There are certainly some things to propel me into being a fan of this ice cream shop. First and foremost is that they serve all manners of frozen dairy and non dairy confections. A sometimes overlooked food group and part of any healthy diet. Next, they offer some unique flavors and even several low or no fat/ low or no sugar options. And my overall impression was of a cleanly kept up business with friendly scoopers. But the flavors I tried did not wow me. The decadent chocolate/ chocolate was neither decadent nor very chocolatey, certainly no Death by chocolate or other intense cocoa infused cream. The Cherry cordial was a bit better, but both seemed overloaded with sugar. Prices were ok, but not what I would call inexpensive. And sadly another scoop shop that does not offer free water to wash the creamy treats down. If I returned I might sample a few flavors before choosing one or two, or try a radio ball( a mixture of Italian ice and ice cream). Overall impression of this place is average. While the quantity of flavors were certainly impressive, the shop itself leaves something else to be desire. In fact, if it weren't for all the refrigerators and ice cream machines sitting in the work area, you could easily mistaken this for a warehouse. It was bland and industrial. As I mentioned earlier, the quantities were impressive, but the quality was mediocre. The creaminess factor was a 5/10 and the flavors were neither rich or decadent. I ordered the radio balls which was a mixture of Hava Java ice cream and Oreo water ice. The java ice cream had a weak coffee flavor and bumpy texture while the Oreo water ice tasted like vanilla mixed with chunks of Oreo. The price of a large was $6.75 which is not cheap. This is our favorite scooped ice cream in the area (as opposed to soft serve or gelato) - the texture is ultra creamy (not a lot of air churned in) and the ingredients are top notch. Known for their Radioball (ice cream and water ice), we recently got a London Calling (dulce de leche ice cream with caramel and english toffee pieces) with Bailey's Irish cream water ice Radioball and *my favorite* the banana water ice (so creamy it's practically like ice cream) and bing cherry water ice with real half cherries mixed in. Love the chunks of real fruit! I have yet to find a place that makes their cherry water ice with as many half cherries as they do! Hits that spot every time I get a hankering for water ice! I also really love their pina colada water ice. One of a kind! Water ice is their art. They also make an array of ice creams. They used to be cash only, but now accept credit cards (with a fee). I had such a great experience here my first time going. First of all, there's a drive thru which makes it great already. Then the employee was super quick and pleasant! I was asking questions since it was my first time and he was not annoyed at all. Then the ice cream. Omgosh. Literally the best ice cream I have ever had. This place is pretty far from my house but it is worth the trip!! I got the cake batter ice cream which was called Phatter Batter. It was amazing! Cake pieces all throughout as well as icing. The homemade water ice is also excellent as well as the soft serve ice cream...they have lots of toppings to choose from and so many flavors that it is difficult to choose, but you can never go wrong...My go-to flavors are the Mounds Abounds (coconut ice cream with chocolate chips) and their Mint Choc Chip is also great... The portions are also very generous. the Chunky Chiquita especially in a milk shake... Is so good. I like that you can park and go inside or eat at an outside table if you'd like. I can't express how good this place is. If you have not been to Sundae's then you have never tried an ice cream or water ice worth eating. Like many have said before me, their products are home made. They have a list of creative ice creams that you can try that can be intimidating at first but whatever you choose you will love. When I first started to go here when I was a kid, I would always get half pina colada and half coconut chocolate chip. Yes, I know they can be viewed as similar but they're not! The pina colada definitely has the pineapple factor to it whereas the coconut chocolate chip is out of this world! The water ice is creamy and unlike any Rita's, Polish Water Ice, Italiano's, etc. water ice you have ever tasted. It is to die for. Recently I have started to get their radio balls (water ice layered with actual ice cream) or ice cream and have not been disappointed. Their ice cream is so smooth, so creamy, and the flavors are out of this world. I haven't tried a huge selection but none of my friends are ever disappointed with their creative flavors that they get such as the U2 Crazy (mint, fudge, and M&Ms). I always get their Mounds Abounds (coconut and chocolate chip chunks) and their banana, the best darn banana ice cream I have ever come across; and I'm not even a fan of bananas! What I love is that their "chocolate chips" are more like those chocolate sheets that you get in Ben & Jerry's ice cream; but, don't compare the two! The ice cream was as creamy and flavorful as described in so many of the other reviews. The whipped cream was thick and sweet and made from real cream. I never expect much in the way of service from a place that largely employs teenagers and college students, but there is no excuse for not having basic skills. "Hello, how are you?" is a good start, not "what do you want?" followed by "is that it?" Decent selection. Meh on the prices. I get it -- it's all homemade blah blah blah. Sundae's is home to some of the most decadent flavors of water ice and as Jasneet mentioned, their amazing fat free soft serve frozen yogurt. The list of flavors is intimidating - but the little kid in me always goes for the peanut butter fudge water ice. Okay, so Sundae's cheats a bit - this flavor definitely uses some milk - but when paired with the chocolate soft serve in a gelati, this is to die for. Far and away the best water ice in the area. Don't even bother with the others. Everything here is homemade and you'll often see the owners running in from spur of the moment shopping trips for milk and the like. The drive-thru is great but usually a longer wait than if you were inside, no matter how packed it looks in there. A few indoor and lots of outdoor seats, just be careful you don't sit in some drippings from your sloppy predecessors. Be sure to have cash and plenty of it, things can get costly. They've got everything to make a killer sundae, radio ball, gelati but I only have eyes for the coconut chocolate chip (large shreds of coconut with huge chocochunks) and cappuccino (mmm, espresso) water ice. read more

What are they putting in the milkshakes that makes them so closely resemble crack? Everytime I go through the drive-thru (how great is that?) and get my mint chocolate chip or coffee milkshake, I expect the novelty to wear off. I mean, I've had a dozen of these milkshakes by now. Yet everytime, it's as good as it was the first time I had one. They've got great water ice here, great ice cream, crazy inventive flavors, funny things to read (even the ice cream menu is "zany"), and far and away the best milkshake you'll ever have in your life.
