My experience was AH-mazing. I stepped into the showroom and found a fishing boat I fell in love with. With monthly payments starting at $145.00/month, I think I fell in love with my next boat for next year's fishing trips! The sales team was warm and friendly, and they explained my options for financing the boat... and the trailer was included, too! read more

Posting.....yet again.....regarding repeated poor service experiences with Sundance Marine over the course of several years. Unfortunately, this has become a pattern of negligence, poor communication, and failure to complete requested work despite significant inconvenience and travel on our part. Our experiences include the following: * Approximately five years ago, we were informed that servicing on our boat had been completed and that it was ready for pickup. We drove the 220 mile round-trip from home to retrieve the boat, only to discover upon arrival that the work had not even been started. This resulted in a completely wasted trip and substantial inconvenience with the need to return a few weeks later (at our expense of wear and tear on the car and the cost of diesel) * Approximately one year ago, the company misplaced our boat battery during servicing and also failed to complete all of the work that had been requested. This required additional follow-up and further inconvenience to address issues that should have been handled appropriately the first time. * Most recently, after uncovering our boat following winterization service this year, we discovered that the seat cushions that Sundance Marine were supposed to have reupholstered had never been placed back into the boat. After speaking with management, we were informed that no discount or accommodation would be provided, despite the company's oversight. Additionally, they are requiring US to drive another 220-mile round trip (at our expense of wear and tear on the car and the cost of diesel...I'm sensing a pattern) to retrieve the cushions that THEIR staff failed to return to the boat. While isolated mistakes can happen, these repeated incidents over multiple years demonstrate a concerning lack of quality control, accountability, and customer service. We have made repeated efforts to work with the company directly, but continue to experience incomplete work, misplaced property, poor communication, and significant unnecessary travel burdens. Do yourself a favor and get your boat serviced literally anywhere else. read more

Had a difficult time purchasing a new SG-V16. It took 4 attempts to get a price. (2x phone, 1 in person, and one on the website). I had to order the 2025 model because in July 2024 there were no 2024 models available. The photo on the Tracker website for the "new SG-V16" is not what was delivered. Zero updates on the status of the build/delivery. After picking up the boat it had a lot of issues (water coming over transom at cruise / interference of engine cables with the decking on boat, low max RPM and speed. I added a bimini top through Sundance. It was installed so far back it also interfered with the engine control cables and hence the steering. It didn't seem like the bilge pump was working. (Finally got to to work after putting 8 gallons of water in the boat with the front tipped up. Tracker was no help...said work with Sundance. Sundance focused on a prop change (tried it / didn't help). It is clearly an engine mounted too low. Because of the 4 hour drive each way to Sundance, and because they can't put the boat in the water and test it, I ended up raising the engine height one setting. I also put a recess in the back deck to free up engine cables and shortened the bimini top poles to move it forward. The steering is freed up and the boat runs great now. I didn't get a survey from Tracker. I called Sundance. They said they would have one sent. I gave them email and mailing address...been weeks, still no survey. Sundance is terrific when you are standing in front of them. After you leave I wouldn't plan on hearing from them or much/any follow through on what you discussed. Good luck. After spending the summer working on my $20,000 plus brand new fixer upper, I have a reasonable boat. read more

I would give them less than one star if I could. They gave me an invoice for parts and install and I agreed to the work. When I picked up the boat they gave me a new invoice for $150 more. When i questioned it they said the 150 was for install labor. Showing them the original invoice which I agreed to that said parts and install, they became very defensive. The service counter girl was literally taking the papers from my hand and keep showing the charged labor hours. She continually interrupted me and would not discuss the printed line that said parts and install. When I became frustrated with her trying to overpower me I told her to stop and be quiet. She stormed off to get the boss. When I told him they had given me a flat rate price for parts and install. That made made him more defensive than the counter girl and Ron said "I don't care what you think". "We have a 90%+ customer service rating", and you can't talk to my help that way. I said they were over charging me. He said no and I was wrong not them and I was not allowed back into their store. Absolutely amazing. I paid the bill anyway, even though they took an extra 150 from me. It is my opinion that they could care less about customers. I feel they are a dishonest business and do not care if they get caught trying to cheat you. MY recommendation is, do not take your boat there for service. I can not tell you about sales but if they will cheat you in the service department who knows what they will do in boat sales. Buyer beware. read more

My wife and I drove 800 miles to purchase a new Sea Ray from Sundance because of how incredible their team is! Michael FaceTimed our way through the boat in detail and was knowledgeable and friendly and drew up a deal too good to pass up. Once there, the entire team was equally as great. Mike, John, Scott, Casey, the owner and everyone else went above and beyond what a purchase typically is. I cant recommend enough for anyone looking for anything boat or off road related to buy from them. Truly an experience to enjoy and will definitely be back! read more

Being a real world person that knows how the world works, when I see something I want, I buy it! and not make a low ball offer and complain if someone else buys itNow I'm a happy boat owner. read more

After houseboating in Bullfrog Lake Powell for 12 years, I finally wrecked a prop. After discovering that no one in Bullfrog carries brass props, I found Sundance Marine and called and spoke with Steve. He was fantastic, he helped me find the right prop, had the distributer overnight it to me in Bullfrog and 24 hours later I was back on the water. I can't thank Steve enough for his help and patience since my phone service in Bullfrog was horrible, but he kept taking my call until we were done. Thanks again for saving our trip. Also, if you ever have an issue in Bullfrog, I highly recommend Shannon at Bullfrog Marine, he is the best!!!! read more

We found this business to be very professional, customer oriented and respectful. Fair prices and very knowledgeable team. Highly recommend. read more

The sales team at Sundance does a great job, and so does the service team. The problem sits squarely on the shoulders of the service manager, John, who promises one thing to the customer and doesn't care if it's not possible. While waiting for a response from him, I did observe John belittling one of the mechanics as though the man was "retarded". His words. More than a bad review, this man should be removed from his position. read more

Driving from Denver to Bullfrog Marina (Lake Powell) and find out I need an engine part for a Mercruiser engine. (An idler pulley) Gus helped me out, and ensured a great trip for us. Thanks Gus and Sundance. read more

We needed a local company to help us while we were in desperate measures. Driving from Denver to Lake Powell and lost a tire on our trailer while driving along i70, due to manufacture defect. Thank goodness no one got hurt! And to make us feel even safer, Sundance came to our rescue. They took our trailer and boat in for the night while we waited for a new trailer to be sent to us. They came in hours before opening the next day to transfer our boat from one trailer to the new trailer. Sundance went out of their way for us when they had no vested interest. Our extreme gratitude to Gus, Ron & Jon. Thank you Sundance for saving us and making us realize there are still some really good people out there! read more

Very unprofessional! My 77 year old husband and myself were in the middle of purchasing a boat from them. We were dealing with the finance manage over the phone and we were in the process of paperwork with our credit union. The finance manage told us that he would be gone until Tuesday and he would take care of it on Tuesday. We emailed him what was needed and he knew we were going to drive 8 hours to pick it up on Thursday. We called Tuesday morning and they were avoiding us. We called back several times and they finally admitted that they sold it - right out from underneath us without a phone call or anything. Didn't care! No apology! We've left a message for the owner Ron to call us back and he has not as of this time. Very unprofessional. Just left us hanging and sold it out from underneath us. Can't be trusted to deal with! read more

Was looking at buying a used boat trailer. Drove in from Glenwood Springs and the sales guy Scott was so rude and unprofessional I ended up walking out. This is the second time I've had trouble with Sundance. The first issue was when I brought them my boat prop to have it serviced. They called about a week later and said the prop was ready to be picked up. We packed the boat up and decided to head to powell after we picked up the prop because it's on the way to the lake. We show up to pick up the prop and turns out they hadn't even started it and I just drove 2 hours out of my way to pick it up and now have no boat prop to go to the lake. I think I can honestly say I'm so done with this shady business. read more

I paid over 1,200.00 for them to get my outboard motor on my pontoon boat running correctly. it took me two more years to completely redo the deck and upholstery. When I finally got to launch the boat it had no power. I pulled the boat out to see what the problem was. they had left out the 5.00 part that keeps the shift\throttle cables in place. Once I did that the motor ran like crap. I believe they sprayed sea foam in the carbs and called it good. the carbs needed to be pulled and and varnish removed from jets. there was nothing I could do to convince them that they did not repair the motor as I had paid them 3 years ago. I also paid them to tow my boat from Lake Powell to there shop. I doubt they greased the hubs on my trailer before doing this and fried one of the bearings to the spindle. They are getting a bad rep around where I live. steve stevens Aspen co read more

ordered an accessory switch for my boat. The part was $30 and weighed maybe a 1 lbs. I was quoted $12.50 in shipping. I ordered the part and it was shipped to me approximately a couple months ago. Yesterday I get a phone call from the parts manager claiming that the freight was actually $9.50 more and requested I pay, which I did. It isn't the $9.50 but the lack of customer service. I will not do business again read more

Great people, great service department, great sales department. Honest, helpful, and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond to help.

Awful customer service after the sale. They don't stand by the products they sell and will fight you at every turn to fix something. They NEVER fix anything correctly the first time and will keep your boat for months. They won't even call you back. Do not buy here! read more

Hands-down the absolute worst customer service known to man kind. They are not helpful or knowledgeable. I would suggest spending your money elsewhere. They Will charge you an arm and a leg, act like they don't understand boating or marine products, and then push you out the door of the broken boat with no help. read more

Horrible Service Department Dishonest Shotty Work!!!! (See my Google review for story on how Sundance Marine sent me down the road with faulty brakes after charging hundreds of dollars to rebuild them.) In January I was purchasing a Sea Ray 270 Sundance from a private seller and took it to Sudance Marine for a Pre-purchase inspection. This was a thorough $400.00 inspection. Since this was a cabin cruiser it included multiple systems both for drive and cabin amenities. This inspection also entails compression check, removing the outdrive for inspection and checking all pumps, etc. A few things were pointed out to me which the seller was willing to negotiate on so the purchase was made. As stated in earlier review, trailer brakes were also overhauled by Sundance at this time. (Which failed before I even got home due to incompetent work done by Sundance Marine. The boat was launched just days after the purchase in Lake Havasu, AZ. I pulled the boat off the trailer, took it for a 10 minute ride and headed to the slip I had rented. As I went to pull into the slip I realize I had no reverse, as a matter of fact, no neutral either, and when I went to pull the shifter further back for reverse the boat only went faster in forward as even though the gears didn't change, the throttle still revved faster sending me into the dock. I called John at Sundance Marine and he said sometimes when they take the outdrive off that the shift cables on these Alpha IIIs don't quite get relocated properly when they re-install the drive. He said, "it's a common problem". That's why we always shift these several times from reverse to forward after we have them apart - just to make sure they're in place and working properly. (Later he admitted that when he asked the tech who worked on it if he had shifted it back and forth several times as they are supposed to, the tech just looked at him with guilty eyes and said, "uh, I shifted it once". John said that he told him that he knows better and that that was not acceptable.) So he told me to take it in and have it taken care of. Unfortunately, all the boat shops were busy because of a big event that was only a week away. So, since I'm mechanical, I asked John if he wanted me to check it out myself, that it might save me a lot of time and him a shop bill. He agreed and gave me some guidance as I had never had an AlphaIII off before. Sure enough, the cable was out of place, so I put it back in and buttoned up the IO. Well, it shifted about three times, this time, before it came out again. So John said, "you better get it to a shop as this could become dangerous and a liability we'd rather not be responsible for". I took it to Quality Marine in Havasu; they have one of only 2 Factory Mercruiser Master Techs in Arizona. They disassembled it and found that the shift cable was the original, (and in bad shape) that most all of these had been updated with a better-stronger cable by this time but since mine only had 196 hours on it, that it just hadn't been done. On top of that, there was rusted linkage and detent ball and that this caused it to be hard to shift. He said even if an updated cable was installed it probably still wouldn't shift properly. If they would have shifted it back in forth in the shop when they did your pre-purchase inspection this would have been very apparent! So I called John at Sundance and he was out for the day. Gary at Quality Marine had just slipped me in as a courtesy and said, "we're slammed, if you don't do it now we won't be able to get to it for at least a week." So, I told him to go ahead and fix it. Another $1167 on top of the $300 I paid to fix the trailer brakes that Sundance Marine supposedly overhauled. I have been back and forth with John and the Manager of the Sundance Marine and I haven't received a dime! Double talk that makes a used car salesman seem honest by comparison. To the point it was an insult to my intelligence to even continue conversations with them. The thing about all of this is that, I liked John, thought he was a nice guy and looking out for me on both accounts, he gave me his word that he'd take care of both problems. WOW! What a disappointment! He admitted that his tech didn't do his job properly. Had he, this problem would have been fixed in his shop at the expense of the seller. It saddens me that honesty and integrity have almost become the exception to the rule these days. And that people just lie straight to your face. On both accounts he said he'd take care of the problems, on both accounts he told me to take it in and that they'd take care of it. It has been months since this happened but I just didn't have the time to write this lengthy explanation, but people need to be warned when there are unscrupulous business practices such as this. Beware, John seemed so honest and nice to my face and on the phone but when it came to taking responsibility the truth of who he is proved otherwise. read more

Our boat shredded two engine belts at Lake Powell. First of all they didn't even look at our boat for 3 weeks and then once they did it only took them one day to "fix" it. When we went to pick it up they said that they just had to put a new belt on it and it was good to go. We asked to speak to someone other than the front desk lady and tried to explain that we had already changed the belt and that wasn't the problem, that it was probably the alternator. They insisted that they gave it a test drive and everything and that it was fixed. As we were leaving we noticed that the tag from Lake Powell that tied the boat to the trailer was still attached so we insisted on speaking to the mechanic about it. The mechanic said he ran it in the tank really hard for 15 minutes and it didn't shred the new belt, insisting that it was fixed. Low and Behold within a few minuets of having it on Blue Mesa this weekend a belt shredded. When we called Sundance they hummed and hawed and pretty much just told us to bring it back in for more service. We got mad and kept insisting to talk to someone higher on the chain and they are just saying to bring it in and they will fix any damage that they may have caused free of charge. They said that they can only run it to a certain RPMs in the tank and that it broke when we were going full speed and they don't have the capabilities to run it higher. We feel like when Jon went and personally talked to the mechanic that we made it quite clear at what speed it was breaking and he even said he ran it "hard" for 15 minutes. We keep telling them that they didn't break it, they just failed to fix it. Ultimately, after talking to everyone clear up to the owner, they will not refund our money (370$) that we paid in labor or comp that time to fix the actual problem. We are out an entire summer of boating and will never use their service again. They were extremely rude, liars, and not willing to right their wrongs. read more

I spoke with Gus on the phone. I live over an hour away. I discussed some outboard motor repair work with him. Discuss the price three times. I even said so let's be clear this is the price no extra cost for labor. Gus told me that's absolutely correct and we agreed upon the price. Based on what he told me I drove the more than an hour to Sundance marine with my boat. Upon arrival Gus was nowhere to be found. I asked to speak with Gus and was told he was busy. I explained to the counter person i spent 25 minutes speaking with Gus and then came to an agreement with him. The gentleman the counter didn't care. He told me I needed to explain everything to him again. So I did, he began telling me about what he was going to cost. I explain to him that's not even close to what Gus and i agreed on . The counter person again told me well that's what it's going to cost. I asked again to have them call Gus. They tried to call Gus and again he was unavailable. This is the classic bait and switch. The guy that agrees on the price is never available when you get there then the price I was quoted was three times as much as much as what was agreed to. So just to be clear, the work and the price was discussed and clarified three different times with Gus. When I arrived the switch took place. I would not ever recommend anyone do any business with Sundance without having something in writing first. Protect yourself from the bait and switch. read more

Worst service department ever. The service manager has no idea what he is doing. Took our boat there for a running problem. He told us that the reason it was not running well is because we did not no how to operate it correctly. I have been running boats for 20 years. Maybe they should hire someone that knows something about boats to run their service department. No one should ever take their boat there. The is other options in town. read more
