I lived next to a different location about a decade ago, and it was always my favorite coffee shop. With moves & health issues, I hadn't been in forever. I had an hour to kill around here & stopped in & was so thankful they had decaf & oatmilk, so i was able to get a coffee. It completely hit the spot I had been craving. The employee made sure to get me what I needed & it had plenty of seating for the size of the place. Will always recommend Sunergos! read more

After a different move after over 31 years in my house I was finally able to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee at one of my favorite local coffee shops-Sunergos. Fortunately I moved not too far away and was able to get a quality cup of coffee and enjoy the eclectic atmosphere. Service is always good and the coffee is always top notch. Sunergos Coffee - Sunergos Coffee Shop in Beechmont. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Louisville, Kentucky

Friendly staff. The coffee blends are excellent. The guy that took my order though was a tad bit confused how to ring up my order. People coming for their caffeine fix don't need a detailed account of why he can't ring it up that way...charge what you must...just get me some coffee!!! read more

Such a cozy little coffee spot with a really inviting vibe. The service was genuinely great, friendly and welcoming without feeling rushed. The interior feels comfy and lived-in, with warm lighting and art that makes you want to sit and stay awhile. The ambiance was lovely overall, though it was a bit chilly near the door when it opened since it's a little drafty. I ordered an iced caramel latte, which was smooth, well-balanced, and not overly sweet, and paired it with a cinnamon roll (heated, of course). The cinnamon roll was soft, warm, and perfectly comforting, exactly what you want with a coffee. Overall, a great place to relax, catch up with someone, or just enjoy a quiet moment with a drink. I'd absolutely come back. read more

Solid coffee shop with consistently tasty brews and friendly baristas. Very cool retro vibe, though a lot of the seating isn't super comfy due to the age and style of the furniture. It's a great, low-key place to connect with friends or spend time working. The neighborhood is cute too, with free parking in the back lot. read more

I have been to this Sunergos in the Iroquois area just a few times. I mostly go for Books and Brews other than that, not too often. They do have rear parking here and there's a painting on the side of the building that shows you. It's a unique place that has typical table seating and some older antique looking furniture. It's counter service here and coffee is made fresh. I usually get an iced mocha here and they always know the right amount of mocha syrup to put in. They also have at home coffee you can purchase and make at home, they do have other merch as well. This is definitely a coffee shop worth visiting rather you're remotely working, studying etc. I definitely like it here. read more

I love sunergos- I wish they were open even longer hours- maybe like 6 am - 9 pm. Great locations, great employees. Best coffee in Louisville. Blueberry latte should stay on the menu forever! read more

Sunergos is the coffee I've ever had!!! I don't know how they do it so consistently, although I think that their relatively limited menu allows them to place most of their focus on the coffee. Cannot recommend Sunergos enough!!! read more

Great coffee, great muffin. Served up quickly and oh so tasty. Can't wait until my next cup. read more

I always have the hardest time deciding which cafe to study at, but Sunergos is always one of the top contenders. Due to the location, I've only been here 3 times, but it's probably the most spacious one in Lou. I ordered a skin cortado with cheddar & chives biscuit. I love that they heat it up for you. I love the mismatched interior that gives a homey vibe. On a Sunday afternoon, you can see students gossiping over coffee, father and son playing scrabble, business meetings happening, someone knitting, families sharing chocolate milk, etc. Coffee is always top notch & there's even free parking in the rear, as well as on the street (Sundays are free but 1hr free parking on weekdays). read more

I love this coffee shop! This is the third location I've been to in the city. We walked in close to 2 on a Friday and it was almost empty. There were two others on computers. A few people came in and sat while others grabbed coffees to-go. My friends and I sat by the plants near the front while we chatted and read children's books. I was impressed! They had a lot of cultural books that were geared towards the cultural diversity of the neighborhood. Very cool! The baristas were nice and pretty smiley! I'd return just for that and because they aren't as busy as the other locations in the city. Not sure if the parking our back is theirs, but I found parallel parking across the street. They had a seasonal menu, which had a lavender tonic that my sister ordered. I didn't want that but since they had the lavender, I ordered a lavender latte. Yum! Very delicious! The lavender tonic my sister got had tonic water, espresso, and lavender syrup. It was unique! I didn't try it but she enjoyed it! Other than that, I like the retro vibe of Sunergos Coffee shops. They have many random furniture pieces but they fit together with the theme. read more

Really like Sunergos' ! Great coffee not to bitter. Medium brewed coffee $3.00. Blueberry muffins $3.50. Good service.

I decided to stop in for a quick coffee cause who doesn't love a local place right? I just got a coffee and a cheddar biscuit, do not pass on the biscuit, it was a a life changer! I'd totally go back in a heart beat and the staff at the time was super friendly. read more

I go to sunergos during breakfast and lunch times. I usually go to the location that is downtown in walking distance from my office. It is a very small place, no place to sit. You just walk in, order, wait for a little and then leave. The employees will talk to you thought. They are so nice and down to earth. I love locally owned places and this is one of my favs. I can just stand and talk to them all day. They also have a special drink menus daily which is pretty cool. But to the drinks. I don't drink coffee so I always get tea or an iced chia tea latte. They make the drinks however you like it with no complaints and with a smile. They aim to please you. The chia tea latte has a lot more nutmeg than I like but it is still really good. They are very consistent with how they make their drinks. Every time I go there, the drink is exactly the same. A lot of places I have been too, depending on who is there, the drink is made differently. Not them, they are consistent which I appreciate. I support them all the time and will continue to. read more

Cute shop. Barista was fast. Coffee was just okay. I don't hate it. I don't love it. I had black and white mocha. Husband had a white mocha.

The food and drinks are so good!!! They don't mess around on the service!!! The ambiance is lovely there!!!

Good energy, quick service, great beans and has the neighborhood feel you want in a coffee shop. It's a place you can take your time at and even have some good cafe snacks you should partake in while you're there. Since I was in town for work, I had my work digs on but it felt funny to be in steel toes, jeans and a work polo while everyone had more of the "hipster" and college kid feel to them. Coffee lovers come in all shapes, sizes and fashion! read more

I popped in this Sunergos location for a quick meeting. Honestly, I didn't know there was even a location on Southern Parkway. The environment was welcoming and a barista quickly greeted me to take my order. Sunergos roasts some of my favorite coffee in town so I always enjoy my visit. I had a bit of a cold today, though. So I got a cup of earl grey loose leaf tea. My barista carefully prepared my tea and even brought it right to my table. It was a little bitter so I probably should have put some cream in it in hindsight. I didn't get to try any food this time but I've had a muffin on a previous visit at the Norris location and thought it was delicious. This Sunergos is a great addition to the Beechmont neighborhood! read more

What cool place! Love the comfy chairs and cool environment. Reminds me of sitting in a grandmas basement somewhere. I visited in a Sunday morning. Not very busy at all. During my 45 minute visit I think only 4 Customers came in. This was my first time so I asked for a suggestion from the staff. I like sweet so they suggested the caramel latte. I also ordered a savory scone too! They have a roasting room in the back too, that is jut too cool! It's contained by glass, and you can peek in. My ham and cheese scone was good, wish I would have asked them to heat it up for me. They have baked goods from Please & Thank you! Yes they also have their chocolate chip cookies! The latte was delightful and scone was great. The environment is the best! It was very relaxing and the chair by the window is super comfy. I don't sit long so for me to sit for 45 minutes and just enjoy a Sunday morning with a latte and scone, priceless! This is a very cool locally owned coffee shop. You can also buy coffee by the bag, they also sell coffee mugs, thermos and shirts with their name on them. They also have coffee gift baskets prepared too, average price around $45. They sell brewing equipment too! Glad I found this little gem near my end of town. read more

The Sunergos on Woodlawn Avenue is perhaps the homiest of the Louisville coffee establishments I've been to. And I've been to many. Would you like a comfy chair to sink into? Or perhaps you're with a group of friends and you'd like to pull several chairs and tables together to make an area your own? You won't be offending any pre-planned furniture arrangement by doing so -- or not one that can't be easily put back anyway. Most of the furniture is mismatched. I love the array of mid-century-modern, formica tables. And this all works to create an atmosphere that is memorable and comfortable, one that doesn't take itself too seriously -- as some coffee shops are wont to do -- yet doesn't look like it was pulled together over a weekend. It's warm and relaxed. It works. But perhaps enough with the interior design. "What about the coffee?" you may ask. I have not had a bad brew at this establishment. The baristas have always been polite. Sometimes there's only one person both taking orders and filling them, which can lead to a wait, but you can tell they're working as fast as they can. If you want food, I noticed that this Sunergos carries baked goods from Please and Thank You -- can't go wrong there. And you can see them roasting beans through the window into the back of the shop. It's kind of gratifying to drink coffee that may have been roasted under the same roof. All in all, a great establishment. read more

Sunergos be all like, "We got good coffee." And I be all like, "Oh yeah?" And they were all like, "Yeah." So then I was all like, "OK." And wouldn't you know it? They had good coffee. Some of the best in the city, yo. So get off yo rear end and get on down to Sunergos. The Preston Hwy one is more hipster and students. The Woodlawn one is bigger and less of the above. I prefer Preston. read more

My old home away from home. Sunergos has been apart of my life for over 15 years. Awesome service and flavor, the decor and ambiance is legit, the drinks are good, but also so are they muffins.

I love Sunergos's Ethiopian and Blend B coffees. Their coffeehouses are always clean with plenty of plug-Ins for laptops. The service is friendly and knowledgeable as well as kind. read more

Was here recently to meet a date and relax and visit before attending a concert. I like the high ceiling and the brown-stained concrete floors. The furniture is 1970s basement rec room stuff-pretty rough. Or 1970s vinyl office chairs with rips and tears. At any rate it IS a comfortable space. My date's coffee was a disappointment-simply didn't care for the flavor. Likewise I did not care for my iced coffee. The flavor and the price. All in all 4 stars. I plan to return. Plus it is across the street from a delightful jewelry and pawn store-Berkley Jewelry. read more

Charming decor with a friendly staff and great coffee. The cafe Miele was delicious and the blueberry muffin very good as well.

I travel for a living and try local cafes everywhere. Hands down best cappuccino I've ever had. Friendly staff and great store.

I absolutely love sunergos coffee. I get the frozen mocha. It's a very laid back place to enjoy coffee, chat or do work! Highly recommend.

Blueberry muffin was so fluffy and delicious. I didn't care much for what I got to drink but everything was still delicious

This was my second time at this location, third time at Sunergos! I love the vibe of this location and the cute vintage desks to sit at while you drink your coffee. There are always fun little notes to read inside the desks. Also, the baristas are super sweet and always make you feel welcome! Not five stars cause my iced drink was barely iced cause it was pretty warm. BUT, the iced mocha was great and I still recommend them for sure! read more

If your in Louisville and close to the airport and in need of a nice workplace that serves great coffee than Sunergos is your place. I've visited Sunergos on 3 different occasions and on each visit the service and quality gets better. My most recent trip on a Thursday morning I noticed a good traffic flow but seating was easily secured and my caramel latte was strong but yet flavorful. The internet is strong for those who want to work and sip. The shop offers a retro look but it's perfect as it doesn't distract you and everything has a place. I've yet to try food but I'm working my way up too it... read more

Like all Sunergos stores this place is awesome! This is where the magic happens for Sunergos. And by magic I mean roasting. They have giant windows from ceiling to floor that show the roastery which is super fun to watch while you sip on your drink. You can see them roast the coffee like you can watch doughnuts be made at Krispy Kreme! The baristas are all super knowledgable about coffee in general but especially Sunergos coffee and are great at making suggestions as far as what espresso roast to use or buy and even how to brew your coffee at home! Every barista I've met at Sunergos but especially this location is super sweet and wanting to help or customize your order so you are happy. The vibe of this Sunergos is much more chill than the Norris location which is nice if you just want to relax and read a book or hang with some friends. read more

Every time I have a late from Sunergos coffee, it's like the first time. This establishment made me realize how great coffee can be, especially in the morning. First off, this location is in the Southend. Besides two Starbucks locations, you can't get a latte in the Southend of Louisville. That alone is impressive. The decor here is great. The chairs are all mismatched and comfortable. There is a rotating wall of local art that is always interesting and beautiful. If you like espresso and lattes, this is the best place in Louisville to have them. They perfectly mix the flavors together, and the milk froth on top is always in a perfect balance. At the beginning of what I envision as a long work day, I grab a Dirty Chai Latte (Chai latte + a shot of espresso) and it never fails to pick me up. The prices are right on par with Starbucks and Heine Bros, but the welcome I get in the morning is always a bit more local. The music played in Sunergos is always something I have on a playlist, or will be stealing for a future playlist. In summary, this place is a jewel in the Southend of Louisville. Have a cup of coffee, relax in a comfortable place, and make sure to come back. read more
