Chiropractic, PT etc etc...my best relief has been Thai massage. I'm at Texas motor speedway for two weeks and was looking for a mobile massage and found Nicole' Coffey on Yelp. While relaxation and pampering are nice, I prefer to do therapy that addresses my pain and provide relief. When given the option this evening, I chose the constructive painful path and have NEVER been more grateful for the work and time Nicole put in! After over 200 massages at least, this is the best one I've ever had and she provided coaching on daily stretches customized to my challenges. Had no idea I had 3 ribs out of alignment, 3 vertebrae also and collarbone out on both sides and she fixed all of it!She's also a post-operative specialist and shared insight and guidance no other Dr or massage/pt therapist ever has. I have 3 titanium discs in my cervical spine from a ski crash that I waited to treat until two years ago and she told me things about my injury just by feel. I have sensitive skin and don't use anything with fragrance, Edith has it covered. I have some prior injuries that need to be considered, Edith is on top of it. She asked me my preference of music, and away we went. The bed was warm, which was really nice, since it was like 30 outside. She started on my back, with a very light touch. I thought it was going to be THAT kind of massage, but no, she was just getting ME ready. I am a hairstylist. I work on my feet, with my arms up. I get tight EVERYWHERE. No matter, I am no match for the mighty Edith. She was amazing. She worked out knots I didn't know I had. I'm sore in spots, but I can MOVE. It is quite possibly the best massage I've had. Edith was informative without being chatty. She didn't ask me if it was too much pressure, she really only spoke to me to give direction, or information. I appreciate that. She was able to tailor the massage to adjust for my limitations post surgery. She was very concerned that I was ok and that what she was doing was meeting what I needed. Neelou was very good at actually finding the knots in my back and neck and working them out instead of just checking off areas to massage. She made sure I was comfortable with the foot bath temperature before beginning. Carissa started with soft pressure and slowly increased and always listened if I needed a firmer or lighter touch. She will gently help stretch your hips, legs, ankles, and shoulders after massaging each area, and she listens if you need a break from the stretch. The only thing I did NOT like was that she tried to crack my back for me, so I asked her to stop. The scalp massage at the end was also very relaxing. She did not ask for tip up front like the other girls do, so I asked her to run my card again for a tip afterward. (I really don't like that the other staff want their tip up front! It should be based on the service!) After my last visit, this was a much better experience with Carissa! I will call and specifically book with her again. Covid concerns: They socially distance their clients, staff and clients must wear masks, clients must use hand sanitizer upon entry, staff wear gloves for the entire service.

Masseuse Amy asked that I give her a chance to earn my trust. From the start Amy has worked with me to determine proper levels of attention to chronic back pains and muscle tension. She listens and applies the attention and techniques I require at each visit. And I add the therapist are polite and give a warm welcome. My only concern is they're a small spa and when busy the masseuse are required to check walk ins and answer the phone. But overall Silk Touch & Amy specifically are hidden gems.
