From the beginning, I was extremely clear that I would only proceed if the rebate covered the full project cost and that I would not pay any non-refundable deposit. Their representative repeatedly assured me in writing that there were "no upfront fees or deposit required" and agreed to prepare contingency language allowing me to cancel without penalty if the funding was insufficient. After months of follow-ups, delays, and waiting for management to finalize the paperwork, I was suddenly informed that the company had implemented a "new process" requiring a non-refundable $1,000 payment before they would process the application, engineering review, or other preliminary work.

A month after we had inspection, we had failed due to them installing an extra panels and not having the plans updated. I've made already 3 payments and sent all my bills to them. They keep assuring me that I will be reimbursed for my non-operating panels but I haven't seen a dime! Fast forward to November 2022 and I still haven't gotten any updates, I've sent several emails with no response, and I am still left in the dark about when my panels will be running. This company is such a joke, if I can give 0 stars I would. And I am still waiting for an update!

I needed to repair my skylight after noticing moisture on an area of the wood below it. I received…read moreseveral quotes, but Sunline Energy was the only company that recommended fixing the root of the problem rather than just putting a Band-Aid on it. My skylight had been installed incorrectly by another company, which was contributing to the moisture issue. Since skylight repairs can be a relatively small job, I found that not many reputable companies were interested in doing this type of work. I was very happy to find Sunline Energy. Juan handled the skylight and related roof and flashing repairs, and I can't say enough about the quality of his work. He is a perfectionist and took the time to make sure everything was done correctly. He went above and beyond and fixed both the skylight and surrounding roof area beyond my expectations. Based on my experience and the quality of Juan's work, I would highly recommend Sunline Energy to anyone needing skylight or related roof repairs.

Adding on after Sunline Energy's response: I did not mention the following yet it is important to do so, in 2024 3 roofing companies told me that the roof was past due on repair, I had mentioned what happened with Sunline Energy in 2023 and was told that your company as well as others install on roofs that are not healthy enough and even with replacement of shingles the plywood was not thick enough to support solar panels, in other words, Sunline never mentioned something that was felt just by walking on the roof, ethics should be as important as obtaining a sale because people work hard to keep there home maintained, honesty is the best policy, I understand that the company must achieve sales but situations as so are very disturbing, Sunline Energy continues to owe us $1,000 due to a deposit for a job that never took place.

No communication, and I've waited all day for them to come and fix and repair their mistakes and so far they've been a no-show. She offered a free panel cleaning, which she set up internally and had their team come out this past Friday without issue. Since the cleaning the panels have been much better performing especially after these past few weeks of misting and rain, about 25% higher output. I didn't think much of it but I get now it's worth doing to get the most out of the panels. Overall a very good response and experience with OC specifically for this issue. I feel that they do want to stand out from the crowd and responding proactively to feedback gives me more confidence they'll take care of issues as they hear about them.

Poor communication and project management…read more My project has been underway for 8 weeks and I'm still likely weeks away from having a functional system (despite having paid over $30K out of pocket). I've had to repeatedly chase the team for basic updates with no follow through. Throughout the entire process, I do not believe the team followed up with me directly, I have had to chase every single update since signing the contract. The original system design I agreed to did not fit my roof (despite them measuring on-site before I approved the quote), during install many roof tiles were damaged and replaced with used (very dirty moss covered tiles). Hopefully I have a functioning system sometime soon, but I have been extremely disappointed so far.

The roof was done on time and communication was phenomenal. Highly recommend for roofing and solar panel installation. I logged in and saw one panel that was black-sent an email inquiring about it on New Years Day-the next morning, the company had already inspected my system and ordered the new micro inverted and once it arrives they will call to schedule the install. Like whaaaaaatttt?! Everything happened so fast-so efficient. Blown away with the quality and professionalism I had to make a review. We had our system installed back in 2020.
