby. I asked if one if these lovely ladies was SiSi anc with excellent English she introduced herself (the owner) along with one of her very experienced associates, Ms CoCo. I Was asked to follow SiSi into a certain room where she wanted to become more familiar with my massage knowledge and overall experiences which lead to SiSi going to create a file on me of which she then reviewed a multi page form with me identifying past surgeries, pulled or strained muscles along with any reoccurring or nagging injuries and any delicate areas throughout your body alerting her to go lightly and or avoid these areas all together. From this detail and concise historical data (which by the way upon completion of this multi-page form, she promptly reviews every question with all new clients as it affords her to one: establish a solid baseline for a plan/goals for you and not just for that first visit but for a long term roadmap which is great for all concerned. So I'll fast forward to begin wrapping this up, but suffice to say this business is spot polish clean and run like a fine Rolex watch, all under the direction and keen guidance of an owner (SiSi) who demands as much or more from herself l ensure this or any business she operates is indeed a direct reflection of her and her very detailed and thorough lifestyle!!!... thank the good Lord for this as the customer is the lone and large beneficiary in this ! I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that of the vast amount of massage spas this author had frequented, domestic and abroad, this is the only spa which invests this or any amount of time as SiSi does here in creating Such a clear baseline for new clients and putting together a strategy for their short and long term Goals so every client knows exactly what they can expect!!!
