Day-of Coordination: Elena stood out not only on the wedding day but also in the months leading up to it. She was incredibly helpful during the planning process--offering thoughtful insight into creating a seamless timeline and even helping with ideas for decor and place settings tailored to our outdoor, beachy (and occasionally windy!) wedding. She thought of every detail, from preparing us in advance to get those dreamy photos (like the first kiss and cake cutting) to ensuring everything ran on schedule without a hitch. On the day, Elena was a true lifesaver. From the rehearsal to the ceremony and reception, I never once had to worry about where I needed to be or what was next. She kept everything moving smoothly, pointing me in the right direction while allowing me to fully enjoy the company of our guests and the magic of the day. And she always made sure we were taken care of (never without a drink in hand!). Her leadership and attention to detail made it all so effortless for us. Florals: Melissa tackled all of our floral arrangements, and I couldn't have been happier with how they turned out! Working within my limited budget, she brought my vision to life with stunning florals that perfectly matched our style and the seaside setting. Melissa truly understood the look I was going for, and her creativity and expertise made every arrangement stand out beautifully. She even gave me a calming pep talk before I walked down the aisle, which was such a thoughtful touch during a nerve-wracking moment. I booked her early and we initially just did a couple meetings to discuss our vision and needs regarding coordination, vendor contracts and florals since we did not need a full-planning service, only partial. She was always upfront and gave me honest opinions especially when it came to where to splurge and save, and what could look good and what wouldn't. The last 2 months is where she really shined, helping us follow up with vendors on details, setting deadlines for me to book rentals, reviewing contracts and constantly doing sanity checks when I needed it. The day of, she came extremely prepared, everything flowed smoothly (except some technical issues on part of the venue) and she was great at going with the flow and just letting the vibe and natural mood of the day go, and fixing whatever problems I threw at her. We also had her as our florist and she truly out did herself- her prices were incredibly reasonable and she handled everything like a champ when her assistant got sick the day of the reception. She also took my back and forth floral design suggestions and changes very well, as I am quite particular on details in some areas and deferred to her expertise in others. Honestly could not have done it without her and she was without a doubt my #1 worth it vendor! Would absolutely hire her for all your wedding planning and floral needs.

I told her my theme of what I wanted (Enchanted Garden) and gave her a couple Pinterest pic ideas and she just nailed it! My baby shower was absolutely incredible! It was so awesome that I changed the name from "baby shower" to "baby wedding" because it was the most beautiful baby shower I or my friends and family have ever seen or been too! She is very crafty and made everything by hand. Everything that was there was authentic and original. She really puts a lot of time and thought into everything she does, she even goes above and beyond expectations. AND I am NOT exaggerating that at all because my boyfriend is the WORST! picky, boojie, fancy "Everything has to be perfect" worse than a bride on her wedding day kind of man. Let's just say when we walked in and saw what Jess had done, his jaw dropped! My baby wedding was such a memorable experience and I definitely owe it all to Jessica, and I'm positive she will do the same for you whether it be your wedding or baby wedding or whatever it is she can plan for you. I could say without a doubt it would never had been stress free or run so smoothly without the huge help of Jessica and her wonderful team aka her daughters (amazingness runs in the family). We were on a mission to find vendors who were able to work with us on flexibility and responsiveness. After a search high and low, I stumbled on Jessica! She really set our minds at ease and was super responsive. Never took very long to answer any questions or concerns we had. Her line of communication was always open. She also has a "I'm not a push over attitude" which is what you need in a wedding coordinator. She will get your vendors in line if any step out of line or are slacking or needs to be done right away. These were all great signs so we decided to go with Jessica as our day of coordinator. We spoke multiple times about what we expected and she covered all the bases even ones we totally didn't think about. The day of the wedding, we felt in good hands and the proof was in the pudding. Walking into the ballroom, I was taken back! The centerpieces and decor exceeded my expectations. She went above and beyond. It all was perfectly placed and beautiful. At some point before the reception, there was a little miscommunication with the DJ but she made it a point to make sure he understood our vision and not what HE thought was best. She is also truly thoughtful. For example, when she grabbed my flats from my emergency bridal bag and handed them to me when taking pictures walking around the venue. She did it without me asking or discussing that I would desperately need my flats. Jessica and her team had our backs and we felt it. Shoutout to her beautiful daughters who are just as thoughtful and sweet. Thank you ladies! So if you are debating whether or not to use Jessica as a coordinator, let me make this decision easy for you. Pick up the phone and give her a call as she is wonderful to work with.     ‼‼ DO NOT BOOK LILAC AND LACE AS YOUR WEDDING COORDINATORS ‼‼…read more We had Lilac and Lace @lilacandlacesd as our coordinators for our 10/11/2025 wedding in Orange County, CA. [For context: ~230 guests, Vietnamese-American wedding with 12pm Catholic mass ceremony + 5pm reception at a museum.] I hope and pray that no other bride/groom will experience the level of stress, frustration, and disappointment that we did on our wedding day. I will say that leading up to our wedding, our calls/texts with Ariana (owner) were helpful; it was the day-of services that failed us when we needed them most. Ariana notified us 9/29 via email that she needed to have surgery the following week and would be handing off our day to a different coordinator (Kez) and assistant, as well as providing another assistant for free - she assured us we were in good hands. (As a nurse, I completely understand prioritizing health and how difficult it is to get urgent surgeries scheduled, and fully agreed with Ariana that it was the right thing for her to do.) First, Kez and her team DID NOT SHOW UP TO OUR CEREMONY. Multiple logistical/crowd control issues occurred during/after our mass, which would have been prevented by the presence of a coordinator. Ariana states this was due to a miscommunication and took responsibility for this. The call time at the reception venue was 2pm, Kez did not arrive until 2:30pm and one of the assistants did not arrive until after 3pm (as 3pm is when my husband and I arrived on-site and we were informed by Kez that the other assistant was on her way.) The assistants never introduced themselves to us, I can't even tell you their names. When we arrived, Kez did not know about our outfit changes or where our grand entrances were from; this was covered in detail at our venue walkthrough (which was only attended by Ariana, and should have been communicated to Kez.) Other errors that occurred during the night: songs switched for parents' grand entrances (Kez then asked if we wanted our parents to reenter, obviously not as that would be extremely embarrassing and disruptive), our second grand entrance in our traditional attire not caught on photo/video because Kez did not notify them on time (again Kez asked if we wanted to reenter), Kez asking us if we were ready for the MC to announce cake cutting even though we wanted unannounced cake cutting , failure to announce last call on our late-night food truck so there was a lot of extra - the list goes on. Again, these were all covered in detail during planning calls and at the walk through. Ariana assured us that a coordinator/team member would be with us at all times during the reception - however, we could not find them at multiple points throughout the night. My MOH ended up coordinating the majority of the evening and handling communication with the coordinators, as I was on the verge of tears every time I had to see them. Kez and her two assistants spent nearly 20 min tying a ribbon onto our welcome sign (which we did not ask them to do), our photographer actually had to shoo them out of the background of a shot. Lilac and Lace's coordination packages also promised free content creation with raw photo/video and a real delivered within 72hrs of the event - we never received this. We sent a strongly worded email to the company, and received an apology response that was very emotional but did not take full accountability. We have received a 50% refund although we requested a FULL refund. If you have only one takeaway from this review, let it be this: Booking Lilac and Lace for our wedding was our greatest regret - their unprofessionalism, lack of accountability, and inability to coordinate RUINED our day. Please PLEASE book someone else to be your wedding coordinator - we wish we had. (Wish we had seen Denice M's Yelp review beforehand as her experience sounds eerily similar to ours) UPDATE: As of 1/26/26 we have received a thoughtful and sincere apology via email and the full refund.

Jill handled my wedding and a good portion of the design, while Lindsey (who has since left Coastyle to spread her wings) was my amazing coordinator. I went with just the "month of" coordination after I had gotten the ball rolling on my own on all of my big decisions - venue, caterer, photographer. This was a good fit for me because I'm great at starting things, but terrible at finishing them, so the girls at Coastyle were LIFESAVERS!! I would absolutely recommend their services to anyone who needs a couple extra helping hands in their wedding planning. Hiring a coordinator was the best thing I did. I got a few extra brains, ears, eyes and hands on my project and they completely succeeded in making my vision a reality and minimized the number of headaches I had to deal with throughout the process.

Jillian is so creative and can make just about anything you need! They helped us pull off an elegant vintage sports themed wedding...I know sounds out there, but it was amazing and totally us. If you are getting married in San Diego you need Coastyle Events to coordinate and produce your magical day! I got married two weeks ago and am still getting messages from friends and family saying our wedding was the best they have ever been too!
