Super solid manicure. I found this gem on yelp and the owner promptly called me back after I emailed for an appointment. Place is clean and very NYC style. Manicure was fast, efficient and beautiful. My regular mani is still going strong after 6 days. My only critique is that it was $20 for a mani, but hey... after living in NYC all manicures seem expensive. read more

I'm not entirely sure how this place got #2 on Yelp. I'm not even sure if it's called Suncoast Nail Spa as the name outside the door is Nail Looks and Spa. I made an appointment and still had to wait 20 minutes to get started. I couldn't even find the color I was looking for, but luckily Lili knows her stuff and was able to find something comparable to what I wanted. The salon itself is very messy (e.g. the saddle you rest your hands on has nail polish all over it so do all the portable gel UV lights that are laying out on the counter, And all the nail bushes are just hanging out in these mixed match cup holders, etc.). I'm going to tell myself the tools they used on me were sterilized and clean. :-| It's a typical nail salon that seems to overbook by accepting walk-ins and appointments and in the end compromises on the service put forward and the customer satisfaction. I'm not sure when it became so taboo to have an offering of services and prices for customers to view to have an expectation of what they will be paying. I was told my manicure was $20 but was then charged $25. If I wanted any designs it would be an additional $3.75 each. A gel French manicure and pedicure will cost you $105. See... was that so hard? I'm not sure why there is such a push by the staff to do dip either. Is it because it's more expensive? Is it because that's their forte? The only reason this place got a star was because of Lili. She did a nice job on my manicure. Because of how messy it is, how slow the service was, and how expensive they are, I will not be returning. read more

Terrible job. I only got a mani/pedi and it looks terrible. I'm sure it has to do with old product. My nails have bubbles under the polish. It's thick. I do a better job. This is a smaller salon and it's very clean inside. However, I'm disappointed with the quality my nails were done in. I am a frequent gel nail polish user and I usually get at least 2 weeks out of each manicure before it starts to be noticeably in need of redoing. I got my nails done Monday and it's Friday and I've already had 4 nails peel completely off. I don't work with my hands, there is no reason that it should be peeling totally off my nails. She went all out to accommodate! And she speaks perfect English! They did an absolute great job on my French pedicure! And the best leg massage! Michelle did an expert job on my eyebrow wax! Verrrry pleased customer! The salon has brand new massage chairs, very clean and attractive with a separate relaxing room for waxing and Facials! Don't waste your time shopping around. This hideaway is deceiving. From the outside not much presence but this little village nail spa is superb! Worth driving to from nearby communities. My daughter had her nails done somewhere else in Westchase on New Year's Eve. By later that day the nail polish had a grey oxidation float up throughout the neon pink color. It only darkened...then started to chip. The nails were awful by day 2. It's the 3rd today and we had to replace 3 day old nails! So happy to find a nail spa that uses only quality products that are safe. The pride of workmanship is superb. Other customers there RAVED about their nails and were driving 10 miles+ to go there! This is a small nail salon but with very polite staff! My sister and were greeted right away when w walked in for gel pedicures. There are people waiting but they didn't rush to get to the next customer that's always a plus. Massage was awesome. They're very short staffed but very patient. Well.... if I could give this place zero stars I absolutely would. From the start all of the employees were rude. In addition to their rude behavior the whole time of the service, they were unprofessional and did not give myself or my friend what we asked for in our manicures. They also injured my friend's foot during her pedicure. The conditions of the salon were unclean and in disrepair. Very poor experience, do not waste your time. read more

Went here today for a manicure and pedicure. They were not crowded so that is a plus. Pretty decent pedicure, manicure was a little expedient (but that is probably because I had already cut my nails). A guy doesn't require much though, so no big deal. I would recommend this place though. Prices for the pedicures range from $30-$60 (I think those are the prices I saw). I don't know how that compares as I don't get a whole lot of these (maybe two or three times a year) and I hardly ever look at the prices. read more

Very Disappointed with the attitude and the service. I do not expect to get a dirty look when I am a regular customer and wanted a polish change on this particular visit. I have been going here for years and the new manager/owner needs to be well aware of the lack of training and the poor attitude. I am a regular spa and nail salon goer and do so all over the country. I have very high expectations and this Experience was fantastic. I got the $60 pedi and it was so worth it. Many times these pedis cost a fortune but aren't much different from the basic. This included a 20 minute foot massage, paraffin dip, mask, scrub, everything you could want including wine and chocolate. The owner was so sweet and adorable and friendly. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the pressure of the massage was not enough despite me voicing it. And the massage itself wasn't great. Otherwise, it was perfect.
